Astra 0 Posted February 9 #101 Share Posted February 9 (edited) "Bliss!" Astra called out while they hurtled through the air, landing roughly into the sand below. Astra skidded along for a bit before rolling to a halt in the sand. Oof. Getting thrown in the air and into the sand was not on my Bingo card for the beach party. He stood up and looked around at his beach companions, Bliss and Cobean. It seemed as though they were up and wielding weapons, ready to confront the new mobs that had spawned into this beach party. This day just started to get stranger by the second. So much for relaxation. Astra made his way over to the weapons rack and assessed the choices. Spears, axes, and hammers. None of these weapons were necessarily his style, as he preferred to wield swords, but it looks as though he had no choice. Astra picked up both a spear and an axe, and equipped himself promptly. He ran down the beach back towards the water, towards the hulking water elemental, <<Summer Wave>>. Around the elemental were some smaller crab enemies, seemingly protecting their master. With a dash Astra soon found himself within attacking range of the mobs before him. It looked as though others had already begun to launch their attacks, so Astra knew it was his time to do the same. Astra readied his spear and turned on his heels, while his spear followed along, performing a sweeping slash against the water elemental and two crabs. Astra's slash against the <<Summer Wave>> seemingly went right through its liquid form, leaving no sign of any damage. On top of that, his slash went just over the two crabs he was also trying to hit with the AOE attack. Dammit! He was frustrated with his misses and wasted attack, but he shouldn't be surprised as spears weren't generally his forte. *** Attack 2 on Summer Wave: ID: 240661 | BD: 4 | DMG: 0 Attack 2 on Crab 1: ID: 240662 | BD: 1 | DMG: 0 Attack 2 on Crab 2: ID: 240663 | BD: 4 | DMG: 0 Edited February 9 by Astra
Zandra 0 Posted February 10 Author #102 Share Posted February 10 (edited) The group that was chilling and enjoying a relaxing time in the sun just a minute ago, was now splitting up to fight some beasts that had appeared on a place that should be free of that. Down at the beach, a girl swung her axe towards the three crabs that had arrived together with the mighty water creature that called himself the wave. Two of the crabs got knocked away, with a spear just centimeters from hitting them. They splashed into the water, never to return. There was still one crab that with a small clicks in the air rushed towards the girl, with revenge in its eyes. As the Waves saw what happened, he also spotted two failed attempts at wounding him. Let out a splashing sound, sound like he was laguhing. Meanwhile the crab had reached the girl snapped one of her legs with its claws. As the brave warriors had engaged the warriors, waves of water was splashing them again and again. On the other side, a trio of players have engaged with another group of beasts. The big mossman that had constructed itself was suddenly pierced thru the chest by a spearwielding female. One of the boars saw her and immediatly rushed forward, aiming at her legs but it never reached its target as it slipped. When it had rised up on its feets, the oppotyinty to attack had already passed. Another couple of attacks stroke grassy monster that let out a scream, sounding like broken sticks. Right after a hammer had stroke him, he lifted his arm where the hand reshaped into a hammerhead. He had both of his yellow tiny eyes as the soft hammerhead fell down right on Acanthus. Moss may be soft, but this was packed and just the amount of it, deal hit on the girl, helathbar quikly shrinking. Just a moment later one of the boars tackled into her as well. As the mossman took a step back, the players could all of his limbs was thinner then before and in those tiny yellow eyes, filled with a look of pain, anger and confusion. Why was they doing this to him he thougth. What had he done? Had he done anything to them? Why? What? Had he? Colette 0 Posted February 10 #103 Share Posted February 10 (edited) Not too long after Colette's attack, the Crab that managed to not perish after landing began making its way over to her. Colette noticed how everyone else on the beach side of the battle all failed to damage the ocean elemental. ...Seriously? How? Why? Colette had no intention of doing all the work...and yet, it was starting to look like, on the beach side of the battle, that she was having to do everything herself. The big ocean elemental made what must have been some kind of laugh, and waves of water began crashing over the players repeatedly. The waters left a sheen upon her exposed midriff and thighs, not that Colette was paying attention to that as of the moment, just that it felt like the waves were practically tugging at her. Furthermore, she felt an