On its outside a small fracture to which would need to be repaired before it would be made functional. At the crest to where an island once stood, its guardian traded for a much larger one. The woman lifts the small device that looked almost like a keychain, casting its backdrop as the clouds above. "Prufor tutela, i' bracchiis meis iterum" Tapping it with her left index finger sees it sway before clasping it in her right palm. Back to the string of faces that would accompany and secure her efforts upon this beach for another time, she'd seek out the room that lingered beneath the sands. Most certainly by now the quest boss had reared its ugly head, or will be shortly. Raidou 1 Posted September 25 #2 Share Posted September 25 Another somber encounter on these beaten shores. What would it be this time? Giant Crab was assured, but soldiers? How about faceless golems like before? The time prior were even more obtuse. The list went on and on, which begged the obvious question of why. Why was this place so relevant to whatever this woman was seeking. The nomad knew better then to pose a question, and simply let her exist. Nameless and allowed to dig out whatever obtuse object she'd sought out before. A hand draws behind his right shoulder, for surely the quests guardian would be back along shortly to interrupt, and they'd have to interrupt his interruption. This process was a little odd, yet seemed to be working out just fine. His weapon torn from its scabbard, he'd adjust his glasses and pinpoint his foe. Jut beyond, falling slightly behind would be the rest of his piecemealed party for today. Celeste 1 Posted September 25 #3 Share Posted September 25 The violent letter of woman, stark red on green would appear visibly through the tree line as she broke the distance between her and the nomad in red. All too often they had found themselves upon this beach, and every time they are responsible for killing the quest mob that kept on popping up. "Why is the quest here?" Celeste would ask the wanderer who'd look back at her. "We keep having to come to this exact spot and every time we do, the fucking crab busts out of the sand and charges us down." The thoughts oozed from her lips as she'd work herself through the problem. Her eyes find themselves drawn down the length of the beach to her left, where most certainly Sand's Claw would spawn from in due time. "You think..." her train of thought screamed as mental workers started throwing all the limited coal they had into the fire. A weighty titan that sunk in due to his sheer mass. He'd done this a few times so far but nearly to the same degree as the others clearly had. "Best not think too hard about it." The smith would offer Celeste as he'd walk by, tapping her on the right shoulder with a gloved hand. He'd played this rodeo before, and he most certainly wasn't the studying type. However he was wise enough to know that there was some information he did not know. Like many of the games mechanics when he first joined. Through time he slowly became accustomed to them, and evidently has a much firmer understanding. Yet he didn't hastily pursue that expertise but slowly glean it over time. Gaius 0 Posted September 25 #5 Share Posted September 25 A gentle wind at his back the guy was just happy to get out of the house. In recent times he'd continued his business ventures, and had since found himself with a new 'waste disposal' in the form of some man that had sought him out. An odd fellow to be sure, but there was quite a bit of chaff from Gaius's cooking processes like making flour that was left behind. This fellow bought it and hauled it away, providing some much needed space within the rolling bite. What he was doing with it, well that really wasn't any of Gaius's problem or concern. The tavern business was booming, mainly because of all the damn time he was stuck in his kitchen. As a result, the mans palette was starting to really bring in the customers and it was a bitch to steal away for a day. 10 customers became 20, and 20 became a 100. Before he knew it the place is packed and he had to start hiring and training help. Before now she'd more then handled her daily commerce, moving to using the rest of her time doing something else. As well as merchant work was relevant, and could be fun lately it had become a bit monotonous given it was becoming harder and harder to make new connections or contacts. Each attempt saw her moving further and further up the floors, and farther from any warp gate. But this was what Firm Anima was founded upon, yet it looked like new prospects were wearing thin. It would be interesting trying to maintain the funding required to complete all the reconstruction efforts or flagship investments into newly founded shops. Supplies were infinite but the ability to harvest them were not. However, Ladonia was moving along and so were the developments in Charko. Raidou had already moved upward to start working on Aridennia by building a framework. She'd look to the group with an sense of joy, one so believable it would be hard to tell if she was serious or not. The party would look at her with exhausted and tired expressions. "Everyone looks so delighted, I must say I can feel your coming excitement. Well your in luck..." Gaius didn't really care, and unlike the others he actually was looking forward to the stress relief. There was an easy simplicity in just smacking shit, a lot less ledger work or logistics. Both of which Gaius did not excel at. This however... The dragoon springs upward, drawing a small circle in the sand from his jumping point. The wind pressure carries him straight up with a surprising weightlessness, and held aloft there he'd twirl up and back the spear Brionac, behind his right shoulder. The process he'd normally take starts to see his energy trickle away, as he'd pour his power into it. When suddenly it surges bright and it would appear that his excitement was reflected by the thing. A smile creeps itself across his lips, and within that moment he twists. <<Star Driver!