Still stagnant in its appearance, despite frequent encounters upon its surface. To most this was the view it would always provide, but to the woman it couldn't be more off. Her memory recalled stone titans, and motes of elemental energy. Stampeding living columns and patches of herbs. It had been so long since, yet that memory was ever vivid. "In time..." The woman murmurs as she'd look to the waves climbing itself up her heeled leather. The deep blood red robe of her past lingered on her mind, before duty removed her from such pleasantries. Another lifetime long before this place racked her brain, and she'd look to her left. Senses convey that she was not alone anymore. Her frequent flying invaders had helped themselves back to voyeurisms. Morrighan was a specimen that they could not apply logic to, even still they clung to the name they'd view on screens within her proximity. Raidou 1 Posted October 5 #2 Share Posted October 5 A sharp contrasting figure standing but feet from the shore. The sense of familiarity would cling to him like glue. They were back into this little rodeo, this charade where she would stare off into the water and then about face and greet them as if they had some previous discussion prior. But that charade was nothing more then just that. How long would they keep this up? How long would they be able to keep this up? The woman never seemed to tire, or stop. They have been to all manner of places, rushing headlong into whatever zany obtuse place she'd muster herself into next. Despite that fact, they still were only offered information truly in piecemeal underhanded dismissals. No matter how much they pried or observed, she was just so magnificently odd. Even still the swordsman had little choice, and moreover the others that followed in his shadow were more then needed. The girl would look on and out into the sand, following limply behind her cousin. That same somber sense of familiarity was met with the wanderers clear irritation. Kasumi had come to expect her kin to be troubled by the things he couldn't readily grasp, and despite his best efforts this woman was a puzzle he just couldn't seem to solve. No matter their journey, the next place they'd visit would always seem to be stranger then the last. Couple that with her inability to remain put, her near fluidity on her current position. This woman was a logistical maze for the operations and intel division. Nisahime, the walking player that for some reason they had taken such a dramatic interest in. She'd fought tooth and nail in the sewers, a dragon in the labyrinth and numerous beasts and crustaceans as of late. The sliver lining about having some fresh air and a change of pace was starting to grow tarnished. What was new and fresh had become stale and faded. Now when Raidou mentioned that he had found the woman again, it was with great reluctance that the black lotus would oblige and offer her aid. Mainly because she's seen what the woman was capable of dredging up, and silently she knew that if the nomad had no aid he would attempt to shadow her alone. Which would not be ideal. So her options were very limited, and the crunch of sand in repeated rhythm prove her choice was made. This was a readily accepted break from the constant back and forth in the rolling bite. The tavern to which he lived and worked out of. A booming business that had done a fair job of killing his free time, and it was due to the guild that he was able to find some hired help. Gaius didn't want to get rusty, and these little forays always seemed to lead to a fight or two. A manner of strange places, dangerous places. They were overlooking the bigger picture. If they hadn't been following her as closely as they had, Gaius was convinced that they would have never even had the chance to witness these locations. His blessings counted, he'd look to the woman with a grin. Celeste again finds herself permeating the sand of the giant crab...thing that the guild so desperately seemed to seek out and slay nearly daily. All for the sake of this strange broad, and in the back of her mind she had contemplated a couple times just gagging the bitch and shoving her in a cellar somewhere. Gaius remarks pushing his hand to his sternum and plucking free the sharp green rod that manifests into his weapon: Brionac, the spear of the gods. A turn of his hand and a twirl of it, sees his movements become much more fluid and graceful. A swipe of a leg as it cleaves through clean, like a propeller it reverberates around his body. Another turn and it rears back the other way, cutting away at its opponent like a hot razor. The crab rips back away as the white steaming hot mess escapes the furious red head. "Why do you keep bouncing around so much?" Celeste joins into the conversation like a bull in a china shop. Like the others, she wanted to claim the first real opportunity they had ever been offered. Lifting her cleaver up as an attack rushes for her waist. "I have a lot to do, and how many chores do you do in the exact same space? Same thing." That answer again didn't solve much. Celeste turns to look at her and Sand's claw would force its way past the defense she had put up. "Hmm, guess that you'll need to put your back into it. Yamate the kids say these days." Her heel becomes engulfed in a sharp yet gentle soft pink color which causes her to lunge. Like a loaded gun, it rips in front of her and carries her clean into her opponent, landing the blade of her right foot into the creatures head. Dazed it wobbles and stumbles back, lifting its claws in an instinctual show of disapproval. Kasumi lands in the sand, and desperate to curb her cousins obsessive fixation she would join the line of questioning: "Who are you really? What are your motives?" a quick one two punch of inquiry to which the woman would happily grin and offer her reply without pause. "I am Morrighan, I am Nisahime. It is just a question of when. My motives are to see everyone out of this farce and return back to your lives." The answers she is given would be eerily reflected on nearly any other player within Aincrad, but Kasumi gets the sense there is more beneath the surface. However an open and extending claw about to snatch up