She had no siblings other than an older brother, who had done his fair share of both coddling and scolding towards her, for her sake. As the two siblings grew, Young Hilda would notice how her parents, as well as others around, would set so many high expectations on this seemingly perfect brother of hers, and how he almost always meets them. The results of failure, however, were devastating...so many people disappointed, let down, and failed. Hilda never really had expectations set on her, so...she decided that she'd live a life without expectations. No need to worry about disappointing people or letting them down, she only needed to worry about herself. The others could manage, right? Besides, there were plenty of people she could rely on to handle most things for her. She indeed grew into a woman who saw herself as free. She still received both her fair share of both coddling and scolding from her family, but in the end, she had no intention of letting that stop her. She had a passion, she had some hobbies, she had a wealth of free time...but there must be something out there for her, in life...not that she would notice just yet. While she was introduced to the hobby of Gaming, it wasn't her main focus. When she heard of Sword Art Online, she didn't consider it...until her brother came home one day and convinced her to play it, for whatever reason. So she put on the headset, and said those fateful words. Now she's trapped in Aincrad, left to fend for herself. How will she manage now? As much as she hated to admit it, getting out would require her to either put in the effort towards escape, or to hope that the others could get the job done. She'd been relying on the former for all this time so far, but there always comes a time when push comes to shove...will she be ready for what inevitably lies ahead? ♥Personality♥ Spoiler In short, Colette is spoiled sweet. She'd grown up in a considerably wealthy environment, but despite this, she's aware that it's not all about her and she likes to be enjoying life with others. She likes engaging in conversation with people, she also has a passion for fashion and for crafting accessories. She likes to sing and is a skilled dancer. Her love for cute things and colorful flowers is also notable. Her upbringing has had its downsides of course, mainly an aversion to discomforts such as extreme temperatures hot and cold alike, as well as personal exhaustion and overexertion. She is Kindhearted, Strong-Willed and Capable, but alas, no one is perfect, for she is also Adverse to Effort, Sly, and Insecure. ♥Virtues♥ Spoiler Kindhearted: Despite her upbringing, she's no jerk on purpose. She's willing to lend a hand to friends, and show concern for others. Once you really get to know her, you may find her being more generous than you first expected. Who knows, get close enough with her and she might actually be willing to put in some effort for you...within reason, of course. Strong-willed: Colette is a free spirit, preferring to do things her own way. She will go to great lengths to carve out her own path for herself. No matter what people say, no matter what people do, she's going to keep being herself. Capable: Colette is surprisingly capable, and talented, despite her flaws. When push comes to shove, or when she feels like there's no other option, she'll give her all. Should she put in the effort, she'll try her best to make sure it's not wasted! ♥Flaws♥ Spoiler Aversion to Effort: Colette hates putting in effort. When faced with a task she believes she's not up to, or simply can't be bothered to do, her typical go-to is to either hand it off to someone else, or find some excuse not to do it. After all, what's the point of putting in effort if it's only going to be a waste? Why bother biting off more than you can chew? Sly: Colette has a tendency to try various tactics and methods for getting her way, for better or for worse. The most common instances of this lie within persuasion, either to convince someone to help her out, or as a way to encourage and motivate. Not everything in life is accomplished by simple means, sometimes, it just takes a little guile. Insecure: Despite her capabilities, she's unsure she has what it takes. Seeing what happens when a "Perfect" sibling fails to meet expectations placed upon them, the possibility turned out to be something she didn't want to ever experience. The weight of expectation is heavy upon her, so she does what she can to avoid getting any expectations placed upon her at all. Easier that way, right?
