Katoka 0 Posted January 23 #41 Share Posted January 23 (edited) Things seemed to devolve into chaos in a blink of an eye. The sounds of battle echoed through the town and when Katoka turned around Wulfrin had disappeared, odd tentacles slithering into the darkness were all that remained. Whipping her head around the samurai was now on her own, the hair on the back of her neck standing on end as wet slapping and gurgling noises filled her ears. "Wulfrin I swear to god you better be alright!" Taking off in a sprint the blonde leapt onto a pile of rotten crates, springing off of them and grabbing the edge of a nearby roof. The wood that had served as her escape collapsed almost instantly, giving her a small sense of ease. At least whatever was chasing her couldn't jump up with her. "Unless it doesn't need the help to get this high." she shivered as she climbed onto the rooftop. From this vantage point she could see various points of interest, none of which looked appealing to her. "Might as well make my way back to the gate at least, maybe we can all reconvene there." with that she leapt form one roof to another, making sure she didn't alert any enemies to her presence. "Man, Freyd should totally hire me for stealth stuff, I got this in the bag." her foot slipped ever so slightly knocking a shingle off of the roof and crashing down on a fish creatures head. "Ok. Maybe not quite yet." After a few more leaps she found herself crashing through a ceiling and rolling out into the town square. With an almost elegant roll she managed to land back on her feet, and skid to a stop right next to Wulfrin. "Long time no seee-aaAAAA! What the hell is that?!" she barely managed to finish as her eyes fell on the thing before them both. Her battle instincts kicked in as she disappeared in a blur of motion, striking the multi-jointed thing with her blade and leaping back next to her companion. ---- Spoiler Post Action: [x15] ST-I (12 EN +2 ST Shift) 14 - (Rested 2/2; Stamina) = 11 EN Free Action: N/A ID#: 240388 | BD: 5+5-2=8 HIT! | CD: 10 [ST-B Unlocked] | 23*15= 345 DMG vs Hokolesqua Wulfrin | HP: 780/780 | EN: 112/112 | DMG: 21 | MIT:78 | ACC:7 | AA | EVA:3 | PARA-IM | BH:23 | REC: 8 | FRB: 40 | FRZ: 64 | LD:4 Katoka | HP: 820/820 | EN: 105/116 (116-11) | DMG: 23 | MIT:78 | ACC:5 | EVA:1 | BH:45 | REC: 8 | FLN: 16 | HLY: 16 (0,1) Hokolesqua - The Beast 855/1200 HP | MIT: 0 | EVA: 2 | ACC: 0 | DMG: 200 | REND 28 (0/2) (1200-345) Abilities: Rending Strikes: Each successful hit inflicts Bleed 50 on the target. Hirru 0 Posted January 25 #42 Share Posted January 25 (edited) The sound of thunder would be more than enough, but the sounds of screaming more than added to the situation. There was something wrong and it wasn't just the stupid amount of people that seemed to think that a warning from the front liners didn't mean anything. No, there was more to it after Freyd and a few others had tried to keep a few players away from the area. The thunder turned into crashing and quakes, and before Hirru could say anything.. *ping* Quote *ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**̵͈̟̗̣̪͇̓̂̉p̷̨̺̙̜̞̑̈́ͅͅͅỉ̷̛͙̗̯͔̰̪̽͂n̶̢͔͓̗̐̄g̴̠̫̻̞͙̙̥̖̹̯̈́*̴̼͒̍̂̄̊̋͘̚͠*ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping**ping* The hunter's eyes were going wide with the sudden realization, but the floor had more than taught them that nothing should be judged by the eye alone. What were these results he was getting? He had not had something like this happen since, he was first learning to use the search abilities. Does that mean that these mobs have a higher sneak ability, or was there something about this floor that could hide them better than they could detect. Damn.. that's cheating. Running outside, the hunter surveyed the area. Wulfrin and Kat were handing a huge lanky, beastial thing. In another direction, it looked like Cro and Morningstar were taking care of the ugliest creature that he had ever seen. It looked like the player, Arabelle, was soloing a large blob-like thing with.. were those mouths or eyes? Baldur and Lessa seemed to be running in to give support. Where was the songstress, Jomei, and Mina? As quickly as he could, he would paint his targets for support. Freyd would be his obvious choice, but there had to be two more that he would have to choose. Looking around, there would be options all around, but he only had a enough for two. Unfortunately, they were not in a raid and the buffed party sizes were gone, unless someone wasted time to use a map to strengthen their patrol power. A message would quickly fly to the three that he would choose. Quote @Freyd @Morningstar @Crozeph Party Invitation? O / X "Accept those now! This buff is yours to use!" He would call out. Lessa 1 Posted January 29 #43 Share Posted January 29 The explosion took Lessa right off her feet. She was entirely unprepared - they all were - and she'd have liked to say that she'd have kept her feet if she'd kept her guard up. But the truth was, the sheer force of the blast would have sent her sprawling no matter how she'd have braced herself. As she'd positioned herself between the wrecked building and the teleport gate, she immediately found herself adjacent to Ground Zero. What did that make her half of the square, littered with prone bodies and the shrieks of the panicked? Ground One? Ground Point-Five? Despite years in Aincrad, her mind jumped to the most logical conclusion: a gas leak, a crashed semi, a terrorist attack. Only when she'd found her feet again, and shaken her head to chase the ringing from her ears, did she remember where she was. None of those explanations made any sense at all. So then why-? "Move!" came a barked command from behind her. "What are you doing? We have to get out of here!" "Ow! Watch it!" "Don't push me!" "You need to move!" "I can't!" Even as the woman turned to face the shouts, two other Players barreled into her from behind, nearly sending her toppling again. Annoyance burst across her face, but it was quickly replaced by realization. Then horror. High-level threats closed in on all sides. There weren't enough capable Players to meet them. Nowhere to hide. No safe zones. Too many people. Far, far too many people. With trembling hands, Lessa called up her HUD. She tore her teleportation crystals from her inventory, filling her