The sand beneath her stuck limply to one another, painted dark with moisture and cut a grove before being erased. The gentle breeze caused that white hair pure as snow to dance, and the stirring would be the only notable sound. To her right side, a singular stone sat and with it a fragment of the past. It wouldn't be too long now, assuredly so. Through chance, through determination a path walked for nigh a century. Lives lived and lives lost, there was a time that this lake was filled with burning candles that were then swallowed up. "Ex Uno, Multa. Ius sanguinis, rego nuthus" the woman mutters as she pushes a single index into the water. The smallest trail of red, oozed from that point and joined the sea. Starting to set everything that the team needed aside for them to collect. That crimson red robe flutters in the soft winds around him. Soft foot falls in the distance behind him, making it known that the others were starting to show. Right on time, as he pulls his large sword from where it resided. It wouldn’t be long now that the crab would spawn, patience would be had. Watching the others approach, seeing those light pink petals appear and drift to the ground slowly before vanishing. Kasumi had grabbed her things as quickly. The guild has grown so much, there was no words for just how much. These last few weeks had been very busy, between the constant gathering of supplies to the whole wedding thing. Kasumi was super excited but now was not the time to focus on that. It was time to get her head in the game. Leaving little pink petals where she trailed, in the distance the others could be seen. Darting past the two men, swiping her consumables and taking to a large boulder. Kasumi eats, as the candy hits the tongue, she melts just a bit. She would wait for the beast to spawn now. Small clearing of her throat before readjusting her form. It wouldn’t be long now. Concentrating on her breathing, closing her eyes, getting ready for what was to come. Griswold 0 Posted September 24 #4 Share Posted September 24 Leaving his boulder behind, Vulcan was not much for the water environment. It was sorta cold compared to what he was used to. The heat that he works around every day is night and day different from out here near the beach. There were a few things on his mind, one being what he was going to wear to the wedding… He would very possibly need to have something custom made given his size and broadness. Pulling out that hammer and gathering the stuff set aside for him. It was just another day of the same list of things that had to get done. Not sure what the purpose of all of it, but he was along for the ride regardless. The huge shield was pulled out, as he munched on a few things. He would have had to fight with an empty stomach and that would have been good for no one. The kids had made a huge mess before he left the house, felt a bit bad but he had to go and Freya knew that. Running as fast as he could toward the sands that he was frequenting with the party as of late. Eventually he catches up to Griswold, “Hey,” saying as he makes sure his vest wasn’t inside out. “Damn,” it was inside out, took it off and fixed it. Taking out Brionic, it glowed in the early morning light. Go I got it,” saying as he unravels the rope dropping the ladder down. Celeste hopes off the ledge of the ship, sliding down the side of the roped stairs. Landing to the sands with a huff of dust beneath her feet as she lands. Seeing the others watching her, “What you staring at,” as she walks toward the group. The entrance was completely normal for her so why were they still so surprised about the whole ship travel aspect. Deciding that this morning Morrighan would just let them put this creature to rest. Making it more difficult would prove to be inefficient given that the end goal was different today. The crab was just an inconvenient problem and it had to be eradicated before she could follow through with her plans. Wondering if they would notice the difference in strength with the abomination, only time would tell. Getting up from where she sat, dusting herself off. “Good Luck.” turning, giving a coy smile, walking a bit further from the group to watch the action. As of late they seemed to be putting on a pretty good show, growing in astronomical numbers, more than she thought they would in these last few days. Large pincers begin the claw its way out causing a hole that was misshaped to reveal the huge crab. That must be what they were after. A small breath, trying to figure out where the soft spot on the creature would be. Right underneath the shell would expose flesh, as Kasumi darts across the feathered ground, leaving petals where she once was. Slight turn and adjustment of her feet before landing a flurry of blows. It was over before it started, swiftly moving to the other side so that it couldn’t attack her and oh boy did it try. Claws snapping at anything and everything except Kasumi, who was watching from a distance at its sudden rampaged energy. The girl waits for the next advantage before moving in again. It was throwing its arms at nothing, impressive. Pulling his hammer up to his side as he charges in, shield in front of him as his weapon begins to glow bright orange. A glance is had from the crab toward the huge man before getting bashed in the face. It goes flying toward one of the many boulders laying around, causing it to break in pieces around it. Scrambling to its many feet, twirling in circles seemingly trying to figure out where it was and where the giant hulking man was located. Feeling the wind behind him, he knew it was Gaius. He knew that the guys was trying his damned to show that he was fit to marry his daughter but the truth was he didn’t want to see both girls leave the moment they got out of the game. It was starting to get a bit old but he needed to keep trying to get a handle on this weapon. He knew that it was bothering Freya to see him not able to use it efficiently so this was his way of trying to show her that he was trying. He almost expected to have to wait, which gave him such good results. The weapons chimed with energy and he looked down, sliding to a stop just before his opponent. “Really already? Okay,” as he pushes himself with brionac as high as it could manage as a whirl wind forms around him. Glancing down, throwing the weapon as hard as he could so it gained the momentum it needed. Gaius swiftly dives after it, catching it in his two hands before it carves deep within that shell. It belly flops to the ground, as he pulls it out, needing to use a bit of force. Celeste 1 Posted September 24 #11 Share Posted September 24 Celeste sees the opportunity to move in, but what she was not anticipating was the thing to already be on the ground. The dust from the dried sand created mist that was hard to see through, unknowing what to expect, she still goes in for the attack.. Closing the distance, lifting that heavy cleaver over her