[PP-F03; T1 Locked; Assisted] Elves, Minotaurs, and... Putt-Putt? <<Search for the Hoya>>

"Alright," Wulfrin said as he and Ciela stepped off the teleport gate on Floor 3. "Here we are. We're doing a bit of grind work today. The quest should be easy enough for us to clear. Afterwards I wanna go duel an Elf. I heard he drops an item that works as a substitute for the Fighting Spirit skill. It would help me draw hate on adventures with low level players. It could help you generate hate as well. Lastly, my reveres are running a bit low. I need to grind up some monsters for Col and crafting materials. But first..."

Wulfrin swiped through his menus until he found the adjustment slider for his level and tier. With a few adjustments, his level dropped to match Ciela's and the tier of the party was dropped to one. He was trying to get a leg up on the boss by already having himself locked to the tier.

"Exp boost for matching your level and tiering down for field boss." Wulfrin explained as he continued into the streets, "Field boss would force us down anyway might as well make the most of it."

Wulfrin guided the duo through the streets. He knew who he was looking for, so it didn't take long to track down Larbrook.

"Hey Larbrook," Wulfrin said completely glazing past the NPC's attempts to start the quest. "We're here for the maze, hoping to beat Freyd's score! There is no need for you to come, I know where I'm going."

Wulfrin pressed the accept button on the panel that appeared before them. He was in full speedrun mode. They had a packed day so sitting through grueling dialogue was way out of the question. Wulfrin navigated the small party of two through the forest of Wavering Mist with ease, and soon the entrance to the maze was in sight. He gestured for his tank of a fiancé to take the lead.

'After you dear," He said as he materialized a small white ball and a specially designed club.

After Wulfrin's small dissertation over their plan for the day Ciela went ahead of Wulfrin, looking into the entrance to the maze. She couldn't see an end in sight, or she could but it was a wall. There was really only one way to go, in. There was only a few more paths from the main one that veered off after a while. When she turned back to Wulfrin, he was holding a small golf ball and a special club. "Are we playing freaking mini golf? They made a mini golf course in a quest??? I'm so confused." She shrugged. She took the ball and club and gently hit them, not knowing what to truly do. "I don't know where we're going. Have you done this before?" She handed him back the golf ball and the club. "Your turn... I guess?" Ciela wouldn't lie, this whole thing was confusing. And Wulfrin's lack of information wasn't helping.

"Well..." Wulfrin said with a grin as he lined up a shot. "Let's just say some players got creative."

Wulfrin struck the small white ball with moderate force and precision. With a clever bank of the wall, the ball sailed into the adjacent corridor where the sound of it clinking around in a tight space could be heard. Wulfrin gave a fist bump before gesturing Ciela to follow.

"Truth is," He continued as he picked his ball up from a small hole left by a missing brick in the floor. "This quest requires you to scour this massive maze for two minotaurs and kill them. Unfortunately just wandering aimlessly got a bit boring, so a group of players came through and made a small course to help pass the time. I believe Freyd currently tops the leader board, but I haven't checked it in a while. Honestly though wouldn't surprise me. He probably helped build the damned thing considering he's probably repeated every quest available in the game a handful of times each."

Ciela tilted her head, a bit perplexed by the setup. It finally clicked. A maze with mini golf and minotaur hunting? It wasn't the kind of combination she'd expected, but she loved mini golf, so she decided to roll with it. "That doesn't sound too hard," Ciela stated with a confident grin. "We're just searching for and killing Minotaurs? Sounds like a piece of cake for us."

She borrowed Wulfrin's putter once again. With a focused stance, she took another swing, only to send the ball ricocheting through the maze with chaotic clinks and plinks, like a pinball machine on the fritz. "Damn," she muttered, crossing her arms as the ball finally came to a stop in a corner far away from where they were. She returned his fist bump with a playful smile. "Good job honey. Looks like I might've overestimated my strength on that swing."

A chuckle escaped Ciela's lips, making this a perfect moment to pick fun at Wulfrin. "Why doesn't it surprise me that Freyd tops the leaderboard for this?" Her eyebrow cocked, a smirk creeping across her face. "So my darling, are you going to attempt to beat his record. I know how much you love a good challenge."

Today was definitely unconventional, but she had to admit it had a fun, lighthearted vibe. She was considering this a date. A date involving mazes, mini golf, teamwork, and slaying Minotaurs? It was no candlelit dinner and roses, but it definitely fit the vibe of their relationship. It was unique, it was them. Her smile softened as she looked at Wulfrin, pride swelling in her chest. Either he didn't plan this, or he really put thought into this. Either way, I'm so proud of him.

"Definately not," Wulfrin replied as he lined up another putt. "Freyd has done this so many times that I'm pretty sure he's more than capable of one hitting every hole in this place."

With a gentle tap of the club head, the ball rolled gently gown the center of the maze corridor. There was a slight bank in the course only noticeable when his ball began a slight right curve. He had compensated for this, and as such his ball gently came to rest within a small metal cup set into the ground in the right corner of their current corridor. A silent celebration came from Wulfrin in the form of a fist pump as he moved to collect his ball for the next hole.

"That's a two for me," Wulfrin said as he pulled out a small rectangular piece of paper and a thin piece of graphite. Using the wall of the cave he noted down his score then moved to help Ciela line up her next putt. "Allow me to assist you dear."

Wulfrin wrapped his body around hers from behind, helping adjust her stance and aim. In one fluid motion, their arms moved in unison. With a bit more force than he had placed on his ball, Ciela's rolled down the corridor and came to rest within the metal cup with a series of rapid plinks.

"And that's a two for you," Wulfrin chuckled as he jotted down her score. "It's all in the technique. We aren't on a driving range, so you don't have to smack the shit out of it. Slow and steady."