her ankles sees her leap airborne. A glint of amethyst breathes to life upon its point, drawing itself down its edge until it reaches the pommel. "Promise?" The woman would goad in her spite, a sarcastic tinge to her tone. "Too good of an opportunity to pass up, so I'll bite." A pair of jabs in quick succession, punching clean into the crabs carapace with each thrust. A pirouette between them. Black ichor oozes from the wound, and a click of her fingers will see it take hold. Sand's claw sustains some considerable damage, causing it to recoil further from the bunch. "If your motives are aligned with ours, then why the secrecy?" as good of a question as any, and it was the major one that stuck in her mind. "Who said anything about secrecy? Raidou analyzed what might have changed, taking his best educated guess with a vocal acknowledgement: "You wanted us to be too tired to refute your claims." He'd adjust his lenses as the woman would pay him a brimming grin, with happiness that could easily be mistaken for genuine. "Exactly, you get a gold star." she'd lightly push a sticker onto his shoulder which would immediately fall from it given it could not stick well. Flimsily it falls like a leaf from a tree. "Your just like us, yet you don't follow the same ruleset." He'd continue putting her answers to memory as she'd pay a judgmentally slow nod, her eyebrows raising. "Come on your so close to getting it." At which point the titanic crustacean would cut into the conversation, cutting it shorter then the nomad would have liked. A turn of his handle will see static rush down its length, surging with electricity. His body turns 180 degrees, putting his back to his foe as a wide overhead arch and a pivot back would see the gravity of the blow increase in magnitudes. Constantly forced to retreat as they continued to try and multitask and steal some answers in addition to their given aid. "What was that? I didn't catch that last bit..." The woman would cup an open hand to her right ear as Celeste again fumbles ass over tea kettle from an heavy claw striking her cleaver. "I think you'll need to speak up, annunciate properly." A change in posture as she'd place her hands on her hips, and look on at them all. The crab working excellently on the part of defense, seeming to ignore the woman altogether for some reason. "This is fun, isn't this delightful. Such a wonderful little game." her smile returns as she'd goad them to try harder. Celeste 1 Posted October 5 #15 Share Posted October 5 Standard Recovery +4 EN Rounding back toward the cretin, Celeste drives her cleaver into a front right leg. This cleaves it clean off sending it spiraling through the air from the force alone. It manages up about five or so feet before it explodes into star like shrapnel. The crab would wobble trying to course correct given that it had lost some of its balance. Another high pitched chirp would overtake Celeste's blade again, and with a turn she'd drop to a kneel before offering another destructive swipe upwards. A sharp tear slices through the creatures undercarriage and sends a smattering of crab shell, leaving a screaming red scar upon it. The little bars it sports find itself ripped away rather rapidly. As to the questioning, Celeste couldn't really bring herself to stomach the thought, again a fighter not a thinker. She'd leave that shtick to the more brainy in their bunch, and stick to interference and trying to buy them the time to do so. A high pitched sound accompanies it and once it becomes stationary that loaded gun would fire. Her leg snaps out to her right side, as she bends in counter to it. Her extended foot slams at a fourty-five degree angle into the creatures face region, causing hairline cracks to begin and start to create fissures along its natural armor. It stumbles, seeking to put weight on a leg that is clipped off by Celeste nearly in tandem. The striking pairing of the two girls sees it flop to its side, and within a minute of it dropping it simply would languish. Its little bars empty out fully, fuzzy and disappear. Seconds after a pop would send digital confetti up into the clear blue sky. Their foe had fallen, proving their lethality and coordination. Kasumi would look and begin to speak to the woman but would receive only a finger placed to her lips. "Now now, that is against the rules of the game." After all, they have done this who knew how many times up to this point. It would be an understatement to claim that they were well versed and experienced in how this quest worked at this point. He knew the strategy she was intending to employ, and would use it as well. But as her and the rest of their given party would start to scatter, looking for the small and insignificant creatures that would provide them 'combat' albeit the most pathetic and paltry sort Raidou would keep an eye peeled on the white haired woman. He would appear as though he was searching, yet he couldn't help his distraction. On his peripheral that woman would remain, and every so often he'd lock eyes with her and she almost always seemed to be staring back at him. It was almost creepy, she acted kind of like a cardinal entity in their way of knowing what was targeting them at any given time. This was half the reason that stealth didn't work as well as many would hope. Monsters couldn't always see you, but they knew when they were being targeted regardless. Celeste would bark as she'd rush past Nisahime and scamper up to the nomads feet, stepping on one she'd drop her cleaver upon another. It was the most elegant showing of excessive force. These poor things had nowhere near enough health combined to deal with a single swing from her and yet she just needed the outlet. The tiny muted pops of what was akin to shooting fish in a barrel, Celeste wouldn't admit that hitting them made her feel leagues better about the situation. All this diplomacy, and conversation had left the red head chaffed. Slowing dragging her weapon out of the sand, the other 4 started to flee as quick as their tiny little 3 inch legs could carry them. The game really had a way of bringing on the strangest encounters, and this was one of them. Glorified overkill of the worlds most tiny creatures.
