However still, this proved that they would need to handle this batch before they could progress. "I think I see a spot you all missed." She'd goad with an extended left arm, offering a point to where the wiggling lay. A curious little form of stasis, these little prying eyes provided. A brief distraction to slow them down if nothing else. This would be the point where Morrighan would leave them to it, moving hastily for the point at which she could dive into the Abyss. A space would surely be found rather quickly, but all she would muster is clearing the space that she'd need. For the breach into the underbelly upon an entirely different floor. She just hoped that this little gaggle following her today would not underestimate its occupants. The daylight causing them to become mirrors as it bounces off, shielding his eyes from view. A blazing rip of his weapon clean from its scabbard would see it gleam in a gold colored flash, as the solarite blade screams out in rebuttal. A turn on his heel sees him twist into a runners pose, kneeling low and allowing his speed based skills to carry him toward his opponent quite readily. This would cause his blade to surge in a blue outline, becoming ripe with system bestowed power as he'd cut the small rising creatures to pieces with a single decisive strike. As she'd find her way into the newly formed group she'd manage to catch the most abysmally paltry batch of foes greeting her. A thought races through her head: this is it? expecting quite a bit more for such a surrounding. Why she expected more when the main foe had been slain eluded her. A turn of her feet would see a sweeping kick that would drag along the creatures and send them all spiraling through the air. Like a chain of popped poppers, they would rain down like confetti and explode upon the sand one after another. A drag of her heel near her other, she'd raise back up from her knelt position and lift that foot to dust it off. A confirmation that she'd slipped to an entirely different floor, and with this acknowledgement Raidou was the first to begin to move. They would have to use the forms of transit privy to players unlike she did, and the nomads coordinate data was too fuzzy to do a quick jump. As fast as they had arrived, they would seek out the warp plaza in the primary settlement and quickly leap down at Raidou's behest. Floor 23 was the target set. Shiina being the third to hop up and issue the command would see a flash of blue. A short jaunt and 15 minutes, they'd discover her right in the middle of the trolls den. It immediately is antagonized by the new arrivals, yet seemed unperturbed by the first. A wave gravity slides out of Shiina and would spark her parties potency in an instant. "Thank you all for arriving so readily." She'd remark with an obvious hint of sarcasm, twisted into a tone that would convey the opposite. The giant in the room would stir just as fast, moving a heavy club in its right hand up in defiance and tapping it twice upon the rough hewn stone for good measure. Heavy slams echo off the walls in loud booms. "Oh dear, I don't think he likes you lot." she'd offer as the woman would start to run her hand along the stone on the far end of the cavern. It would be obvious that she was here for something, and whatever was here before her arrival was not of her concern. If they wished to accompany her it would be on them to deal with the new mess they walked into. A wave of blue colored heat scorns the air as she rips it across the titan without even the slightest pause. This burns its hide and sets it ablaze for but a single moment, leaving a thick and wide gash upon its back. Drawn from its left shoulder and down to its waist, on the right. It reels and fumbles forward, yelling out in broken english that is hard to decipher. "Like that, doncha bitch?" Celeste barks as she carries through, following the distinct path of the art she used that would clip any other opponents if they were present. Instead it just works to build some distance from her foe before skill stasis would kick in and bring her to a grinding halt. With some trouble she'd turn to face Ugzeke, as its grey skin smoldered. Simmone looks around and sets eyes on Nisahime, Raidou was right on track as expected. She'd managed to make it here pretty damn quick. A slink of her left hand to her right hip would seek out the handle on her gilded rapier and slowly drag it out of the hoop on her belt. A flick of her wrist would see it swipe to the left before she'd raise it up limply. Pointing the end of that blade toward her target, her stamina would take a big dip and see that weapon wash in a vibrant purple outline. It would light quite ripely against the darkened backdrop, like a lantern in a dark cavern. Another pull would see her spiral forward at a breakneck pace, allowing the system to carry full send into her opponent with sheer tenacity. A puncture would inspire a booted heel to see it ripped free. Despite his massive stature, Ugzeke is sent tumbling like a boulder down a hill. Rolling in a heavy fumble, the ogre would slam into the first thing it makes contact with. A stalagmite explodes as the creatures body plays the part of wrecking ball, concussed with his bell rung. Kasumi exhales with her leg held high, as if frozen as she'd retract it and change her posture back to a more neutral one. Ugzeke was down bad, Kasumi could almost hear the little cartoon birdies from here. His head was spinning, and his weapon was left at the girls feet. Giving chase to the ogre as it flail around trying to halt its tumble, the red robe upon