Omen 0 Posted September 9 #1 Share Posted September 9 (edited) ==== Player Info ==== Username: Omen Real Name: Arthur Barlowe Age: 47 Height: 6'6" Hair: No Beard: Oh yes Eye Color: Hazel === Virtues & Flaws === + Stoic: Arthur takes things as they come, and he doesn't complain. He understands that you can't control the things that life throws at you, but you can control how you react to them. "I ask not for a lighter burden, but for broader shoulders." + Reliable: Arthur is reliable, and knows how to step up when needed. If you need something, he'll get it. If you need help, he'll be the first to volunteer. Arthur is precicely the type of man you want to have in your corner. + Heart of Gold: "Waste no more time arguing what a good man should be. Be one." Having endured and beared witness to half a lifetime of abuse, Arthur has realized that it is much harder to be kind than it is to be cruel. He has dedicated his life to doing right by the people he cares about, and even those he might not. - Stubborn: Once he's set his mind on something, Arthur is a hard one to talk down. This is rarely a good thing. This bullheadedness has gotten him into trouble in the past, and continues to be one of his fatal flaws. - Forceful: Arthur has a forceful personality. He is a man who has complete confidence in himself, and it shows in the way he carries himself. Rather than coming off as arrogant, however, it just makes Arthur seem like the type of person who prefers things done on his terms, or not at all. - Reticent: It's hard to make him talk about himself. While he's more than happy to lend a helping hand to others, he rarely deems it necessary to voice his own personal feelings on any particular thing. This has the unfortunate side effect of making him seem a lot more unapproachable than he actually is. ==== Backstory ==== There's not much to say about Arthur Barlowe. In his youth, he lived fast and dangerously. He came from a broken home - his father imprisoned, his mother practically absent - so he left nearly as soon as he was able to, dropping out of high school in favor of traveling the country and stirring up trouble with a group of friends. During this time, he became intimately familiar with bar room brawls and late night visits to the Emergency Room. But his wild streak ended when he met his wife. From that point on, Arthur was the picture perfect family man. He worked hard to make up for his past mistakes, and even harder to provide his children with the life that he couldn't have growing up. Arthur had always been viewed as tough, intimidating, mean. His kids knew nothing of that. After his oldest chidren started to move out and start families of their own, Arthur took the distance hard, and felt lonelier than he had in a long time. Luckily, a new MMO called SAO-RPG was being released to the public, and it was supposed to be the closest thing to real life other than real life itself. Encouraged by his wife and children, and with a grandchild on the way, Arthur Barlowe entered the death game as Omen. ================= Edited September 10 by Omen