arms before shoving them into bodies at random. "Take them!" she begged. "Take them and get out. Please, hurry!" It was like bailing out a sinking ship with a teaspoon. Hirru's voice lifted above the crashing thunder and the crashing bodies, tearing Lessa's gaze to his. "Right," she managed to answer, falling back on muscle memory to summon a party invite, fill it out, and shoot it to the appropriate Players. Quote @Baldur@Katoka@Wulfrin Party Invitation? O / X "Get in the party," the Guardian cried, though she couldn't be sure anyone could hear her. "I'll buff you!" Drawing her sword, she did so in a blast of brilliant blue light. Jomei 0 Posted January 29 #44 Share Posted January 29 "You mind if I see that?" The Shambler, as the text above their now depleted health bar once read, had been taken out with ease. Left behind were a couple of items, weapons mostly, but one in particular caught his attention. Usually, weapons that took on the look of something other than a sword - a broom or frying pan, for example - were crafted by players, for players. This cork screw was the first instance he had seen where it was in a fallen monster's pockets. Though it would need to see an appraiser to reveal any hidden talents or traits, he wondered if it had any other significance. Some sort of clue to figuring out this new floor and its story waiting to be told. Inspecting the wooden handle with a turn of his fingers, he discovered the phrase “If lost, return me to H.P’s Pub..” subtext, “Bring the corkscrew with you :) “ He chuckled to himself, looking like he just read the punchline to a bad joke on the other end of a popsicle stick. “I think I saw a bar with that name back in the town.. Maybe its important or something? Or else just some subtle story telling.” he would toss the item back to Ara. Behind him? Its source seemed so definite, but as the ginger drew his blade and scanned his immediate surroundings.. Nothing. Even Ara was suddenly gone, had she slunk back to the square faster than he had realized? Fearful screams and the booming voice of his comrades shot out from the town proper. Jomei did not even take a moment to consider what could be going on before he sprinted towards the ruined town. The settlement was a scene of disarray and chaos, the soggy ground still trembling from the explosive, meteor-like attack. What the hell had they gotten themselves into? How did they expect to press on, let alone survive, on a floor that would not provide them a moment of respite. Relying on a still standing chimney of a decrepit home as a vantage point, Jomei was able to get a feel on the situation. A mass of players, fellow frontliners spread out within, scrambled to escape the imposing danger. Monsters flooded the streets, chasing down anyone they could get their tentacles on. Some tried to fight, most tried to run, probably a smarter option. The ginger gnawed at his lower lip, unsure what to do. “Oi, what’re you doing?” Jomei shouted down at a group of three who stumbled through the wreckage in his direction, “You should be trying to warp out, not explore!” “We were trying to get back, but were cut off by a group of monsters!” A girl in the party shouted up, catching her breath every few words. “Our friend bought us time to run, but we couldn’t make it back!” “You’ve gotta help us save him!” “Save him? He’s a goner, we need to save ourselves” The group argued amongst themselves for just a brief moment before Jomei intervened. Hopping from the chimney, he landed just beside the other players. “Follow me, I’ll get you back to the square.” he began to move, not wasting any time. “And which way is your friend? We’re not leaving anyone behind.” *** A quick detour, and the group found the lone fighter giving their all to fight against the creatures that outnumbered him. A shattered blade later, and all hope seemed lost.. Until Jomei stepped in. The nightmarish monsters were deadly, but easy enough for someone of his level to clear out easily. “Come on, on your feet soldier.” Jomei would help the player to his feet after a near death experience. Hacking and slashing his way through the streets, Jomei cleared a path for the inexperienced players. Originally planning to lead them directly to the teleport gate, a monstrosity, unlike the rest, caught his attention. Its form loomed over the street, slowly emerging from the fog. And there was Arabelle, facing the thing on her own. This is why she ended up getting herself hurt last time.. “You lot go, it’ll be safe from here. There are others in the square that will make sure you get through. Go!” he shouted after them, making sure they didn’t stall behind. Once sure, Jomei rushed to Ara’s aid. “You know, you really shouldn’t run off from your tank.” Jomei joked as he stepped up beside her, “Especially since we don’t have any support with us this time.” Flaring his blade, Jomei would rush forth at the strange, flying nightmare. Kicking off of an adjacent wall to give himself some extra air, Jomei drove his rapier down into its chitinous armor. _________________________ -> ID240428| BD 5(+3)(-1)(-1) 6 | Hit Tech-C | 16x21(+3) = 384(-50) = 334 (1) Arabelle | HP: 605/680 | EN: 75/106 | DMG: 23 | MIT: 20 | ACC: 3 | EVA: 1 | FLN: 8 (6-8) | BLI: 32 (9-10); -20 MIT / 2 | BLD: 48 (9-10) | RSK: 8 | BH: 34 | VD: 10% | HB: 27 | LD: 5 | [RSK] (3) Jomei | HP: 960/960 | EN: 122/134 | DMG: 21 | MIT: 44 | ACC:3 | TAUNT | F-SPIRIT | EVA:4 | BH:53 | HB: 42 | VAMP-D: 106 | BLI: 32/-20 | LD:1 | Clean (1/2) | COUNTER 25% Shub-Niggurath - The Wanderer | HP: 544/1200 | DMG: 200 | MIT: 50 | ACC: 2 | EVA: -1 | THORNS: 75 | STUN | StunImmune: 0/3 Abilities: On successful attack: PHS: 50% | ENV-O: 50 /
