[F24-PP-PT] Another Piece of the Puzzle (In Too Deep)

The familiar sands took on a newfound taste. With each passing day they felt even more vibrant despite being the same. The lingering feeling of life stuck to her soul like static, making every sense that much more potent. The scent of the sea water, the breeze that blew through the air so pungent and unforgettable yet before it was hazy and muddied. Looking down to her arm, a gold and silver ring strapped her her left wrist as it waited idly for her to continue her crusade. A day apart and a day away, saw her feel the world again as she had such a long time ago. It called to her on a way that she'd not experienced in years. That band a gentle reminder, that the puzzle was yet complete. A number of artifacts still left to be collected, to allow her to walk again. Free of the binds that had been placed around her, all thanks to a quirky blonde as a mode of reference to mimic.

Laying in bed of their new home. Birds could be heard just outside the window as a soft light would glow on the pure white sheets. Eruda was still sleeping soundly, bringing a gentle hand to her face lightly pushing a strand of blond hair around her ear. Pressing his lips against her forehead ever so softly as to not wake her. Was a bit sad that he couldn’t stay, there was still much to be done. Getting out of the sheets, cold feet against the marble tiles. Raidou would have a cup of tea later, he wanted to get this done and over with so that he could come home.

Arriving on the beach front, the sands were all too familiar to the man. They managed to follow Nisahime into a blizzard last time, unsure if this time would be any different but they had to try. The woman was planning something and whether it be good or bad, he wanted to know for sure.

Waking up in a panic realizing that she fell asleep scouting the town of beginnings. Kasumi only wanted to shut her eyes for a moment but wound up sleeping through half the night. Maybe she should start sleeping more so that this doesn't happen again. She had a duty to withhold, this would not happen again. Rubbing her eyes, coffee was very much needed but looking at the clock on her HUD there was no time to do such tasks. Rushing to get onto her feet and to the warp gate. The others needed her on the sandy floor again. Kasumi wasn’t going to question the motives of following the white-haired woman, she would just help support the group in any way that she could.

Arriving at the beach, Nisahime and Raidou could be seen. Raidou’s gaze was fixated on the woman once more. Hopping onto a boulder to scope the salt water in the near distance. It was very beautiful regardless of what she knew was swimming in it.

Reaching for her robe, it was early again. She was used to waking up at break of dusk but it would seem that her days were getting longer and longer with each new sunrise. Sam could be heard quietly talking to herself in the inventory area. The girl was showing more effort these days, that just meant a bit less work for her to worry about while she went on these escapades with the group. Moving through her items, she would put on an outfit that would suit the day's needs. Hopefully there was no freezing rain this time cause that really sucked. Slipping out the front door before Sam had a chance to chat, it would be another sand trip for mow. Who knew where they were going to actually end up this evening. 

Walking the sands, a light breeze finds her hair flowing backward while she's treading the path toward the crab’s waking point. Pulling her hair up into a messy ponytail, it would have to do.

-CLANK CLANK CLANK- Walking toward the warp gate with a yawn. Shiina was not used to getting up this early but she told the book boy that she would be there today. Sprinkles pops a head out from the top of her armor, Shiina would slowly push him back down. Resisting with a hiss but eventually goes back in. Tightening a strap on her armor, Griswold had shown her how to properly put it on and readjust it to where it wasn’t trying to fall off every 2 seconds. 

Wondering what today would be, not really a mystery though. She was hoping that she could make a snowman before they left. Brought a carrot from the kitchen and everything. The team didn’t really like the snow but how could they not, the white cold specks that fell from the sky to create a powder of fun on the ground. Shiina was looking forward to it, arriving at the sands. The crab would have to be put down first then the exciting part would begin.

Sliding down the rope ladder, Lium was hard at work. Somehow he finally got the crew to stop being lazy asses. Curious as to how that was done, maybe bribery, something to motivate them. Celeste would have just threatened to throw them off the ship, if they didn’t want to die that would be motive enough. Landing on the ground with a huff of dust against the sands. This was starting to be a daily thing, the only thing that wasn’t normal is where that woman brought them. Last time it was snow with some speedy winds and a mist storm. Hopefully it won't be that extreme this time. The cold didn’t mix well with Celeste being hot blooded and all. Seeing the group gathering the distance, watching Shiina waddle like a penguin, why did the girl not just get better fitting armor. Shaking her head, watching the waters for the crap to spawn knowing at least that was going to happen.

Finding that everyone arrived right on time. Morrigan found it amusing that this group would come this far everyday so early in the morning just to figure out what she was up to. Watching the crowd begin to use their full potential, yet they seemed to be still struggling with the small facts of the tiny truth. It was a shame that they hadn’t even guessed why Morrighan was doing what she was. Firm Anima just thought that she was getting into more trouble than they could handle. That was far from true. Once all the pieces were gathered it would be much simpler to do what needed to be done. If these people wanted to follow her then they would help her without knowing why. The light breeze flutters her hair back and forth as she points to the large crap that was coming to shore. Everyone that was looking at her would follow that finger to the enemy.

