[OP-01] We Keep Hustlin' We Kept Grindin' (Grind Thread)

Today was the day. Ciela and Wulfrin had promised to take their new friend Astra out to farm enemies, a vital step for any aspiring adventurer in Aincrad. For Ciela, this was more than just another outing, it was a chance to prove how far she'd come and to finally take on her role as a tank with pride.

“This should be a cakewalk,” Ciela said with a playful grin, her voice brimming with confidence as she adjusted the straps of her gleaming armor. Her words carried an infectious energy, but her eyes sparkled with a mix of excitement and determination. Today wasn’t about sitting on the sidelines or playing it safe. Today, her armor would finally see real action. She was ready to step into the fray, shoulder-to-shoulder with her husband and their new ally.

Earlier that morning, Ciela had woken up with a renewed sense of purpose. With the major raid behind them and a semblance of peace returning to their lives, she and Wulfrin could finally enjoy the quiet moments they’d longed for. Their home, nestled near the serene lake on Floor 22, had become a sanctuary after the chaos. The gentle clanging of Wulfrin’s hammer on the anvil was a comforting sound she’d grown to cherish. Before heading out, Ciela stopped by her shop. She prepared a few tins of treats for their outing, homemade snacks and sweets she’d perfected over countless quiet afternoons. The smell of freshly baked pastries still lingered in the air as she carefully packed the tins into her inventory. Her shop had been her haven, but today, the battlefield would be.

Standing by the counter, she couldn’t help but smile as she imagined Astra’s reaction to the treats. He was new to adventuring, but his eagerness to learn reminded her of herself when Wulfrin had first found her, a timid woman too scared to step beyond the safety of the Town of Beginnings. How far she’d come since then. Ciela stood in the warmth of her shop, her fingers absently tracing the edge of the counter. The quiet hum of the morning surrounded her, broken only by the faint chirping of birds and the gentle lap of the lake’s water in the distance. The shop smelled of freshly baked bread, cinnamon, and a hint of chocolate, comforting scents that always managed to calm her nerves. 

She selected a golden breakfast croissant from the display, its buttery layers glistening faintly under the soft sunlight streaming through the window. Pouring herself a steaming cup of coffee, she stepped out onto the balcony, savoring the gentle breeze that carried the scent of the lake. The air was crisp but carried the promise of warmth as the sun climbed higher into the sky.

Ciela settled into a cushioned chair, balancing her plate on one knee and her cup on the small side table. She took a bite of the croissant, the flaky layers melting on her tongue, and sipped her coffee, letting the warmth spread through her. The soft rustle of leaves and the faint ripple of the lake were her only companions for now, and she reveled in the calm. Her gaze drifted to the lake, its glassy surface reflecting the vibrant blues and greens of the world around it. The peaceful serenity of the scene filled her with a sense of gratitude. She smiled to herself, tapping her mug lightly against the table in thought as she waited for Wulfrin and Astra.
