He'd finally identified that strange feeling in his chest. The feeling was disgust. After everything was said and done, he was absolutely disgusted with what the quest was trying to tell him. He was a murderer. There was no doubt about that. No room for misinterpretation there. He'd spent years in isolation for it. He'd spent longer trying to atone for those sins in whatever way he possibly could, despite how impossible he knew that was. It was still rare for him to get a good night's sleep. And that was how it should be. To so flippantly disregard the value of a life was disgusting. It was a vile thing. Pinball could never atone for the lives he'd taken. His hands were stained with their blood. But he didn't wear gloves and try to hide it. He didn't go and get his cursor turned back to that perfect emerald hue. He didn't masquerade as someone he was not. But he knew that people did. The Forgotten Time King had gotten it all twisted. He didn't take pleasure in killing. Not anymore. But he knew there were people who did. He had no reason to lord over others. He hardly enjoyed being around people in the first place. But he knew there were some who would give anything to be in a position of power over someone. What's done was done. He wouldn't hide it. When the time came to pay, he would do so willingly.
