It was a good way to break away from the monotony and get some exercise, a lot of teas and carbs threatened to fatten him up. Combine that with all the sitting around lately and it was a welcome break. It was here he'd notice the strange woman that he'd met in a chance encounter. "What the hell?" Sat on a bench, her head propped on her right arm. She watches Raidou pop up abruptly as if he'd notice something, and the look on his face was one of shock. "What? Some noobie..." Raidou 1 Posted August 9 #5 Share Posted August 9 Raidou winds onto the field at a breakneck pace, with Celeste hot on his heels. The violent flash of yellow light glares out amongst the sudden dust storm in the swordsman's wake, but the trajectory just doesn't add up. As he tears across the field Piasuhon continues rushing along and seems to connect with some bubble around the woman who was egging them to join her. "The hell?" Raidou quips as he's taken aback. His attack missed solely due to this woman's intervention, and yet even his eyes could not see any mention of a weapon nor a shield. The wanderer quickly scans her, virtually unscathed and what made matters worse is she didn't even seem to be paying attention. He'd reverse his blade and turn to face this monster head on, but keeps a curious glance on his peripheral trying to understand this player that had trounced out here completely unarmed. Which was to be expected given the woman was just out here in the middle of a battlefield basically butt ass naked. Celeste rushes in and with every step she seems to glow hotter, cobalt blue flames seeming to scorch the ground and trail behind her in a roar. "Kneel to the strength of Owraron's Might, take heed and falter beneath the power of our ancestors." Celeste drones in a fashion and tongue not her own, as a male voice rings out in tandem with her own. What follows is a singular swipe that casts a massive blanket. The tsunami of cobalt blue flames, the flames of fate themselves. Within that sudden potent heat that clings to the walls and sheers the battlefield to glass, a body comes rocketing out scorched and burned beyond compare. It twitches and manages to find its feet. Panning back to Celeste, one can hear her snear as her weapon slams into the newly formed glass. A translucent mirage of her former blade, seeming to collect the flames that had obliterated most of the arena and the stands. The woman twists her head and the satisfying pop. "Fuck you buddy." Instinctually Simmone shields her face but after a few seconds she realize it doesn't burn. Simmone's legs twirl around and a booted heel in leather is placed upon the creature. A sharp tug withdrawals it and reveals this ichorous black mucus pouring from the wound. Such a magnificent display of bravery. She saunters toward the beast, running her hand along its side as it falters. It slides in aggression at her embrace. "Now now." she offers it as her eyes flare in a faint silver. "A brilliant display" She offers the players that had invaded the arena and barked and blew the place asunder. "But will it last? Show me how the chains that adhere to your hearts have remained. Allow me to see the potency of your contract." She'd twist her hand in an intrigued smile, and with it she'd take steps back from the creature. It seemed to find a renewed vigor, and rushes down the other players. This causes it to veer off and continue off into the stands, slamming into the stone with a satisfying thud. The weapon carries downward dragging dust in the wake, as the light fades. It was as if a surge of energy racked through his system, and static jumps down the length of his sword and back. Space seems to fold in an instant, and Raidou was within striking distance. It was to such an unnatural degree that the air itself seems to have to fight to keep up, providing a sharp boom. Within that jarring snap across the field, the wanderer pays a large sweeping slice of gold that sheers clean into the rhino. Bits and pieces of its armor sheer off as the electricity seems to scatter across its frame. This discharge finds itself to the ground before scattering outward. "Sorry." Raidou remarks to Celeste as an apology for his sudden mental absence. The wanderer moves his feet and his weapon, preparing for the inevitable counterattack from the beast. Celeste 1 Posted August 10 #14 Share Posted August 10 Standard Recovery +4 EN, Battle Healing +30 HP "No sweat." Celeste quips clutching her side where the wireframe is showing, as it slowly starts to crawl itself back together. She'd stare off to the woman before her gaze catches Raidou and pays him a nod. Turning her head abruptly sees her skull slam into the creatures, just behind the horn and causes it to wobble. "Fuck you dude!" the blood raven barks as she tilts back and rips the blade in a wide upper arc. The blade tears in clean leaving a singular trail of cobalt blue flames, Celeste releasing the handle with one hand and using it to balance her weight. "Lets finish this" she looks to the rest of her party as she seeks for agreement, waiting out for her skill stasis to fade. This