Freyd 0 Posted January 29 #45 Share Posted January 29 (edited) Taint from his last encounter with the darkened crystal still stained his essence, like that damnably indelible spot from a certain Scottish play, and oft fortuning the same sort of doom. He'd learned to use it to great effect, but contact with Shadow's Malevolent blight through Orgoth's veins had forged an umbral tether that resonated to his core. Staring into the empty black orbs of the amber stranger's mask, Freyd saw only the familiar reflected in their voids. A garbled welcome sent hairs on the back of his neck to pinpricks sharp enough to stab with. That voice... like the screeching hollows from the hollow's maw... Chilling spines paled in pallor compared to the absolute dread washing through the Whisper's soul at the plethora of possible meanings; none of them containing even the slightest trace of good. Fierce red eyes matched to offset his blue as the stranger's hand came down and building exploded behind him. His cowl... it looks... Shrapnel tore across the square, stinging and shredding digital flesh as players screamed in their horrific dawning of dark awareness. This place was wrong. So wrong, and in so many ways. "Back to the portal!" Barking commands bade them withdraw, giving meaning and direction to those whose addled senses were stripped bare of their own capacity for thought. "Warn everyone you meet to steer clear of this floor. It isn't safe!" Burbbling moans and puffing popples of sickly, secreting suction cups filled the forever night's sky of fishy foes and their monstrous, tentacle fiend-friends sprung up all around them - some more vigorously and eager than they should. Tumbling over each other in their foul-spawned haste, they made straight for the most innocent and unprepared first. Chaos. Pure, and unrefined, spilled across the square as players scrambled in mass panic. Katoka sailed in from the rooftops, while Wulfrin sprung into action at her side. Other frontliners girded themselves and regrouped after finding other abominations in the abandoned town, all pressing them back towards the centre. Spinning his head back to their informal nemesis, Freyd saw only vestiges of its cowl fade from view to reveal Acanthus wandering in the wrong direction, too late to call out a warning. There simply wasn't time, and little purpose if madness had already claimed her, and absolutely no way to reach. Steel slid against scabbard, its pommel striking hard to accept the Jade Hunter's party invitation. At least he'd kept his wits or they would all be done for! Eyes fading to black on black, Freyd studied the scene from innumerable angles at once, seeing as shadows saw, through all their ineffable absences. It was jarring with so many moving bodies and shifting sources of light, but the gist was clear: they were surrounded, with enemies advancing hungrily. Four were notable and easily distinguished from the others, scattered to the cardinal points - surely without coincidence. Hirru's words were wise, but he'd have to disregard them for a moment, discarding his companion's well-intentioned boon. Crozeph and Morningstar might make better use. "I'll get to Scaly in a second. Gotta keep the horde off these noobs, or this only gets worse." Seizing on the pinprick essence still scalding the back of his own black cowl, Freyd called upon darkness' gift once more, hopefully to good enough effect. Blade held high, lightning crackled at the temptation of his improvised banner, he called to unseen kin and claimed temporary umbral control. Every figure's shadow slowed and halted, as if drawn to the blade's inaudible and irresistible song. One by one, they answered with resounding keening hunger, like a hundred banshee's wails, as every one became a portal to the void. Miasma cleared as each vacuum feasted on pervasive, fish-born stench and fog. The shadows moved at his direction, steering the horde through its variously haggard champions towards the Vice-Commander's tentative checkpoint and battle hut. All to converge on where he stood. "Come get me, you stinky pile of pustule-filled Play-dough set rejects!!!" Freyd's roar echoed through every one of his improvised shadow legion's maws, if only for an instant before the power slipped. A desperate gambit made to drive the enemy away from the fleeing flock of tourists and assorted other dum-dums, hoping he could somehow taunt and feint his way to saving their unfortunate lives. This had better fucking work... *** Post Action: Howl (+4 hate vs all four champions, 2 EN, CD 0/2) Freyd | HP: 1300/1300 | EN: 160/162 (162-2) | DMG: 24 | MIT:197 | ACC: 8 (incl. Crozeph 0 Posted January 30 #46 Share Posted January 30 (edited) "Good thing I managed to lure that skinny psycho to where the players are" That was a lie, Crozeph was chased by the Mother of Smiles and he was running for his life. While Crozeph may have figured something out by taking the maddening hex out of his inventory, it wasn't enough for him to fully neutralize the Mother of Smiles. The floor definitely gave the monsters an advantage while the players get nothing, except the ones that needed to escape. It didn't take long for Morningstar to regroup with him, he was glad the player was safe after he was tossed like a Magikarp. He went past Morningstar and turned around "why are we trying to help them escape?" he asked. Crozeph didn't know things were "that" dire. The Mother of Smiles was frozen or rather slowed down by Morningstar's attack. It looked like a <<Frostbite>> effect and Crozeph didn't waste a chance. he tossed the maddening hex up and hit it with his katana. The material didn't shatter which gave him a little sigh of relief but it did hit the face of the monstrous woman. He shifted his body and anticipated where the maddening hex would go after it bounced off where the nose was supposed to be. he jumped and strike the material yet again and followed it with a slash. Ryo 0 Posted January 31 #47 Share Posted January 31 (edited) Floor Eleven was a nice floor, in comparison to the others at least. A nice beachfront, decent city, and generally few NPC's that would randomly bump into him. Peaceful, was a word that came into mind. He put on his usual gear, his katana attached to the obi around his waist. "Pennyworth," He said calling out to his digital butler. "I'm heading out into town I'll be home later." He said. Stepping out into the bright sun he felt the warmth against his skin as he raised a hand to shield his eyes from the rays. The sea air tickled his nose as he made his way down the path. His trail led him into the main square, and past that would be the shopping district where his plan was to go today. He needed to pick up a few materials for cooking, as he had severely let himself fall behind. If he was planning on following cooking, and even maybe picking up a secondary profession, he needed to get into gear. At the main plaza is where