the swordsman's back would be a sharp pinpoint of his location as it fluttered angrily under his speed. A high pitched whir as he matched its movement, casting a bluish glow upon that gold blade. Ugzeke stops dead, and tries to pick itself off the ground. His skin starts to transition from its pale grey to a much more notable red, his rage personified as his anger would begin to bubble. "No." Raidou remarks within a foot of his foe as he'd slide, transferring his momentum into his sword arm. A pivot whips him around and the sword art triggers redirecting him and keeping all of that built energy and adding to it. *Slam* Its driven hard against the creatures back with enough force to press it into almost a person cookie cut mold in the stone, Ugzeke's skin is scorned under a wave of electricity that completely defaults the guy into a seizure. He just blinds across the chamber like lightning and pile drives the ogre into the floor, like a cardboard cutout. Celeste sees her opportunity and as soon as her HUD pings allowing her to move she does, rampaging across the newly made distance with cardinal washing along her cleaver. "Mind if I cut in?" she barks but the question is rhetorical as she'd drive that brutal sword of hers square into the creatures back. The ground shakes as it does, proving just how hard she hit it. The woman was absurdly strong, there wasn't an ounce of grace in those swings. But instead it was just beating everything to death through sheer force of will, that cleaver of hers despite its size being ripped around like a dagger. The poor ogre would be concussed and see itself jammed further into the stone floor. Celeste and Raidou stood over the parties foe, held down and under intense pressure. This opportunity someone would have to exploit, and Simmone held that opportunity. Her foot falls transition from a walk into a run, causing the tap of her heels to increase in tempo. A high pitched whir would she her leap and descend upon Ugzeke like a mortar. A streak of purple scatters up and down in a sharp angle, lingering in the air. The rapier slices deep into the creatures ribcage, finding its heart with eager precision. Upon her foe she stands, twisting with a crunch to complete the coup de gras. Ugzeke's strength fades as he lifts his hands in refusal but the blade slips through the gap easily. Those arms would fall to its sides, allowing Simmone to step off before it would explode into data. Down as quickly as the fight had began. Given that the woman hardly ever did this, the thought that whatever they were heading into was likely very dangerous. They had faced all manner of places she traveled to before, but this was the first one she warned them about. Joining the others upon the platform, as the white haired woman would drop that slip of paper and see the strange warp pad activate. It would travel them to another chamber that was identical yet darker, the lighting being much dimmer. Nisahime wanders behind the statue and Simmone follows suit, revealing a set of stairs that lead down. Into this large square room, that the moment they pass in a barrier of red light would form at their backs blocking escapes. Simmone would turn and press her hands to it, confirming it was solid and that they were now trapped. This odd sound like warping is heard, showing these shadow like entities splattering in from the walls in columns of ink that immediately transition into fluttering cloaks? A sharp gulp, Simmone would swallow her fears and take the first shot. Like a wave she rushes the fight trying to ignore her own weakness. Slamming into one, it drifts back and flutters down like a feather. Simmone follows up with a snap of her finger, as multiple others would immediately start to pour in. What was 4 quickly became 10. A fact that caught even Celeste by surprise, normally she was one of the slow ones. Seeing the first of a few foes destroyed as a multitude like an army kept appearing one after another, a strange sound every time they did. The room itself burned in a reddish orange light from torches on the walls, upon the ground a massive symbol of a coffin plastered dead center. A ring of her weapon, Celeste's intentions would become immediately clear to her allies. She'd join the black haired merchant and slice in a wide arch splattering a myriad of these floating rag things into scraps of dwindling fabric. A pair of orbs met with nothing more then an eye, colored in a cyan rich hide. Celeste redirects and manages to catch them in the blast, but she doesn't manage to put them down. They blink at her, and when they do a cone of white seems to start to pour out of their gaze. Her strength begins to wane, seeing her crippled and falling to the floor. "Shit." she'd mirror Simmone who looked on in dismay, as a mounted horsemen would land with a heavy crash in the room seconds later. Kasumi 0 Posted October 10 #35 Share Posted October 10 Standard Recovery +4 EN, Horn of Battle +2 EN, Charge CD {2/3} The large chamber they had found themselves in quickly descends into madness, the door locked closed and enemies coming in droves from what would seem like nowhere. Kasumi weighed her mode of attack as Simmone and Celeste both rushed into the fray, cutting down quite a number of enemies in an instant. But where those fall more seem to arise, and Celeste is hit by some gaze attack that causes her to take to a kneel. Another streak of black sees a mounted combatant land with a heavy thud, proving its weight. Lording over Celeste who was all but crippled, Kasumi knew she had to act before this turned ugly. That