was taking a lot longer then she was expecting, but then again they had a white haired rogue element that threw a wrench right in the middle of that plan. Now it was just clean up. A silent nod as she lets that strange mix of images wash from her forethoughts. What returns is her attention to Piasuhon, and with it the blade in her left hand stirs up with a flourish. From the tip a violet color begins and traces it down to the grip. A solid beam of purple as she presents it in front of her face, a quick twist and like a rocket the woman draws this thin line of light through the air. It draws clean across Piasuhon's left side, exposing the inner workings as its virtually gutted. Sliding to a halt, her skill stasis fighting another art from being fired off, she quickly raises her right and snaps her fingers. A metallic clamping of shackles is heard, followed by the sound of dragging chains. Black begins to pour out of the newly formed wound, like pus from a boil. The black cat silently hoping this was finally over. Players seemed to strike hard and fast with the sudden acknowledgement of one of their own in danger. "There's the fire, I knew I saw smoke." The woman bellows to the empty stage, lifting her hands as if this was the final act. "You have served your purpose quite amicably." the white haired woman offers as her gaze shifts to Piasuhon with that same deadened yet plastered smile. It was just as playful as always, but carried with it a sinister connotation. Piasuhon shutters, as black continues to pour out of its eyes and mouth. Its strength clearly giving way as every second continues to tick past. *click* Her heel in the dust, the first time she's moved since the battle had began, yet not many would have noticed. Given no NPC's in the stands, and the players so readily raptured and captured by her presence. The woman seemed to vanish, which was saying quite a bit given the circumstances. The nomad even used <<Tracking>> and she somehow popped up on floor 27 of all places. She must have skipped out while they were distracted, a teleport crystal or something to that effect. She was a rather curious creature to be sure. Leaning off to one side, he couldn't catch a wink of sleep. Collecting his glasses from the table he'd saunter downstairs, to find both Celeste and Simmone equally as restless in the guild hall main room. He'd rub his eyes past his glasses and find himself to the kitchen. "I'm going to get some air." He'd pay them before perhaps a conversation was in order. Out the front doors, he'd spot the ring of flying monkeys past the tree. "Great. Perfect." Raidou remarks with the door still ajar. "Let's walk and talk." Seems the witch that the others enjoyed swatting as a chore was building up her forces again. The woman had never really accompanied them on this escapade before, but it would hardly be anywhere as difficult as she'd dealt with on the regular. A heeled boot shatters a wooden door, sending the thing catapulting across the base of the tower. A surprising amount of force with such a simple gesture, the thing goes clean through a bookshelf and glassware rains from the ceiling. "Knock Knock mother fucker." Celeste quips as she immediately blinds inside and the room seems to explode, casting blue flames across the entire interior in a flash. What follows is screaming burning monkeys rushing from the column of fire, some charred and falling to the grass and others quickly rolling around and putting themselves out in haste. "I suppose I can always use more brews." she remarks joining the party.... Once the flames would clear, Simmone yawns with her eyes watering. She draws her weapon as she does, and immediately leaps into action. An elegant punch left and right, she fences the beasts to oblivion with little issue. After all most of them were not even to the same caliber as random spawns that could be encountered and she knew it. With simple flourishes she easily coup de grace the grounded ones, leaving Celeste to play bull in a china shop and she'd clean up the damn stragglers. Another heavy yawn, she'd look to Raidou. "You couldn't sleep either. Who was that woman?" Plugging the nomad and hoping that maybe he could provide some more elaborate answer, which was kind of his shtick. Flames continued to explode out of every orifice of the tower, they were in no real danger. He seemed focused on them as he'd shake his head no. "I have no idea, I met her once in this strange 'room'" He paid her only real recollection, but undoubtedly left out the part where he thought she might be his mother. In some fashion at least. "It was a brief conversation, and I wasn't alone. But that's all I really know about her. I can track her down, but she seems to skip around quite a lot. Must have a massive store of teleport crystals." Raidou attempted to rationalize it in the ways he knew how. Out of impulse he triggers tracking and receives a hit. It was close... Too close... He looks up the tower, and he cannot help but fire the word "What!?" beneath his breath. To his scabbard behind his right shoulder he rips the blade free.