things took a different turn. There was never a shortage of people in the square both players and NPC's alike, but this time the mood felt different. There was a growing crowd, and there seemed to be panic amongst them. Ryo got closer to the group as to over hear them. They were short of breath, speaking in between gasps and spoke in a panic. "Monsters! Huge, front liners, told us to run!" One said, doubled over clutching his knees. "The floor has no safe zone! Not even when you teleport in!" Ryo thought for a moment, before stepping up as asking. "This is the newest floor, right? There still people there?" The one that was doubled over nodded. "Yeah, tons. They were tossing out teleport crystals and the gate was jammed with too many people. I got lucky." Ryo took the information and stared at the portal. His hand touched the handle of his katana. The front liners were there, attempting to save people from some sort of monster in an area that had no safe zone. People were still trapped on that floor, and there was bound to be some confusion amongst the panic. Would the front liners need him? They were giving out teleport crystals, and no one had died in a raid in a long time. Surely they didn't need his help. His hand gripped the katana harder, causing it to shift in it's place. He thought back to his time fighting himself under the effects of the waterfall. It wasn't that the front line didn't need him, it was that he didn't feel like he was ready for the front line. To hell with his personal feelings, and to hell with his self doubt. The front line be damned to for all he cared. All he knew was that people were in trouble and they needed help. And help was exactly what he'd do. Ryo stepped into the teleportation circle. "Yo man, what are you doing?" One of the survivors chimed in before Ryo could say anything. Ryo ignored the concern, and teleported to floor 29. -------------------------------------------------------------- Instantly he could feel pressure all around him as he was pushed and shoved from here and there. After a few moments of trying to force his small frame away from an elbow, a gap of air appeared to allow him to breathe as a player presumably teleported away. His senses were overwhelmed from panicked shouts and desperate pleas of trying to teleport away. "Get. Out. Of. The. Way." Ryo said, mainly to himself as he force himself deeper into the crowd. Fortunately it wasn't the largest crowd and he was quickly able to fine the other side and free himself from the mass. Finally free, he was able to take stock of the situation. Four indescribable beings of what he could also assume was hate and flesh, and a few people he recognized standing against them. There was going to be no directing the crowd, that would eventually sort itself out. Ryo's hand shook as it gripped his katana blade, there was no turning back now. He took in a deep breath the salty air tickling his nostrils as the heavy air pressed around him like an approaching storm. His hair whipped against the wind as his loose clothes moved in the same way. Of the four creatures that were encroaching, Ryo could see one making a break for it. "Oh no you don't!" Ryo said closing the distance. He drew his blade and in a single motion deflected a blow that was about to slam onto another player. The deflection didn't seem to do any damage to Ryo at least not yet, but it took a lot of effort to not double over from the weight of the attack. It was quite possibly the strongest thing he had ever tried to fight. "Stay behind me, I'll keep you safe!" Ryo shouted at the passerby. As they ran off Ryo adjusted his stance. "Alright, ugly. Let's see what you're made of." Ryo said to himself as he prepared to attack. Without wasting movement or time Ryo dashed in with speed even he didn't know he possessed. The being raised an arm and several beings suddenly emerged from the sea. Ryo spun deflecting one off of his body as he cut it down. Good, the minions were like paper. His katana hummed and sang as it cut down another two that leapt at him. The being raised another hand, unknowing what it could do or what it was going to do Ryo acted fast and quickly cut into it. As his blade sank into the creature causing it to flinch, and Ryo could suddenly see his breath. "Sh-shit! C-c-cold!" He said, before breaking off from it to gain distance. He inspected his blade, where it had met with the frog creature was encrusted in ice, his arm and body was covered in a lighter frost. Was he in too deep? He took a glance behind him and saw the crowd of people. They were counting on someone, on him to save them. He didn't need to live, he just needed to stall. "Whatever!" Ryo shouted, shaking his sleeve and knocking the frost off. "Cold never bothered me anyway." ---------- Battle Stats --------- ID: 240444 | BD: 9 [crit!] | MD: 9 | - ST-1 used! -- Base Damage 21 + Minor Crit 1 = 22 -- 22 * 12 = 264 Damage! -- Energy Used: 12 - [Katana] Stamina 2 = 10 EN used <<Y'ha-nthlei - Father of the Deep>> 936/1200 HP | No MIT | 2 EVA | 3 ACC | 200 DMG [2] Ryo | +2 Hate via Crit [x] ??? Baldur 0 Posted February 10 Author #48 Share Posted February 10 (edited) <<Kaajh'Kaalbh - Mother of Smiles>> "Welcome back, my dear..." The Mother of Smiles says as Morningstar returns to the fight, but before she can embrace him with a loving smile and hug, the player lands his stunning attack with an explosive sword art. It is then, he notices, that her smile disappears. Did she have more of them before? Then Crozeph came in, playing racquetball with a hex, and while it was effective against the faceless Mother of Smiles, as his attack pushed her health bar down into the second, a shiver ran through her stunned form and her face was once again covered in smiles. Three of them to be exact. The players couldn't see, but perhaps could remember, each time they had hit her and it had dealt no damage, one of her smiles disappeared, the final one when she was stunned. [Stunned] <<Y'ha-nthlei - Father of the Deep>> As Freyd pulled at the shadows of the horde and the Champions, the Father of the Deep turned its sickly yellow eyes at the man and they flashed brighter, then dimmed. "N̶̡̧̧͉͇͖͍͇̣͍̮̹͕̬̱͆͐̓̂̆̓̃̓̉̆̆̍̚͠͝͝o̵̧̨̟̝̬̪̣͎͙̗̙͎͍̤͎͑̾̎̿͗͑̌̇̇͊̆̕" The father said, and the shadows snapped back, as if severed and