Walking to the woman, turning to the group watching them all scramble to get the bearings, getting ready to start battle. “You know if you tell them they would be more inclined to help you instead of thinking the worst of you and treating you like a monster that needs to be hunted.” Looking up to Nisahime, meeting her gaze with a smile. The woman looks back at her with a coy smile. “Well duty calls” taking a crystal out of her inner armor, holding it in both hands, closing her eyes as she starts to hum softly. A light glow as it begins to tone in with her. Setting it on the ground, the music waves burst out to her team causing them to flash with the beat of the song. Her hair turns into that sandy blonde and when those eyes open it reveals a soft golden yellow. The battle was ready to begin.

Feeling that power eliminates around her, the pure glorious music that plays against her ears. It was always fun having Shiina around, which made it a bit less serious. The girl seemed to be able to hold her own. Watching the crab come out from the waters, Kasumi knew it was time to start. Jumping off the large boulder, dashing through the sands at a swift pace leaving nothing but pink petals in her wake before bashing the inner flesh of the creature's shell. Upon impact it reels sideways and when it goes to attack the attacker they are gone leaving it grasping at nothing. Kasumi stands with her back against a rock leaning down low to stay out of sight. The last thing that she needed was to be put down by a giant unorthodox crab. The girl would leave the defenses up to her cousin who was already in the fray.

Grasping her rapier, the creature has spawned in its usual place like clock work. That weapon glows, Simmone goes in for the ambush. Seeing a large red circle where she would only assume Kasumi made. That girl was always the one up first making a soft spot more vulnerable for the others to use as a weak point, it was rather useful. Stabbing the bullseye a few swift times before backing up. A claw comes flying at her at mach speed, closing her eyes, Simmone hears a CLANK. Opening one, seeing that crimson red robe. “Hmm thanks” he would turn to meet Simmone’s eyes with a smile. Scooting back now, she was glad that Eruda took her advice and never gave up on him, a bit sad though. He was the perfect man in her book. Raidou had long turned away with the clashing of sparks flying in every direction, truly remarkable.

Rushing into the crowd, blade flung out as she thrashed against the creature but with every swing came a claw blocking each, “How the hell?” as one of those hits brought her off balance. This causes a punch of a leg to come through right into Celeste’s stomach. Flinking back onto her ass with a slide in the sands. Coughing trying to catch her breath,  staring wide at the creature. It has never done that before, eyes veer straight to Nisahime. Not that she was paying much attention but it seemed like in the previous fights the woman was trying to teach control and use of their weapons in a controlled environment. Did that lady make it hit her, to teach her a lesson. Nothing was out of the question, Nisahime was a very weird one so Celeste would not put it past her to be able to… Shaking her head at the thought, getting up and grabbing her weapon preparing to strike again.

Seeing Celeste get pushed down, it made him furious. After blocking this last attack, his feet shift and the blade turns. Smashing against the creature's shell with full force, you could see small strings of lightning against its flesh as it fell flat to the ground. Glancing back to Celeste he'd ask “Are you alright?” A simple nod from the woman who was already back on her feet. The creature was having trouble getting up from the impact. Its top main armor piece was dented inward and it was probably going to be causing some pain the moment it started getting up and moving around. Eyes find Nisahime’s who was watching from afar, nothing new there. Something was was though was that the woman and Shiina were glowing in unison to the beat of the music. It was strange to think that maybe Nisa was helping her power the intensity of that song that was being played.

*Optimal Turn Order Change

The girl might not be half off, it was fun watching them squirm on her behalf though. Was enjoying the show that they presented every time they were on the battlefield. Maybe if she told them or rather showed them, they would show more potential, not that they weren’t already but they were still just tiny soldiers in Morrighans eyes. The stronger they were the more strength she had. That might not bode well with them but this was the only way to make that man get what he deserved. Maybe a little notion toward the right direction would be okay. They would be in for a rude awakening though because where they were going, most of them mentioned they didn’t like the cold. It may be time to give them a bit of inspiration, allow them to move faster in the training process. Watching waiting, they were in for a treat.

Standard Recovery +4 EN, Crystal of Divine Light Used, Crystal of Divine Light Fades

Hearing the others super charge attack against the creature. The danger of her being hit was no more. Raidou surely hit it already so no attention would be off her, good. Peaking around the tree now seeing the thing laying flat on its belly, now was her time. Pacing herself at first, as she rushes through the sands. Sliding to a halt, getting into an offensive stance, pulling her fist back and making a pointing motion with all four fingers with her thumb tucked into the palm. A pink glowing illuminates her fist as she strikes hard against the crabs inner flesh, going right through its skin. If this creature was real then there would be a lot of blood splashing everywhere but instead it was little white shards that came out. Jumping out of the way as a foot threatens her bubble. Landing on its shell and dashing over, leaping to the other side leaving nothing but petals in her wake.