>> the man screams in a joyous decree. A vorpal tear of his arm down, would see that weapon released. A vibrant arch of green would nearly blot out the sky, and like an arrow it takes a pinpoint trajectory. In an instant, the sound barrier is broken and the weapon virtually warps to its target. Leaving the faint trace of lime green straight to Gaius like a thin fishing line with rings of building sizes. It sheers clean through his target like butter, sending bits of shell straight up from its back as the polearm goes right through into the sand below. The detonation comes as soon as it stops, a flare of nigh divine paints the whole place that same hue. Eyes blink as they are robbed of clarity, sound becomes nothing more then a muffled hum followed by a ringing. The sheer force of the strike sends the creature into the start of its death spiral. Its health is cut in half, its strength decimated in such a breakneck pace that even the cardinal system would find itself with whiplash. The gentle thud of Gaius landing back upon the beach, earnestly surprised at his efficiency lately. Something had clearly changed, yet his ego wouldn't inflate as a result. A muddied mixture of ferocity and fervor its washed in cardinal as the woman springs haphazardly into combat, a solid slam of the weapon would see it explode into flames that lick away at the carapace. This sends a scattering of the shell like shrapnel as the color waves clean through and tears more of its remaining HP away in an instant. Not quite to the same caliber yet the tenacity was even more in spades. Gritting her teeth in a focused fury, the woman carries through and slides past her target, the weight of the blade carrying her a full half turn as the flames flicker out. Her hair scatters angrily on the breeze that follows the strike, and a flare on her eyes disperses. The damage was done, and with her break into the fray more would soon follow. The blood raven had started its spiral as the wolves would circle. Despite her early confusion the red head had absolutely no pause in storming into the fray, a fact that Griswold could respect. Not the thinking type, more a person of action over mixed words. He lacked their speed but could match the girls power. A slam of his hammer as he'd release it, the sheer potency of the blow sees it continue to fly with the chain extending. The man would clasp it, and slink the chain around two legs and pull it tout. The goal? To lock it down with now a good portion of its mobility now robbed from it. A flex would see his skin press up against the interior of his armor, his feet dig deep into the sand to help root him into place. It would become clear to his allies his intention, hoisting that chain in both hands and wrapping it twice around both arms. What was all this muscle good for otherwise? Simmone 0 Posted September 26 #11 Share Posted September 26 A thin slip of the small rapier on her right hip, held limply in her left as she'd sigh in an exhaustion filled expression. Inhaling and exhaling, it would appear that again they were back to this constant charade of beating the hell out of whatever random thing popped up out of the woodwork, angry and threatened given they'd wandered into its territory. Despite all of their best efforts to understand the woman they still knew so very little. It was always her popping up some odd room, random structure or worming around in some old pile of garbage like she knew where she was going. Those same places being either ignored or hadn't seemed to even exist until her arrival. This train of thought is broken as the woman makes impact, snapping her back to reality in an instant. A tap of heels in the beach and a snap of her fingers would cement her damage into her foe. A nasty chunk of black shrivels up and falls off. "I still don't know what your plans are, and I am not entirely sure I trust your motives." He'd adjust the glasses on his nose, allowing her near derogatory patronizing to fall flat. A sharp rip of his weapon would see it revealed in an arch of gilded gold, as the metal rung out with a color akin to that of daylight. Turning his body to put his sword arm forward, he'd raise it toward the heavens. As if calling that storm, clouds bloomed overhead as he triggered the <<Forgotten King's Authority>> and pulled a bolt of lightning from them in a sharp cast. They latched to the blade, ringing violently and jumping down and back. Charged by the tide, the swordsman blinks as <<Charge>> and <<Nimble>> fire off in tandem. The lack of weight and the sudden surge of speed closes that gap between him and his foe so readily that its as if space itself folds. The impact rings out and sends a scattering of energy in forks that use legs as lightning rods. The bits that find no target collide with the sand turning it to glass and disperse. It was seizing under lightning, coughing out black ichor and being restrained by the smith. The woman twists and her eyes dart up, a trail of blue would see her blink up shortly after a pale mirage of her like glass projects where she'd appear. From above she comes down with the cleaver as the titan tries to rise, and the following clap of thunder