Background
Eulogy was raised by video games. He understands them deeply—the rules, the goals, the conflict. People are complicated, people have feelings. But not video games. And not 3ulogy.

His parents tried to raise him. But frankly, they weren’t very good at it. Eulogy’s mom was too weak-willed to impose any real punishments for his behavior, and his father’s hand was so stern that punishment became the norm. Rather than teaching him to avoid antisocial behavior, it taught him how to hide it. So Eulogy practiced, and practiced, and practiced; his grades rose, his friends multiplied, and his parents eventually decided that they had done the impossible by taming Eulogy. But nothing could have been further from the truth. Eulogy lived out many of his fantasies through whatever game he could get his hands on. His parent’s watchful eye made it difficult to escape, but his sister would often cover for him, allowing him to momentarily escape and be himself.

When Eulogy first heard about a VRMMO, he could barely contain his excitement. A world where nothing was real was a world where he could finally be himself. But his parents forbade him from the game. With a few charming smiles, Eulogy managed to convince a friend to let him borrow the game for just the first week of release. He had no intention of returning it, of course—but then, the game did something he could only have dreamed of: it trapped him.

No, he wasn’t trapped. He was finally free.

Virtues
Improvisational. Eulogy is always prepared to never be prepared. He thrives in the chaos, knowing that he has an edge when no one else has a plan. Eulogy is never phased when another monster shows up, or the boss lands a critical hit.
Experienced. Although a mere sixteen, Eulogy spent his life learning lessons from video games. As time wore on and his family grew distant, Eulogy looked to games to distract him from reality. In many ways, he feels more comfortable in the game than he ever did in life.
Gregarious. Eulogy may be unempathetic, but he’s spent a long time learning what empathy looks like. He learned quickly that most problems could be avoided with a well-programmed smile. The eyes were the hardest part to get right; Eulogy practiced in the mirror every day for years to dial the cheerfulness down. Although Eulogy is indifferent to company, he does enjoy it at times; to him, blending in is its own reward.

Flaws
Reckless. Eulogy’s confidence is his weakness. His abilities in video games, combined with his improvisational ideology, means that he’s willing to get up to some particularly stupid behavior. Because Aincrad is nothing more than a videogame, he is more than happy to treat it as such.
Cold. To Eulogy, empathy was not an innate skill, but a craft he was forced to hone for years. When confronted with his basic thoughts, he has little regard for the plight of other people beyond their impact to his bottom line.
Subservient. Eulogy taught himself to fly under the radar. Part of these lessons involved rolling over at the slightest confrontation; people paid less attention to a dog with his belly laid bare. Short of inconveniencing his own goals (and sometimes even then, with a good enough reason), Eulogy is willing to do anything for anyone.