right shoulder, swinging a hefty amount using all her momentum to do so before hearing, “Hey watch where you're swinging that…” Eyes widen a bit as the cloud dissipates, find Gaius standing on top of the creature glaring down at her. “Maybe you shouldn’t be standing there where weapons are intended to hit the damn thing…” Not able to bring herself to actually say sorry even though she felt slightly bad. Moving away, watching the crab start to collect his footing. It was clear that she would have to pay more attention especially if people were going to be where they shouldn’t. Even though this was something that they had been fighting several times throughout the week, something could still go wrong. Raidou enters in honing in on the massive opponent, drives that ton weighted metal into the softened tissue. Right then he makes eye contact with Gaius who meets his gaze and hops off the shell. In that moment, the nomad carves up with a thunderous strike causing the creature to do a flip backwards onto his back side. It lays there for a good few seconds, the crap was severely cut up from all the attacks that had already been done to it. In the corner of his eye, seeing a few small pink petals falling right in front of him. That was when the wanderer knew that it was over. The wanderer relaxes just a bit knowing that the next task is soon to come, he waits for Kasumi to make the next move. In front of him was a divot from both Gaius’s and his impact. Seeing it do a 180 and land on its back, it was already trying to get up but Kasumi wasn’t going to let that happen. Soft but swift steps, darting effortlessly toward the crab, passing by her team before a quick one two hit against the soft spot of the under belly. Vanishing again, hearing the large enemy burst into millions of tiny shards, it was mixed with the soft falling petals that let the guild know she was there. Getting low, parched on a boulder, keeping watch for anything else that would try to impede this moment of silence. It had been a long day and sleeping wasn’t an option most of the time but she got the rest that was needed to keep going. There were still some things on her to-do list today, this was one of many. It seemed as though they grew tired of fending off the same monster on repeat, it was almost time to make this session more interesting. Soon the door to greatness would open and they would find themselves with a far more challenging task, or maybe not. Only time would tell, but first she would help speed this small endeavor along. Glancing around the sands with no real sight on what was being looked for. The group would find them eventually, walking a few steps toward the water. Morrighan was going to prepare the next area for the group. It was going to be a fun and exciting experience, hoped they were ready. “Nothing over here” she would claim so that they would have no reason to come this way. Go figure these things would find him not the other way around, pulling his spear up as they start to move around like little insects trying to scramble to get away. Everytime Gaius saw these after the crab, they had a different form. Either that or it was just a new spawn of a variety of creatures… He had to stop thinking, confusing himself to wrap his head around the logic that made little to no sense. Regardless, that large metal comes up as she swings wide causing fire to impede every flat surface it could. The flames even hover over the water for a moment before dying out. Any palm tree that was set was now engulfed in flame. It was their fault for being placed where they were. Glancing around there seemed to be a few more in the distance near Raidou. Still was amazed at how he’d grown. That nerd with glasses in school that spoke to no one was now strong enough to kick her ass to hell and back with little effort on his part. Raidou in her book was now a respected man. Sometimes it would freak her out to see him fight but Celeste powers also scared her a bit… Mainly confusion though. Still couldn’t get a handle on them and that teleporting thing was just annoying at best. Slightly turning his head before pulling is blade up and crashing down on them. Lighting shimmies violently against the ground roasting the warms into nothing. The threats were gone for now but the work was still not over yet, if you could even call them that. Maybe his attack was over kill, they still meant harm to the party though. Glancing around now, there had to be more around here somewhere. Pulling his heavy metal from the ground now, watching for any sudden movements in the area. Staying alert, shifting his feet into a defensive position. In the very back of his mind he was thinking about Eruda, leaving her back at the house, thread in hand. Kasumi stayed focused on the outside but on the inside she was freaking out. What was she going to wear to the wedding, what kind of food and sweets were ordered. Being so happy that her best friend and cousin were finally tying the knot. It was almost hard to believe, Raidou had never been the one to get that close to anyone but Eruda kept pushing and now he seemed happy. Curious to know if there was going to be something done outside this place now. This place has changed everyone, everything was going to be different when they got out. Kind of wished that she had what they did, not sure if anyone could ever like her like that or even love her. For now Kasumi would just be happy for them. There was nothing to find, glancing at the others, they couldn’t seem to find anything either. Griswold could feel his strength start to repair itself. Eyes find Nisa’s who was crossing her arms, assumingly waiting like everyone else. Clearing his throat as he walks over to one of the larger rocks, lifting it up, finding nothing up it. Letting it go as it drops to the ground creating a puff of dust to lift around it. Griswold was hating the silence but he was unsure what could be said or done about that. Looking to the waves beside him, remember the camp out they had with the family. That was a rather interesting day, and more days like that would come. Hopefully they wouldn’t be as hostile as that one though. Picking up another rock, where were these things. The things they seek were clear as day, right behind them crawling out of the tides that washed over the sands. “It seems that you need to get your eyes checked, have you looked in the water yet?” Morrighan points toward them. “If it was a snake it would have already eaten you alive…” Seeing the group glance to the ocean before realizing that they were actually there. With that Morrighan turns and starts walking away from the group. “Good luck” calling out behind before snapping her fingers, a staircase appears, the woman smiles. There were people that she had to see, gloves to be got. As much as she wanted to stay and assist, time was of the essence. Making her way down, the walkway collapsed the moment she moved off that step.