uncomfortable tingling at her leg. She looked to see that one of the crabs had survived her attack and was snapping its claws at her. Colette growled, and attempted to swing her axe at it. While she failed to reach the crab with her Crescent Cleave, both her movement and the attack's momentum seemed to be enough to make a damaging impact on the water elemental. "Argh, just- Get off me!" At this point the crab may as well be holding on for dear life as the leg it had snapped onto was now dragging it all over the waves and shore. Perhaps it would need a moment to get its bearings before making any further action...but first it will either have to let go, or be forced off by Colette's axe. Acanthus 0 Posted February 14 #104 Share Posted February 14 (edited) With a hammer that was somehow soft and firm, the pile of moss pummeled Acanthus into the ground. She was half-expecting the game to throw up some comical birds to fly around her concussed head. And she felt… weaker? Her health bar was still full, but she had the vague sense that she probably shouldn’t get hit too much more. Probably just her imagination, but it was good practice for a real fight. Pulling her ankles up out of the earth, she focused on the pile of moss again. “Hammer against hammer time,” she said, before whirling the weapon over her head. She aimed for some of the firmer sections of the beast, hoping to chip away at its form. Paralysis hadn’t done its job. Maybe freezing the pile of earth would work? She swung the hammer attempting to conjure its cold attack, hoping for the best. Her attacked connected, and frost formed on the creature. But she couldn't tell yet if it had worked. Cobean 0 Posted February 15 #105 Share Posted February 15 (edited) Cobean pulled his spear out as others failed to damage the monster. Cobean then looked in shock as the pinkette girl he spoke with earlier raised a huge axe and sent the crabs flying. What an incredible stat allotment this girl must have had... Cobean looked back to his opponent, who he'd failed to do anything to so far. It seemed to laugh, then waves came upon the players in the beach Vicinity. Cobean tried to shake off the water when the waves receded enough, but he ended up losing his jacket instead. Not that he paid much attention to that sort of thing, but if he was to get a good hit, some people might appreciate the sight of his effort. But alas, despite Cobean attempting a different approach, his Piercing Thrust did nothing when aimed at the creature's head. "How am I supposed to damage this thing?" He muttered to himself worriedly. ID# 240997 BD: 2(miss) Edited February 15 by Cobean
Eliseris 0 Posted February 15 #106 Share Posted February 15 (edited) Eliseris looked to see one of the players jumping in to help out. "I don't mind at all. The sooner we take them down, the better." She responded. A Blonde also entered the fray, but she may have been less accustomed to her weapon than Eliseris was with hers. It wasn't long before the moss monster known as Summer Quake was already low on health, so Eliseris decided she might want to take down some of those nuisances before they begin racking up damage against the players. She evaluated her options quickly, then made her decision. "I'm going to engage the boars, to see if I can't get them off our backs." She called out to Acanthus. Unfortunately for Eliseris, these boars must have been on the more experienced side, for the boar she attempted to attack simply parried her spear by using its tusks. Eliseris needed to find out how to catch these swine off guard if she wanted to avoid her attacks being deflected like this. Astra 0 Posted February 16 #107 Share Posted February 16 (edited) Astra couldn't tell if he was losing his mind due to being in the sun too long, or if he actually heard the water monster laugh at everyone who missed their attacks. Is it...Is this thing mocking us? The last thing Astra needed right now was to be chided by an oversized wave that interrupted the supposedly relaxing day at the beach. He felt his ears start to get a bit hot, and frustration set in. "Alright, let's try this again," he said readying his spear. The now-frustrated Astra rushed back towards the Summer Wave, splashing through the water as he made his way closer. Trying to run through water was never easy, but he pushed his legs as hard as they could go. As he got closer to the monster he raised his spear once more, and brought it down against the wave in a slashing motion. However, just like his last attack, it seemingly went right through the water elemental. "Again? Oh man. Could I get a sword?" It was probably going to be a little while before this thing was taken down, and probably a little while before Astra got back to relaxing and socializing. This turned into quite the event! *** Post Action: Attack 3 on Summer Wave ID: 241149 | BD: 2 | Miss! Edited February 16 by Astra
