Reese was a unique individual throughout his life. Born with a face that seems unapproachable, he was often considered the outcast of society from school to adulthood. At a young age, he was raised in a single mother household in the streets of Valencia. Valencia rarely often showed the downcast of society but there was always a dark side to every place within the world. His mother, a night bar hostess, made money based on her looks and was often missing in the young man’s life. Regardless, he was still raised properly by his abuela to ensure that some sort of value was instilled within him.

Despite the upbringing, he turned toward more gang related activities in the dog eat dog world. He had picked up several bad habits such as smoking and drinking at a relatively young age as he chose to participate as a thug to provide money for his family. Leading an honest life in the slums was too difficult for those who had no backing and thus turned toward the backside of society.

Secretly though, Reese didn’t want to live such a life. He had often dreamed of becoming more than just who he was. He wanted to contribute to society and be productive. He wanted to ensure that his mother was taken care of and not a lady of the night. However, born with a mean look, he was often rejected from workplaces due to his unfriendly face. He did leave some sort of mysterious charm though at times when he was caught staring into space.

At last, he was an adult. As an adult, he was only often called upon to do activities on the dark side as just a delivery man for money laundering. He often refused to spread drugs within the city boundaries despite the lucrative compensation he would receive. Abuela always said never to pollute the citizens as Abuelo would always sit in his rocking chair smoking a pipe of tobacco. His ambition was to at least be something of relative use instead of dying in an unmarked grave. He found himself working in construction and was being paid well. His goal? He wanted to purchase the new VR game that was being produced and had finally made it and waited for its arrival and release date. His world would soon change.

Personality: His face is cold and could be considered mean mugging someone without a second thought. People tend to avoid him at first sight instead of engaging in conversation. Underneath? He’s a warm and capable person. He is a dreamer and tends to hold conversations of future endeavors. He has honor in protecting his family and those who he holds dear. He might be warm and fuzzy inside, but he also does have a mean streak. Due to the nature of his past, he has a hard time with trust. Trust is not given easily. He is as weary as the day he was born knowing the cruel nature of humanity.
 

Virtue/Flaws:

Virtue:

Justice- Despite being a former thug, his life has always been on the hinge of protecting the weak from the corrupted or powerful. Having defended his mother several times at night, he has developed a keen sense of justice when men have gotten too close or handsy. As he progressively gets older, he understands that someone needs to have this sense of virtue to stand up for those who are constantly being punished for things either they didn't do or being persecuted for others enjoyment. 

 

Assertiveness- His is not easily swayed with words or with fists. He represents himself and shows people that his view is his own view, and their view is theirs to uphold. He won’t infringe on others values even if they do not align with his. However, he will express himself if they become overbearing and wish to be left alone.

Courage- Having chosen the tank path, he marches on with his shield to continue on with protecting others knowing their lives depend on it. Despite being scared, he overcomes difficulties knowing that the experience gained from such will grant him more wisdom and self-encouragement. Having been alone for majority with no friends, he has endured by developing this virtue with the encouragement of his Abuela that everyone is scared of something but not everyone has the courage to change it. 

 

Flaws:

Addict- He is a habitual smoker and drinker in reality. Not having the vices here can make him highly irritable unless he finds something to either entertain him or lessen the burden of stress. He can lash out at the wrong time as most addictions take mental toll on a person despite this being a game. 

Vindictive- If he has been done wrong or if someone close to him has been done wrong, he can hold a grudge and become opportunistic in getting what he wants within his ability. He can prove to be underhanded when opportunity knocks. Having grown up in gangs, betrayal can make a man callous and dangerous when pitted alone with others. 

Prideful: He has trouble admitting when he is wrong. He hates being placed in a situation and may even make it worse if he opens his mouth as he tends to often add fuel to the fire when he is wrong. He has a tendency to prolong these "excursions" before apologizing and may take a couple days to reflect upon it giving others the wrong idea that he may also be stubborn as well. Apologizing is something rare that he ever does.