whipped at Freyd like a rubber band pulled too far. They swarmed upon the Frontliner like they were legion. Then as if from nowhere, a purple clad figure struck out at the Father, who blocked the attack with an arm. His katana sunk deep, but did not slice through the froglike creature's limb, instead, frost spread out from him, threatening to slow the fighter down. As the Father of the Deep came closer, the lights from his eyes seemed to burn with a coldness, the feeling of a freezing wind too long upon uncovered skin. Drying them out, freezing them, and burning them with frostbite. Everyone in the area was effected, except for the Father itself. ID#240769 MD: 1 (miss) - Blight Aura Applied <<Shub-Niggurath - The Wanderer>> The large, flying crustacean like creature crashed to the ground as Ara slices through its wings and brings it down, the carapace crashing almost metallically to the ground. The dozens and dozens of holes open and close rapidly, as if trying to blink or breath.. or perhaps both? angrily at Ara. As Jomei crashed into it, his sword art hammering the shell with the added power of him leaping off the way, he felt one of the pieces shatter. At the same time, his damage pushed it across the threshold of its first health bar. The entire shell seemed to suddenly become suffused with a rainbow of colors, like light reflecting on an oil slick. Charing the creature up. [Stunned] <<Hokolesqua - The Beast>> The misshapen, inhuman form of The Beast made no sound as the phoenix lashed out at its "eyes" but the more it attacked, the more seemed to appear. It became more and more clear, The Beast was not a single creature, but somehow a swarm of smaller creatures acting like a singular being. The sudden appearance of the samurai woman caused its many eyes to blink in unison. Her sword art tore a chunk of the The Beast and caused it to fly away, before they shattered into the luminous shards players were used to seeing when a creature was defeated. The creature turned to them and lashed out, the arms reaching for the two frontliners, as the limbs crashed down where they had been standing only a moment ago, the wiggling, crawling pieces of the swarm just enveloped the space. It didn't crush or slash, it subsumed whatever it targeted with thousands of creepy, crawling little things. As it moved, the spots where its feet had trod seemed blighted, dirty, covered in some kind of fetid goo. ID#240770 MD: 2 ID#240771 MD: 4 The ebb and flow of battle surged across the field, players crying out for any of two dozen different floors and the flashes of light sparking across as if in waves as new players crossed the invisible line marking them close enough to the plaza for command works to work. Arabelle 0 Posted February 10 #49 Share Posted February 10 (edited) half the first health bar on non-modified tech. and, her wound reopened the moment she hit it, some thorns. why all the fanfare, then? dozens of shub-niggurath's empty eyes fume at her, the flesh of its eyelids flowering open and shut. it is lying on a bed of butterfly corpses and she hears their fellows crying in grief. she bids the rest of them to depart and shifts her red eyes sidewards to a menu bubble she is holding open beneath the folds of her cloak. jomei, coming from the wrong side of town, is now circling back to meet her. she draws her cloak tighter around herself and drops to the ground as he rounds the corner. arabelle's abandoned partner immediately begins talking, and she smirks. "but you're too good at your job!" she playfully accuses. "how else can i get hit? have you considered that i might like it?" if arabelle doesn't burn this bridge at her first whim, this might turn into a popularly debated point between them. she turns to the stunned mob and follows a step behind her tank despite their earlier banter. "there were about a hundred under-leveled players in the square earlier and a black-cursored mob was hiding among them." jomei aims for shub-niggurath's armor. she readies amaterasu's key. "was. it crushed a building and vanished. it's not our concern for the moment but keep an eye out for a man in a mask." the massive scythe appears in flashes, weighting down its considerably smaller wielder in full form, folds back inward for every lighter step she needs to take. her first swing takes out the insects at their tail, preventing them from crowding jomei as he springboards off the wall. her second, third, and fourth clears her own path to the wanderer. she spares a fifth to give her partner a clean spot to land. "four of these elites are headed for the square. the weaker players are evacuating and we're to stall them until they're all out. but with you here, i think we can decapitate this one entirely." just as shub-niggurath is beginning to move, she switches in and drives amaterasu's blade right into where jomei has already damaged its armor. a crack shatters the air. part of the broken shell juts upwards, reflecting her face in a hundred colors shortly before she backs off, light on her feet again and thoughtful. oh, that's the issue. if she had tried to blow this thing up all at once, she might have evaporated along with it. she flicks her eyes at jomei. "it has a riposte." and before she can say more, a howl from the plaza reaches their ears and her expression turns rigid. she untucks a needle from her hair, loosening it, as the insect-human hybrids scramble forward with more aggression than before. -> POST ACTION: AOE-I vs Shub-Niggurath & Shamblers 2 - 4. Morningstar 0 Posted February 10 #50 Share Posted February 10 He tore through amphibian bodies, wading through the ocean of monsters. His vision was clouded by the spray of red pixels. He couldn't make out what was happening on the other side. Shouting filled the gaps between the wet gurgling sounds around him. They were the screams of players, he thought, funneling into the teleporter. He thought he heard Hirru and Cro as well. A notification appeared before him. The light it emitted was blinding; startling. In between swings, he accepted it, linking up with Hirru and the rest. A damage buff came to be on his HUD. Suddenly, he was cleaving through the creatures with even less friction. The Mother of Smiles began to move once again. Morningstar twirled, casting a wide AoE and clearing the