In each lingered the thickened syrup that showed that a fetid creature spread its influence in mass like a plague. In corners and piles lay a pile of bones to and from, that would play the part of armor in the coming conflict. Heeled black thigh highs kept out the moisture but brought about the question of why such an interesting choice in attire? The answer, well that could not be readily obtained. Nor could their reasons for deep diving within this sulfur pit stench of envious muck. Instead those answers would find themselves unanswered, locked away for the answer would be near impossible to fathom. A simplicity in the lack of an answer, just another player who happened into the wrong area....right? The red robe on his back swaying with every footfall, and each time his feet connect a splash sends small droplets out in an echo. Blackened walkways in rounded ceilings, like tubes of a a murky yet light tan sandstone. Centered in each walkway, troughs of water list harmlessly past like man made creeks filled with filth. Lifting his lenses up the bridge of his nose, eyes dance through eerily dimly lit halls. That flickering orange played upon the glass, turning his eyes to shields of pure white. "She's close." He'd offer back to his party, eagerly on the hunt for the woman in white to which had dropped bombshell after bombshell. They weighed carefully her involvement, questioned coming action and pondered how to handle the situation. These somber halls carry with them an aura of abandonment, to which most cannot hope to reclaim. The light here threatening to break her concealment, she keeps to the shadows and locks eyes with her cousin. The girl pays him a simple nod before twisting and vanishing out of sight once more. Into a dimly lit sub passage, her eyes catch but the simplest but notable glow that causes the wet walls to shine. The nomad was right, clearly someone was down here. After that acknowledgement is made, the girl moves in closer. Trying to bridge the distance without being discovered by that which they were pursuing. The collections of goo that sprinkled the place show that they were hardly going to have an easy go at this, clearly. Gaius remarks toward his companion, eyeing the walls as if they would provide some response. Scanning the environment provides little benefit yet confirms that they sucked. He'd fan out a bit and usher forward to the next immediate constructed tunnel on his left, stepping through the recessed pool of water and looking down the length. It was odd construction, as Gaius looks up toward the rounded rooms ceiling. They were circular chambers with grates directly centered in their ceiling and in a way they actually pretty accurately mimicked real sewer systems. The water would flow down the drain into the base chamber then collect in the recess and flow outward into a more central flow canal. "Huh, first time I think that this actually makes sense." Celeste 1 Posted August 22 #5 Share Posted August 22 227833 | Starting Stealth Rating (LD 6 + 3 = 9), Failure! Trying her best to mimic Kasumi, Celeste was having nearly none of the same luck. Probably due to the fact she was hefting around in thicker galtean armor and that weapon of hers making her weight value much larger. This made her footfalls that much more clumsy, like a pick up truck through some bushes, she'd try and slip in slowly. Tapping a singular bone with her foot sees it slide across the surface toward the white haired woman, who would immediately turn to greet Celeste with a smile. Stepping out of the shadows knowing that she'd been discovered, the best option she had now was to offer Kasumi a distraction. "She's in here alright..." Celeste ushers down the tunnel toward Raidou and the others, keeping her gaze locked to Nisahime while she does. At first it takes the shape of almost a liquid mount but after a few moments appendages start to form out of them. Kasumi, first on the spark immediately leaps into action and slams her foot into the first available target. It turns to a lime green spray of liquid from the force, as the lavender colored trail of her foot cuts through clean not entirely unlike a cleaver. Within that same instant, she retracts her heel to her thigh and turns to disappear. A flash of dark bluish purple, and she exists in another space in an instant and offers a singular open palm from her waist. Again this sees her foe become shapeless and coating on of the sewer walls with its body. An attack makes its way for her back, but in a blink she's gone and all that's left is these rich colored flower petals. He was growing bored with all this walking around doing nothing he was doing up to this point, so the very instant there was a break in the monotony he was raring to go. Unlike the rest of these sticks in the mud. Why had she not grouped up with him before now? Ripping her hand out to her right side, she'd lock eyes with Nisahime as her armiger formed up out of a blue spark of fire. The light builds, as flames begin to scream across its surface and without warning she turns and heaves it like its a small dagger. Whirling through the air, the massive slab of metal slams into her target. Blinking in a sharp trail of slightly transparent blue lines, they draw straight through her opponent as she latches to the hilt of her blade. Turning and dumping that oversized chunk of metal into the floor, the entire room detonates in a horrific spray of cobalt blue flame of immeasurable heat. Simmone 0 Posted August 23 #11 Share Posted August 23 *Note, distracted by discord and forgot an attack.* Without a second to waste, as soon as the room fills with Celeste's fire. Simmone springs into action. Her weapon immediately fills with violet and three footsteps close her deeper into the chamber. The weapon hums and then turns to a missile that carries her into the first awaiting foe in a violent slam the causes it to explode, the line from her sword art struggling to keep up with how abrupt the gap was closed. Simmone whips the weapon off to her left side, turning on her heel and raising her right hand. The soft snap of her fingers makes the sound of metallic manacles being slammed shut, and with it her damage spreads as if the creatures hitpoints were interconnected in some way for a brief instant. A skill all her own given the one on one nature of a rapier. As they languish Simmone moves slowly as to allow the skill stasis to fade. Blade in hand, Raidou pivots and lifts the edge to follow his line of sight. Static jumps from where his hand is placed and leaps down the length and back. As soon as the current is flowing, Raidou turns and drops the weapon like a hammer on an anvil. Catching a nearby slime as it was trying to flee, it sends its body splattering in all directions. The discharge causes him to become a silhouette in a flash of yellow. The light