She'd happened upon the locale through pure accident, her travels to the thirteenth being litlte more than a measure of pacing through the various terrain to see...well, she wasn't entirely sure what she expected to see. What she found, however, wasn't anything that she could call appealing. Even the bar itself - typical in its medevial appearance and welcoming imagery - had appeared little more than a respite for questionable activities. Which begged the question as to why Nymoria - an individual who had rarely entered a bar, taproom, or other drinking establishment in her life - had steppped beyond the doorframe and into the seating area proper. Her eyes had cast about, confirming the location of the barkeep - she was fairly sure that's what they were called - before settling into a seat awkwardly at the main bar. A few seconds of pause, and then she would awkwardly wave to catch the barkeeps attention, before signing her request.

Hello. Nice...establishment. I have never been inside a bar before. But I have heard you offer a respite related to crafting? I would like one, please. And thank you! She never considered the automated voice that the barkeep would likely hear, reminicent - or so she had been told - to the artificial voices that had once been popular among specific online media videos and cellular phones. She waited patiently, shifting almost innocently in her seat as she waited for the item to be brought forth. When it did appear, a look of sudden concern spread across Nymoria's face as she realised, belatedly, that the item was being served in a bar - thus meaning alcoholic beverages were likely. Hesitantly, her hands moving in slow patterns as she spelled out the words, she tried to retain teh measure of polite decorum that she had been taught since her youth. Thank you. This looks...like a drink. A good drink. I think. Will it burn?

She gave a single duck of a bow before grabbing the drink and rushing out of the shop, her face flushing as she realised the idiocracy of her question. She quickly stepped down the street, realising belatedly that she had likely overpaid for the drink, but wanting nothing more than to be away from the embarassment of her first bar experience.

Pinball was in the market for potions. He was fresh out. He needed healing crystals, a few crafter's respites, and most importantly, toxic venoms. He had been out for a while, and he no longer felt like missing out on the extra damage was acceptable. And there was really only one alchemist that he knew, that wouldn't freak out about him suddenly appearing out of thin air in his shop.

"Oz," Pinball greeted. He took a moment to familiarize himself with the shop, and Oz's stock. After a few moments mentally tallying the damage, Pinball began picking out each item that he needed. He spared no expense. It was going to hurt his wallet, but who cares -- he would make it back in no time. There was an old man asking for help on a quest boss, and Pinball felt like he could help him somehow. He'd give a good chunk of these materials to him. Secretly, of course. "Sorry I couldn't swing the materials. I'll pay with them next time."

Back in the sour rumor, Acanthus took another look over the menu. Absinthe had never really been her “thing” in the real world, but if that’s where the damage was, that’s what she’d drink. Besides, it’s not like it was going to get her drunk either way.

“Here’s some materials for you. I found something called “hardened grainflower” on floor one. It’s not listed in any recipes for performance crystals, but I thought you might have some use for them, being a brewer and all.” Withdrawing the materials from her inventory, she set them on the table. “I found about ten bundles on my last trip out, so I thought I’d just go ahead and give you the last bundle as a thanks for the last few quests we’ve been on. Plus, you’ve still got a performance crystal on the house whenever you need one.”

Purchasing Items: Ass-Kicking Absinthe (IDs 229880-1, 229880-2, 229880-3)
(10) materials sent.

Omen pushed through the door and entered the bar. He'd heard rumors of an alchemist who seemed quite active when it came to replenishing his stock. It came as a great surprise to see that it was none other than Oz working the counter.

He nodded a simple greeting. The "potions" seemed to all be different types of liquor. That, at least, wasn't surprising. It was both a blessing and a curse that you couldn't get drunk in SAO. Omen collected a good deal of stock to help him and Circe along on their journeys, transferred the money, and would exit as quietly as he came. Or at least as quietly as he could, being as large as he was.

Omen came back the next day. After some more research, it was clear to him that just one Antidote wasn't going to cut it. If they were going to undertake the Gatekeeper of Fire, the burn inflicted by both the Hellhounds and Cerberus was a serious issue that he'd need to address, if he wanted to get through it alive. What's more is that if he couldn't get through it alive, that almost certainly meant Circe wouldn't make it out either. It wasn't just a selfish reason, either.

He came back and was a bit quicker this time. Same simple nod by way of greeting, same silent payment, same quiet departure. Why shake it up? It was a simple transaction, and unless Oz had something to say to him, he wouldn't be too quick to breaking their silent little arrangement.

"So this is the spot I've been hearing all about," Bahr mused as he swung the door wide, heavy steps carrying him inward and toward the bartop Oz was tending. "Who would have guessed they'd have a rat running the place? Figured the health department might have a problem with that sort of thing."

Bahr let himself behind the counter, perusing the various bottles as Oz stood motionless, his grey orbs affixed steadfast against the glass he was polishing in his hands. Bahr smirked and let loose a huff of amusement, slowly making his way closer and closer to the barkeep with each meandering step. "Nothing to say, loudmouth? What's the matter? You know we're in a safe zone, right?" His fingers slid around the neck of a bottle which had struck his fancy, plucking the vessel from the shelf and inspecting it closely. Upon realizing it wasn't the potion he was looking for, he replaced it and continued his search, slowly moving ever closer to Oz. "Or is it just that you only feel like popping off when you feel like your victims don't know where you work?" He found another bottle. Picked it up, and set this one down on the counter. Then leaned in real close to Oz, who still refused to cast a glance his direction.

"Where you live."

Feeling like he'd made his point, Bahr took a step back and collected the bottle he'd set aside.

"You don't mind if I take these, right? Course not. You owe me for the work I've done for you, after all."

Without another word, Bahr turned to take his leave.