space around him. He bolted, digging his way out of the waves and crashing sword-first into Kaajh'Kaalbh. Jomei 0 Posted February 10 #51 Share Posted February 10 "You do you" the ginger scoffed. Shoulders rose and fell with a shrug, "I don't kink shame." Arabelle did well to fill Jomei in on the details of what was going on, though he was already aware of the gist of it. Multiple elite monsters, and a masked individual with a black crystal? Something about this whole attack was seeming a bit more premeditated then he would like. "Right, ran through a mad dash of players trying to find somewhere safe. Should hopefully be warping out by now. Saw the fist come down from the sky and crush some buildings.. but I didn't realize the situation was as dire as this." His eyes would trail to his health bar, the green slowly replenishing after the creature redirected some of their damage right back to them. That was a nasty trick, thankfully the two hadn't done massive damage, or else they would have been in trouble. Thankfully for them, fighting this monstrosity back was not difficult for them - while it may have been if a lower tiered player stumbled upon them first. The filigree that wove together the interior layer of his cloak pulsed with a golden shimmer, all while embracing Jomei with a comforting warmth. Once his health had jump back up to its maximum, it would drop once more as he delivered the killing blow. Simply twirling the blade his his hands, he would take hold oh the handle with the pommel facing upwards. With a jerk of his wrists, he would stab downward into the shattered shell of the nightmarish version of a crustacean. "Glad we found this one before it got to any of the others. We should see if anyone else needs assistance." At least he managed to snare the one and pull his particular tsunami of fish folk away from the rest of the fleeing crowds. "Ugh! DUDE! Emergency breath mint. Please!" If shadows could stop stench, he'd have sent the entire legion down the champion's gaping maw. Maybe if fishes were wishes, but they were definitely not, and already favouring the wrong side to wistfully grant them any additional edge. Cutting down some of their overly eager vanguard with a few well-placed strokes from his katana, he swam against the tide to join the few others who'd either already made it this far. The only other choices meant becoming stranded amidst the oncoming current of foes. One in particular, clad in familiar purple, definitely hadn't been in the raid. "Hey? Aren't you the guy from that weird D&D thing?!" It was a vague and seemingly distant memory, but all of his were since the thing with Callisto that he much preferred not to think about. It didn't matter. He was here, and he was helping. That was more than enough, especially while the rest broke and ran. "Glad to have you with us! If we can hold some sort of a line to buy time for the others to flee." Hints of a familiar voice and flashes of blonde hair drew his attention to the far side of the throng, possibly carried their way as they surged towards his failed vortex of shadows. She was a stalwart, in any case, and they would need every one that could be spared, even if she tended to give him the glower. "Lessa! We need to regroup. Just follow the sound of cold-hearted bastard." A few choice cuts and jabs downed another pair of fish folk, as well as taking a shot at himself, clearing a path for her to rally alongside. It would also be enough to help her confirm it was him. With barely a breath to spare or to send his apologies, Freyd dropped out of his current party to quickly offered to form another with his newfound companions. They'd have to organize by clusters to have any chance for effect. Maybe one of the others could correspond with the other groups while he stepped deeper into harm's way. Throwing out a recently acquired bear trap, a sideways flick of his wrist swapped one black blade for another as Samael's Pride peeled from nothing into his grasp. Swinging wide to give them all room to work cut down another swath of mooks to expose the burbling boss as it howled in rage at its mauled flipper, oozing slick bloody blue goo all over the cobblestones. Following up with a lunging stab, Freyd gored the same limb high near its apex, earning a an indignant and outraged howl at the targeting of its tenders while ensuring their enemy couldn't easily amble away. Oh, and also making him really, really mad. *** Spoiler Note: Still benefitting from Press the Attack for this round. Acanthus 0 Posted February 13 #53 Share Posted February 13 (edited) Acanthus blocked out the sounds of combat. The frontlines were not in danger. Nothing else mattered. Nothing except finding the next floor. She approached a broken house carefully. Shingles fell through a hole in the roof, sounding an alarm that made her hairs stand on end. botan gripped tightly, she peeked into the house, concealing herself as best as possible. Nothing. Acanthus breathed a sigh of relief, dialing her guard back slightly as she crept through the house. It was unlikely she would find clues for the labyrinth, but neither had she given up on the mystery of the town and why there was no safe zone. Surely it was the game working as intended, and surely that meant it could be fixed. It was a game, and games were made to be beaten. I’m not sure this qualifies as a game. Acanthus scoffed, kicking over the wooden scraps that were once a bed. And when she saw what she uncovered, she froze in horror. A child’s arm from beneath the wreckage held a doll in a vicelike grip. The grey flesh told her there was no need to check for a pulse. And she had no desire to see how much of its owner lay beneath the wreckage. From her vantage, the doll had been torn at the neck, stuffing spilling out into a small pool of black ichor. A similar ichor that had spawned from the emissary she had just slain. Every part of her body groaned with resistance as she leaned in to pluck the doll from the rigid hand. It came loose after a few firm tugs, revealing yet another secret: the child’s palm was covered in a dull red chitin, like a crab. Two fingers were barely fused together at the tip, creating the grotesque visage of claws. Her lip quivered. It’s not real. None of this is real. Cheap shock value using visual stimuli