fades, and the wanderer shifts. His weapon raking in the new groove cut into the floor by his blade. It reforms as if nothing had ever transpired, as he raises to stand and enters a stance. "We're not done." Raidou comments to the chamber and his other nearby party members. Truth was spoken. It would be clear she was looking for something, but whatever that may be wouldn't be readily obvious to most, including her. "Oh, dear it seems there are more." The woman quips as the group started to stare her down, the ample distraction coming in right on queue. A foot slides through a pile of bones causing them to shift apart and reveal all manner of coins and odd scraps of metal. Certainly that had found themselves down from the drain overhead during a heavier downpour. She'd continue to scour as explosions and sword arts fired in her proximity, without an ounce of concern or care. Akin to looking for insects in an active warzone her faces changes none despite what is occurring around her. "Again?" the girl quips into open air before she turns and becomes nothing more then a shower of petals. With a jarring snap back into existence with a deep purple hue, her foot comes down from an aerial overarching axe kick. It catches one of the new entities in the shoulder, and sheers clean down its length. This causes it to fold in half like an open book, as she carries that attack all the way to the floor. Clipped into two segments its form becomes unstable and it bursts into an array of tiny droplets. Kasumi turns and disappears again, narrowly avoiding an incoming bladed arm in gelatinous forging. The source of that attack will immediately glow with purple light on its immediate right, followed by an extended foot that causes its head to open like peeled fruit. Bits of bone and metal around his immediate proximity begin to lift and slide across the sewer floor, limply at first but gaining more velocity as time proceeded on. Gaius folds in his legs and leaps toward the ceiling. He had to make sure that he was as far from any living entity because his intent was to start to charge Brionac. The spear starts to scream out a bright and elegant light, gaining energy with each passing second. Gaius would beckon to his team with a wave of hand, making sure they'd keep clear of his surroundings so they wouldn't get a wayward blast or arc from it. The wind starts to cause the chamber to flap angrily as it howls much like wind through a cavern. The slimes start to vibrate and sound like cheeks flapping. Celeste 1 Posted August 23 #16 Share Posted August 23 Standard Recovery +4 EN, Charge CD {2/3} The wind picks up in the chamber as Gaius stuck to the ceiling like some sort of spider. Feet locked to it as if gravity was merely a suggestion, causes a twist of confusion to paint itself across Celeste's face. What an odd method, this has got to be the first time she'd ever seen something so looney toon occur in the game. Although given the giant Razwell she heaved like a simple table, it wasn't that out of the ordinary. Raking her cleaver it catches in a spark of bluish flames, and with little to no warning, the woman zips through the battlefield and dumps the thing into the ground at such a catastrophic explosion, the whole room fills with a scorching maelstrom. Slimes explode or are tossed haphazardly against the walls, her own party members disappearing in the sweltering fire. Yet to them it would provide no burns but instead a warmth. The whole room was a meticulous chaos to which their foes could find no footing. Simmone, as her skill stasis fades allows power to jump the length of her rapier with a quickly drawn twist and flourish to accelerate the process. Without warning her energy depletes, and with a breakneck lunge the cardinal system obliges her intention. Drawing this singular sharp purple line through the air, it buys an impact on an awaiting slime still collecting its mass from the back wall. The writhing mass of green sees a small pinprick that quickly begins to ooze out black, creating this blackened blob inside the transparent green. Like a tumor it expands and as Simmone would pay it a snap of her fingers, it explodes into a dozen sharp points that rip out of its sides like shrapnel. It would become painfully clear that none of their task was over, as more shadows in the dark and sickly slapping sounds eluded to the fact that more were on their way. Raidou shores himself up, the weapon in his right hand falling low as the point migrates toward the floor. A quick spin of the thing allows air to break the sweat on his pam, reaffirming his grip on it as the other members of his party prepared in their own ways. His stamina bar slowly ticking up, it seemed that most of their group was starting to run a bit low. Which would show that for some odd reason these beasts were a little more physically taxing then usual, why though the nomad was not certain. Eyes advance to Nisahime, who seemed completely unfazed or unsurprised at their expression of might. It would appear that old lessons were still yet learned, she did not convey that it was time to talk. But as the sounds of expectation began to play out in the dark, there attentions would shift to seek out the source. A tilt of her head back as they twist and move into battle ready positions, it was clear that they were now taking this somewhat seriously. This allows her the opportunity to return to her pile and seek out her intended target, now that her followers had found the elephant in the room. The swelling chunk of green begins to show off the simple chunk of gelatinous body forming up and taking shape, as if from the wreckage of foes slain. This writhing mass of soup was much grander and much larger then the sum of its components, and it denoted their supposed lord. It even collects a rusted greatsword from a nearby pile, which floats through the bubble of lime and seeks out a point at which it drips out into a newly formed hand. Armor takes shape as platelets and fragments of bone begin to form up into pauldrons and sections of chest padding. This causes her to displace in a flash of purple and appear on the targets flank. A shower of petals broadcasts her disappearance, and at the point she pops into visibility the same. Winding back with both arms, she squats low and from her right hip slams both in a sharp yet fluid extension of both. Martial arts triggers, turning those open palms into burning candles of purple that scream lines through the air. A tectonic boom that can be heard from the street above, sends bits of bone and gelatin in a spray as her hands pierce clean through its armor and dig right through its congealed body. Looking quite like a frozen puddle, its body unfurled and displaced in a wide spray it quivers as its shape struggles to collect itself. Free Action | Heh, doesn't work so into the pocket.