knight wore no head, instead black smoke oozed from where its neck should be. On it black armor, the horse mirroring it. In its hand a small hatchet which it raises over its head, causing the horse to move onto its hind legs. The tapping of Kasumi's feet would cause Simmone to turn, a look of shock on her face. Her right foot sparks and begins to burn in a bright pink light, and within ten or so feet she vaults airborne. That foot of hers brightens, and she rips it out and lets it take the lead. It slams into the rider's plated chest, square seeing him tumble off the back of the horse and slamming against the ground. Rolling over but stopping flat, it catches itself with its hand and a resonating hiss is heard. It was guttural and nearly demonic screech. A push of its hands would see it to its feet, once up it would raise and throw one of those hatchets. Kasumi ducks, but it starts to wrap around like a boomerang. His party was already knee deep in waves of enemies, killing them but they are quickly replenished. His cousin manages to knock the largest among them from its horse, taking away its speed and height advantage, yet it doesn't stay down. Not in the slightest. As soon as it has the opportunity it tosses a small axe in its hand which the girl manages to avoid. But seconds afterward it redirects and comes back toward her, outside of her perception. The nomad in red blinds in at a screaming halt, cutting the distance between them in seconds. A flash of steel and the grinding of metal, before lightning forks in off the attack with a shower of sparks. The axe parried is sent blind into one of the back walls, slamming hard into it and seeming to actually hang in the stone. Proving that it was likely going to be lethal. "Kasumi, just like back home." Raidou murmurs with his back pressed to hers, his robe still flowing. Kasumi would look to him, offer a stoic nod as she'd catch his meaning. This was exactly what she'd hope today would turn out to be. A mega legit rush into the unknown fit enough to write a song about, Nisahime always took her to the coolest frikin' places man. A jubilant screech just to let her excitement to escape, like feral yell. "Oh right!" Shiina snaps back to reality, oops their goes gravity. Tripping over her own feet, a couple of song crystals drop out of her armor and roll out in front of her. They start to play and the creatures in the room start to languish. "Meant to do that." the songstress lies through her little teeth, convincing no one. Pulling her arms in and closing one eye, she points her finger like a gun and turns full sniper mode. Taking aim as she expresses the movement "Target Acquired. Permission to fire, general?" The girl makes a radio noise with her mouth before responding to herself "Permission Granted, Fire away soldier." She'd pull back her thumb like the hammer on a revolver. "AYE CAPATINO!" Shiina shrieks as drops her thumb into her index, which causes Celeste's stamina to sharply leap up. Shiina retracts her finger gun and blows off the imaginary smoke. Opposite the stairs they descended down, the woman would begin to inspect the entryway. It would appear that the barriers were in place in full swing, which means that this place was likely completely untouched. Until now. The woman would look back at the little gathering, and it would appear that they were doing quite well against the coming forces. Hopefully they could hold out long enough to actually make it to the end. There was a conversation she had to hold, so despite her situation she would have to push a little to help ensure their success. A turn of her hand would see a flash of light, revealing a weapon that she was not ready to brandish on full blast yet. But it would appear that the cardinal system was less vigilant here if at all. A shield wrapping around her left arm not entirely unlike Eruda's, the woman hoists it linearly and a blast of power would see itself free. A wave of dust and sand would explode out from her. Simmone averts her gaze and shields her face with her right arm, allowing the wave to pass. As she has the opportunity, the eyes slowly crawl toward the floor from the ceiling, making it appear as though without sight also fell their flight. Turning on her heel, she'd blindside the black suit of armor with her weapon. She finds a space between the plates for her rapier to pierce cleanly into, and with that Simmone snaps her fingers. The damage spreads as a metallic chain like sound is heard and with it blue tethers launch out from the source to them. The change ever since her discussion with Nisahime a week ago. It was as if she changed her abilities on a fundamental level. The eyeballs explode into a dripping puddle of black, before vaporizing into black smoke. "On it!" she barks in agreement to the order decreed by the white haired with no resistance, given that was exactly what she had planned anyway. A rush of red washes down her cleaver, and it sputters into a wave of blue flame that quickly claims its surface. "Hey numb nuts, fuck off!" Celeste yells out as she slams that weapon into dude, before she explodes into a maelstrom of similar cobalt flames. The entire area around her converts into a blinding flash and rocketing out of the sphere is a smoking suit of armor, that skips twice before grinding to a halt. The thing struggles, its arms wobbling as they clamp to the floor and slowly see it raising. It proved the fuckers durability to be sure. As the flames clear Celeste is winded and using her weapon to prop herself up. "He's still up? Holy shit dude. The fuck is he made of?"
