[post01.]

In her dreams she kicked about tufts of leaves in her enclosure and watched them slowly fall. Clouds like torn cotton hung above a house on wooden stilts and the pond it overlooked. She had loved, in the first empty days, sitting with a leg up on the wide open window and simply letting her eyes rest on the scenery. She had left her seat once she grew so fidgety she nearly fell off.

The leaves settled. A swipe of her boot against the biggest pile took them to the air once again. She invented a little game for herself -- how many could she count afore they all landed onto the ground? Thirty-nine with a TECH-F. One from the flurry touched the once undisturbed surface of the water and she pondered that for days. Then she made a veritable mess for her fellows, testing how much detritus she could dump in before Cardinal noticed and put things back in their place.

When Its fussing had concluded, she sat down at the shore, admiring the spread of clear blue. Her hands came up to cup her cheeks and she peered at her bright-eyed reflection.

It had been _,___,___ seconds since she stepped into the frame of a woman who promptly walked off the edge of Aincrad.

Did not die.

[post02.]

Vanished, however.

Spates of idleness were an extreme abnormality in her designation. She looked for her wherever she could. In the archives, in the information shelled out to her when she became her pair, in the eyes of everyone who had so much as breathed in her proximity. She asked, and was asked in return: [Continue to operate as instructed.]

Left with nothing else to do, she lowered her hand to the water's surface. The tips of her fingers brushed with her reflection's and ripples spread outward in a loosely defined circle, distorting the image, rebounding off the edges of the lake once they had traveled too far. She let her hand disappear beneath the water as she reweighed the reasoning of her choice. First the wrist, then half the arm, then she finalized the same decision and abandoned herself to gravity.

Splash!

For the first time in _ months, she left her enclosure not knowing when she would come back.
