[PP-F01] The Quite and the Brave.

Recommended Posts

It was just another day in the death game where Etherial decided to take a little trip outside of the gates of the Town of Beginnings. She wanted to get away from all the crowded areas and be in a more peaceful environment. The nice thing is it was a beautiful breezy day on the first floor of the game. Birds are out playing in the puddle and squires are searching for acorns but the one thing that was off was a figure sitting under a tree.

Walking up to the tree though; Etherial looked at the mysterious person. What looks like a man around her age dressed up like a Pirate laying under the tree she notice something different about him from everyone else. He was a orange player. Although that's the case he doesn't seem to be hostile or at least she doesn't find him hostile.

"Hey, why are you out here by yourself? Wouldn't you like to be inside the city with friends?"

Her words echo through the winds as she nervously walk closer to the man.

Sitting under one of the trees near the beginning city, one leg out the other crunched up. A small book, very uninteresting but from what he saw from the NPC the other day Lium had to get a better knowledge on how they were supposed to act. Words that they usually said. Things were changing around here and for the life of him couldn't figure why or how all of it was connected. A shadow of a figure was moving closer in his right most peripheral vision. Hand stops flipping through pages a waits for them to get closer. Nothing happens other than words being spoken to him. Good they were not something or someone that wanted to kill him. Glancing up, it was a girl, long white hair. It wasn't the woman that frequented Firm Anima as of late, the voice was all wrong too.

"Those friends are on a different floor, and those friends," pointing to the guards that were manning the gates of the Town of Beginnings "Would see my head on a platter if I got too close." Folding his book, he would have to continue this later. "Besides, the view is rather nice down here," not speaking that most his days consisted of being up in an air ship. Where he was looking now was the forest, "If you watch the trees over there, every now again you'll see a boar or two pop up from seemingly nowhere. That means that a player has killed a beast else where and this is there spawn point." It might of been boring for most but Lium just found it fascinating.

It was quite interesting to hear how much people rather see this man dead. After all he seem... Quite nice actually. It wasn't much time before they actually started to have a conversation. And what better than to start off with the beauty of the nature. Which Etherial had to agree with. It was quite nice on floor one.

"I find it fascinating how a game can mock something like this. Each floor seems so real. Although I haven't been to the higher floors the one's I've been at has been... interesting to say the lease."

It was quite interesting to see how the man changes the subject by adding in the next topic while talking about the previous topic. He pointed out at the boars that would spawn in. And the fact that there are still players down here grinding away at boars is what's even fascinating for her.

"So what did you do get become an orange player if you don't mind me asking?"

Etherial was quite curious. Usually people point out that Orange players are bad people that murdered someone. He doesn't seem to have any intentions to attack her. Which made her feel little more at ease with him.

"It's not as real as you may think it to be. I have found several trees and other objects laying on different floors that have been glitched out. Almost see through, like they didn't quite get made with everything else." Letting his other leg fall with a small puff of dirt. Getting into his coat, pulling out a small bag of Honey Buns he snagged from the guild hall. Taking a bite when the question was popped. The question that everyone seemed to want to know, what makes the person with the orange icon different from the rest of the players in Aincrad. At least it was being asked, most people would just flee at the sight.

"In one of the last few floor raids, I stole a ship with a friend. It was the only way I was getting out of there alive." Taking another bite, it was one hell of a day. Being shot at from every which way direction. They were lucky to get out when they did. "You are asking a lot of questions, my turn." Another bite as he thinks. "Why are you out here alone? You don't seem like a fighter, you have no armor that I can tell. You know outside the wall even being on floor one is dangerous." Pondering why, "And you can't tell me its because you saw me and wanted to chat..." adding on cause to be honest he didn't think he was that interesting.