Seeing a gaping hole where Kasumi plunged her hand through, taking advantage of the weak point created as she jabs her rapier right in. The creature twitches for a moment before finally losing its will to move and bursts into what seemed like a million shards. “Well that's that, what's next dear?” glancing to Raidou twisting her weapon in twirl before sheathing it. The small winds make her hair flutter as the sound of the beach waters fill the silence. Simmone would recall last time she was here there were little critters of some sort that came after, couldn’t be too sure though. The sun was shining high in the sky now, it blurred in her eyes. Wondering how Sam was doing, if she was messing everything up or if she had gotten done with the daily inventory yet. Taking a few steps away from the remains of the crap, there was just a dent in the ground from falling so much.

Standard Recovery +4 EN, Rhino Horn reset (Simmone/Kasumi)

Putting a hand just above her eyes to shield the sun from them, looking around seeing nothing at first. Then she begins to hear little clicks, eyes veer to where the sound is coming from and finally she finds them coming from a boulder in the distance. That was not their normal spawning area, weird. “Over there guys” pointing to the pack of stupid that was slowly pitter pattering toward the group. Thinking about the last time, they clamped to her like a small fish. That was not going to happen this time. They were too far away from her for them to get a jump on her like that again. Keeping her distance for now, head turns to the white-haired woman. She was just standing there staring at us. Almost like she was thinking. Hopefully she wasn’t planning to end us, that would be unfortunate given they had not a clue what the woman could do.

Standard Recovery +4 EN, Recovery | 235365, CD: 5 (No Proc), Charge CD {2/3}

Pivoting his blade, slamming in against the ground causing a fissure with large amounts of tiny lightning lines drawing toward the creatures. This sends them flying in every which way direction with a POP. Seeing a few more, they were heading to Shiina. Raidou knew that the girl could take care of herself. That armor of hers does well at protecting her frame. Glancing around now, it seemed as though Nisahime was slowly wrapping around the group now. Her face was blank, but it was possible that she was thinking, the question was what about. He knew one thing for sure though, that map was going to her again. Last time they were in the same place as her, the storm just got in the way. In any hope this time it would do the same thing but the skies would be clear enough to follow or at least watch what the woman was doing.

Looking down at the crabs that were clapping their tiny little claws together, she stops singing and lets the crystal on the ground continue for her. It was her recording after all. Walking a few steps, leaving down to pick one up by the arm with a large smile. “You are so dang cute, sorry to see you have to go now” saying as she felt Sprinkles in her armor rapidly wiggling around. After a moment it just out the top neck piece with a snarling hiss and knocks the crab from her hand. They both fall to the ground and the rodent scrambles to his feet quickly before starting to chase it around. Shiina couldn’t help but laugh. “Get it?” thinking this of like a cat and mouse brawl out. Glancing at Nisahime, it seemed that she had made up her mind. Allowing them to watch what she was doing was a good thing, it would follow with questions but it was okay because no matter what her team thought of the woman, she never lies. They would get the answer that they want, with it would come a bit more trust. Holding out her hand toward Kasumi, the girl starts to glow.

*Optimal Turn Order Shift

Boots sinking ever so slightly into the sand, tiny waves splashing off an invisible barrier that couldn’t be seen. Hands behind her back, hands tucked together as she approaches Raidou. “Where I am going is dangerous, no doubt that you guys can handle it.” Shifting her feet around the man, “Dangers will lurk in the skies which will be clear this time.” Another few steps, Raidou’s head twists around with her listening. “Put them down first and ask your questions later” not looking at Raidou now but the group as they put these tiny distractions to waste. It was almost time, that dragon would be hers to consume. Morrighan could not do this part alone and she knew that. It didn’t make it any less easier though to show her true intentions. Fight or flight would be their choice to make. In all honesty this would be the true test. Scare them when she takes the power away from the white brute causing them to flee, or they will accept what is and trust that Morrighan knows what the hell she was doing and stop asking dumb questions.

One of the tiny things was running right toward her. Cleaving down wasn't hard to kill these crabs. It was a breeze compared to the other that they last fought. The last was running from something, it seemed to be foaming from the mouth as its body rapidly turned in an unorthodox way to get back up every time it fell over from a turn. “What the hell is that?” Celeste's vocal cords screamed in an up and down tone. Throwing her weight into this hit trying to make contact with the rodent that decided to show itself. Instead the red thing that looked like it had rabies darted out of the way and the weapon made contact with the crab. Lifting her weapon the small creature is stuck to the tip of her blade. The red furred thing jumps on her blade, turns to Celeste and hisses very loudly causing her to drop her weapon which allowed it to grab the crap and start eating it like it hadn’t eaten in some time. It was gone in a blink of an eye, seeing Shiina run up grabbing it by the torso as it seemed to be trying so hard to get away. Celeste just stares at the girl wide eyed.