coded to resemble life— A scream bounced through the alleys, reaching her ears. Acanthus shot up, ready to kill whatever was coming. After the second scream, she realized it wasn’t a monster. And there were no NPCs on this floor that she knew of. Without thinking, she ran towards the noise. The young boy was definitely a player. She’d never seen an NPC look so afraid. Back against the wall, the fighter trembled as he faced off a horde of grotesques. “S-s-s-tay back!” He swiped wildly. The grotesques approached with curiosity, like wolves eyeing a fish out of water. Her heart melted. The boy was wielding default gear from a vendor on floor eight. And he was here? Idiot. A flurry of conversation passed through her head in moments. He deserves it. What, you get to make that call? Since when? Real or not, actions have consequences. Nobody forced him up to this floor. So you’re going to watch this? Enjoy this? You think I enjoy this? Her eyes welled up for a moment. But I can’t save them all. We aren’t heroes in a story. We’re just… we’re all just people here. The moment I start to think I’m more than that… That’s the moment I overextend. That’s the moment I die. And then I’m not going home anymore. The monsters had now closed in around the player. He had stopped screaming, but she was close enough to hear him whimper quietly as the beasts slavered. On a stale wind, a single mournful note carried through the alley. Then, the Emerald Duelist was there, cutting through the monsters with a grim smirk. Acanthus melted back to the shadows as he worked. His swordplay was effortless, catching rays of a nonexistent sun as he disintegrated each of the creatures one by one. By the end, he had barely broken a sweat. The boy, collapsed on the ground, looked up at him like an angel pulling him from the trenches of war. “Come on, on your feet soldier.” Jomei helped the boy up, and the two began to head back to the main square. Acanthus ruminated in the shadows. Of course she would have saved the boy if she were as strong as Jomei. He had been fighting bosses since the lowest floors. All of his equipment and experience gave him an edge she could never hope to match. But she wasn’t Jomei. She wasn’t Lessa, or Baldur, or Freyd, or Wulfrin, or— SHE IS HERSELF. WORTHLESS. Acanthus resumed her search for the labyrinth, less certain than before. Wulfrin 0 Posted February 14 #54 Share Posted February 14 (edited) The invite flashed into Wulfrin's periphery just as fast as the command came out. Without missing a beat, Wulfrin accepted Lessa's party invitation and immediately the familiar buff of Press the Attack pulsed over his virtual form. Wulfrin tightened his grip as the small guild of players attempted to hold their line. He had to get the big target off their back. Wulfrin leveled his blade and began his assault. As he took a step forward, his left arm grew heavy beneath its hastily bandaged exterior. The Crystal of Divine Light weighed even heavier. The instrument of his own near death experience felt like he had stepped onto a planet well over ten times the gravity of earth. Wulfrin almost fell to his knees from the crushing despair that washed over him. Then his eyes drifted off to the small guild. In the face of imminent death they still fought. Through gritted teeth, Wulfrin pressed forward. His eyes laser focused on the looming beast before him. His left hand affixed the horn of a rhino to his head before finally grabbing the familiar Crystal of Divine Light. The Beast slammed one of its many appendages into the ground, getting it stuck temporarily. Using the opening Wulfrin broke into a sprint up the full body of the behemoth. His sword blazed to life with a virbrant crimson hue as he unleashed a flurry of attacks into his foe's center of mass. The final blow, a massive burst of black energy in a halo of white light. sent the boss staggering backwards and provided an opening for his fellow frontliners. "FINISH IT KAT!" Wulfrin shouted as he braced for the inevitable blast of damage he would likely receive. * * * Recovery?: Not Needed Wulfrin is at Full EN and HP Cooldowns: Rending Familiar (2/5) Post Action: [x16] Tech-A (16 En) -2 stamina -1 Well Rested (3/3) Free Action: Rhino Horn +3 Damage, -1 EVA ID 240994 | BD 6+8-2=12 hit | CD 8 | 21+4 (Lessa PtA)+3 (RH) +8 (CoDL=36*16=576 DMG to The Beast. Katoka 0 Posted February 16 #55 Share Posted February 16 (edited) Kat was already running in for a hit when Wulfrin had called to her. She had seen him pull out his crystal of divine light and rhino horn, knowing that he would get hit with a wombo combo if she didn't do her job. In Firm Anima she had been appointed the captain of the Assault Squad. Katoka had often wondered if Raidou had made a mistake, she wasn't captain material after all. But for those that hadn't fought with her on a regular basis could see in moments like this she really did shine. Appearing behind Wulfrin the Cerulean Storm dodged to the left, whizzing past Freyd's apprentice in a blast of air. She seemed to vanish for a split second before reappearing with a battle cry, thrusting her katana into the head of the creature just as black lighting struck it from the heavens. With a kick she removed her blade and flipped backwards, landing on her feet and sliding to a stop next to Wulfrin. The monstrosity seemed frozen in place as electricity froze it in place. The thing fell backwards and smashed into a nearby building before shattering into a thousand fractals. Ryo 0 Posted February 16 #56 Share Posted February 16 (edited) What was this feeling in his chest? A sense of pride? Overwhelming fear? No, it wasn't anything like those. He felt those before, in good places in his memory and in bad. He knew what those felt like, this was new and different. He gripped the handle of his katana, feeling the silk dig into his palm. His breath hung in the air as the temperature drastically dropped. He could see his HP drop slightly, but the cold didn't bother him. He had experienced colder on the fourth floor, and here was on the twenty-ninth. He knew what this feeling was, it was excitement. His limbs weren't shaking, yet he was afraid of what was in front of him. He could almost feel everything around him. Was this what it was like to be a front liner? To face the possibility