A simple walk, as the creatures within this place paid her no mind. They did not seek what she was, and if given the chance they would not be able to harm her like the others. The sudden sounds of footsteps at her back causes her to turn around. Looking plainly at the wanderer, clad in his red robe and grimacing. Clearly putting everything he had into bridging the gap, seeking answers even to his own peril. "You were warned." The woman goads moments before the wave of black seems to make him vanish. Sharpened claws within that mass cutting into his digital skin like paper, yet his wounds closing just as quick through sheer tenacity. "I commend your determination, but what are you willing to sacrifice for such answers? Why should I change or alter what you have wrought?" She spoke out into nothing, as the players continued to be consumed.

A twist of her hand sees them stir, as she contemplates the next action she would take.

Celeste manages out one final swing before her lungs seem to collapse, the flames on her weapon threatening to go out. "Shit...." She barks out pushing her left hand into her knee, trying to force herself to stand through willpower alone. But the strength just wasn't there. What was worse was it seemed no matter how many they were putting down, more of these creatures just seemed to show. Despite them cutting them down number by number, it seemed they were actually gaining numbers. What started as a trickle seemed like an endless writhing mass that threatened to swallow them all hole. Celeste could feel that sudden sense of the end, like an old friend she didn't pay it any despair. Instead it was almost like acceptance. If she was going to go out, at least she would go down swinging. Her eyes dart back to Simmone, given that she could no longer see Raidou at all.

Simmone manages to clear the area directly around her before her legs give out, her stamina nothing more then a singular pixel out of an entirely empty bar. Looking past the wave of black she manages to see the redhead just in time for them to lock eyes. Somehow, and in some way there is a moment of shared connection. As if they were both consoling the other through a stare, this might very well be the end of the road. Who knew that this was how the day would play out, when this morning it was so clearly carefree. It was here that the sound seems to drown out, and instinctually she tries again to scan for Raidou somewhere in that mix. As if trying to allow for a final melding of minds before everything cut to black, Seconds later his sword coming to the ground in a clang mere inches from her.

The sharpened red film met with his determination, mixing into a thick purplish red fog. The creatures around him begin to drain, as they wrestle his weapon from his grip. Siphoning off their life Raidou manages to close his own wounds, pushing himself through tooth and claw. Every fiber of his being struggling to break his binds. A singular cry from above, that clap of thunder.

Nothing is impossible.

The familiar voice rings through his ears like a distant memory, and with it the storm above dumps its orbital down into the boy like a lightning rod. The voidlings flee the blast, as Raidou's muscles seize under the sudden shock. It wasn't painful however, like a tingle he'd found times before. Scattering like mice, Raidou looks off to see his sword planted into nothing handle up. He turns his upper body left to peel himself off his back, bracing on his right hand and quickly pivoting his legs underneath him into a sprinters kneel. What follows is a dark red blur exploiting the [Forgotten Kings Authority] in a jarring and overclocked speed. Grasping the handle of his blade, he rips it clean and raises it high. Another discharge of that storm is caught on the blade.

A tilt of the womans head, the distance between them built again. The wanderer and his allies chose to stand together in what could very well be their final moments, instead of seeking answers to questions. "Well done." The woman offered in a coy tone, just as playful as always. "It seems there is still some fight left in you three. There will be a time for answers, but those answers will be paid on my terms." Morrighan looked on to them and their focused attentions. Her voice carrying into the vacuum at a much greater volume. "Leave this place, and learn patience." The woman twists and for a brief moment her appearance changes, offering a mirage of black wings and hair. The shadows recoil and scream out as the room fills with a blinding white light, as if a sun had been born in this very room.

The portal remained but the woman was gone, and with it a parting word "I could not be prouder, you prove your contract every day. Heralds of Fate."