would send it into the sand with such force that a cloud would rise from the sheer torque. Her cleaver dangling halfway out of its body, as its claws limply clamber for its handle trying to remove it. Lodged near its right eye, the blade buried deep as the woman lands. Both hands clasp to the smiths chains, and her eyes would spark in a vibrant red. "Put your back into it." The woman goads as she pulls with every ounce that she had, and the chain would become extremely tight. Digging into the shell and cutting deep into the white flesh beneath it. The man was strong but apparently stronger then he looked. With the added force of Celeste offering her own physique to the mix they were more then potent enough to rip half of it off. Counting his blessings that the chain was of a much stronger material then most, he'd coil it up around his right wrist in a wrapping motion. The creature wobbles limply with two of its legs missing as it struggles to keep upright, slamming into a nearby tree before languishing. Within a few moments it would explode into data, leaving the cleaver stuck in its head to clatter to the floor. Griswold twists his head to the left and right, making a couple pops escape his armor. The man looks to Celeste "Your a lot stronger then you look." to which she would fire back a smile. One that he couldn't help but reflect beneath his helmet. The quiet waves of the shore, the simple serenity that was interrupted prior that they had once enjoyed or at least tried to. Moreover the curious fact, the white haired woman was missing. Her eyes would lock to her companions and this is the point where they would start to fan out. Again she'd somehow given them the slip, and the whole point of this endeavor was to keep tabs on her movements and try to watch her do whatever the fuck she was doing. It was hard to make out any notable feature or obvious entry, it was as if she vanished cleanly into open air. "The hell did she go?" "Beats me." The man would offer the black cat as he'd spin the weapon in earnest then it would vanish in a spark of white light. A fact that he'd yet to share was a sudden change after her little show and tell lesson from the last time he'd been here. His left hand would move to his eyes, pressing it across his brow to provide a visor to which to peer under. Should it surprise them at all that she just disappeared, wasn't that sort of in her methodology at this point? As far as Gaius knew that was the problem they were having no matter what floor she was on, and whose to say she's even still on this floor at all. Despite his lack of belief she was even anywhere close to where they could see her, he'd humor the woman who posed the question and continue to beat feet around the beach in feigned pursuit. It glowed in a soft cyan that was akin to that of the glow of a campfire. A simple wrought iron fence would provide a barrier to prevent falling into that water, but only loosely if you were quite persistent. Morrighan however would seek the center passed this walkway, a square chamber with a single feature: A port hole centered inside that square. As the woman approaches the basin and leans forward her hair cascading off her shoulder and finding itself halted upon the rim. "Aer, can you hear me?" Her voice echoes off the walls, and yet in this chamber there were none. Just an endless expanse of darkness past the cyan pool of liquid. Sliding it into place, it seems to vanish behind the collar on his robe. "Fan out. Find her" Raidou remarks in an almost militaristic code, activating tracking to confirm her location. The view confirms her presence and the man compares his map coordinate as he walks. A singular spot near the north side of the beach, yet oddly it would show simply where she was not. It was as if the woman was standing right in front of him yet he could not view her. "Must be some trick." the man would remark beneath his breath, still trying to apply rationality based on what he had come to expect from the game. He knew of untraceable, perhaps this woman had some version that allowed her to spoof her signal. It was a concept he'd been trying to confirm for some time. He didn't want to allow her to escape so she could remain under near constant surveillance. At least until he could confirm she wasn't a danger to the general population. Another grumble as she finds her way to her weapon and hoists it onto her right shoulder, dragging her feet at the sheer notion of having to play bloodhound to this broad. Hoofs hoof it across the turf, as she pretends to look around. This wasn't her strong suit and the odds were she wasn't going to spot her before anyone else did anyway so why even try? The crunch of the sand like snow as she moves to the far end opposite the others, scanning the tree line and picking up rocks. "I got nothing." Raidou seemed fixated, and she'd take note of it. As she does smaller crabs begin to worm themselves out near her feet. "Seriously?" She'd just look down at the pathetic raking against her heeled boots. They couldn't even break the leather on them. A light flick of her foot sees it topple backward and its little legs wiggle. They all appeared just like Sand's Claw yet were nothing more then the tiniest percent of the creatures size. She'd look to her party "You think we should just delete them, who knows how fast they will grow?" The raven haired broad seeks guidance from the rest of her party. Those players would begin to set upon them, taking an earnest interest in the creatures that she'd stumbled upon. Rapier in hand, she'd contemplate her next actions based on theirs.