of death like this. It was exhilarating. He readied himself, ready to strike. He sliced into minions left and right, cutting each one down with a single blow. His head perked up as he heard conversation directed towards him. "You remember that?" Ryo called out. "I'm honored you remember me at the least" He said, recalling the events. "Not a one will get past me." The samurai called out, his katana slicing through yet another minion. "I've got something for this guy. Cover me!" He said as he sheathed his blade and took in a deep breath. Ryo moved as a blur as he sped to his destination, passing through the minions left and right. In the blink of an eye Ryo was at his target, the Father. "Ittōryū-" Ryo began, his hand gripping his katana as he leapt in the air towards his foe. "Violet Slash!" Ryo quick drew his blade out, letting out a solid purple beam trace his blade and cut across his foe. Ryo placed a foot against the father, and kicked off backwards flipping through the air. Ryo kicked off a minion, and landed back to where he started. "Damn. He's thicker than I assumed." Ryo said flourishing his blade and readying for another onslaught. Ryo looked ahead as he cut down another minion. It was soft, just thick. He could cut as deep as he wanted, but he didn't have the damage it seemed to cut through it's health bar. ---------- Battle Stats --------- ID: 241138 | BD: 8+3-2=9 [Hit!] | MD: 2 | - ST-2 used! -- Base Damage 21 = 21 -- 21*15= 315 damage! -- Energy Used: 15 * [Katana] Stamina -2 = 13 energy used <<Y'ha-nthlei - Father of the Deep>> 621/1200 HP | No MIT | 2 EVA | 3 ACC | 200 DMG Ryo | HP: 652/680 | EN: 81/100 | DMG: 21 | MIT:75 | ACC:3 | BH:22 | REC: 3 | LD:2 PARTY STATS Spoiler Ryo | HP: 680/680 | EN: 100/100 | DMG: 21 | MIT:75 | ACC:3 | BH:22 | REC: 3 | LD:2 Freyd | HP: 1300/1300 | EN: 150/162 | DMG: 24 | MIT:197 177 | ACC: 7 | F-SPIRIT | EVA:4 | DOTE: 1/1 | BH:72 | VAMP-D: 72 | HLY 16 | FLN 16 | LD:5 Lessa | HP: 910/960 | EN: 128/128 | DMG: 13 | MIT:127 107 | THORNS:72 | BH:29 | HB: 38 | MENDING: 2 | REC: 8 | HLY: 8 THREAD INFO Spoiler equipped »Gin Kin (+9 DMG) »Fierce Deities Coat (+36 MIT, +3EN Recovery) »Accuracy Charm (+3 Accuracy) battle-ready inventory » » » » » skills »Katana R5 (+7 DMG) »Heavy Armor R5 (+40 MIT, -5 Stealth) »Battle Healing R3 (18 healing per turn) »Searching R2 (+2 LD, +2 Stealth Detection) » extra skills »Survival (Healing effects 10% more, immune to environmental effects) »Leadership R1 (Grants access to Leadership Arts, takes 2 Extra Slots) »Leadership R1 » » addons »[Katana] Focus (Minor Crit on BD 8, reduce DoT threshold by 1) »[Katana] Stamina (-2 EN) »[Heavy Armor] Iron Skin (+15 MIT, +45 HP) mods »Impetus (+1 DMG) »Emergency Recovery (Heal 62 when brought below 156 | Once per thread | 10EN) »Night Vision (No penalties from low light/darkness) buffs » Dining Room: "Tasty" - Turn 2 identical food items (same quality, tier, & enhancements) into a Lesser Feast. Baldur 0 Posted Monday at 02:41 AM Author #57 Share Posted Monday at 02:41 AM (edited) <<Kaajh'Kaalbh - Mother of Smiles>> As the newly buffed MorningStar came for the Mother again, her smiles widened, ready for player with her new round of shields in place, but once again the player's sword arts crashed into her, and while his damage was blocked, her smiles were once again frozen. They tried to writhe with anger, but the paralytic venom held her in place, with his hit, one of the smiles seemed to peel off of her face like a sticker that had lost its adhesive and floated to the ground. "RRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!" It screamed wordlessly at him through smiles that refused to move. Baldur ID#241336 BD:4+5-3=6 (hit) No Damage due to Safeguard The gaijin samurai saw what appeared to be a rush of monsters breaking past the defenders at the Mother of Smiles, and so he rushed through the swarm of players trying to get out, and as soon as he saw the twisted beings, his sword flew from its saya and struck down the minions, one after another. He moved gracefully through them, evading their attacks and striking down another one as he pushed through the crowd, freeing up space for others to flee. However, when he saw those fighting the Mother of Smiles seemed to frozen with strange smiles plastered on their faces, he jumped towards her to back up MorningStar. His sword art flashed and struck her, but the blow was rebuffed by an invisible barrier, though he saw one of her smiles fall off her face, literally. "What's going on? She has some kind of barrier protecting her? How did you guys get her so low?" [Paralyzed] <<Y'ha-nthlei - Father of the Deep>> The sword of the player shrouded in darkness cleaved through minion and Champion alike, giving the players fleeing and attacking a bit of room to breath. His eyes suddenly blazed in a way that seemed like they were melting at the same time, but it made everything around him go dark unless Freyd could no longer see anything in the blackness except for those two yellow orbs. Ryo's sword art made a streak through the air, and even though it was pitch black, the violet light still tore into the form of the Y'ha-nthlei, but he could not see how much damage his blow ended up doing. Instead, a deep laugh seemed to echo through the pitch black darkness as the yellow orbs bobbed closer to them. The two yellow lights bobbed, and it was the only warning that Freyd had that danger was coming. He heard something whistle past him, but in the darkness it was impossible to tell what the attack was. [2/2 defenders] ID#241337 BD:4+3-4 = Miss <<Shub-Niggurath - The Wanderer>> As the carapace of the Wanderer was cracked by the two, the oily reflections became a dull imitation of the haunting beauty they may once have held, bits of ooze seeping through the cracks. Ara's expert swinging of her scythe cleared enough room in the crowd not just for the Emerald Duelist to maneuver but to give the players trying to escape room to breathe. And then the streak of red hair and green clothes came in and cracked the monster one last time, it's shell falling to the ground with a dull thud. An almost butter like liquid leaked out onto the ground, but had an unearthly sickening smell. Still, there was not as much as there should have been given its size. The liquid seems to fill up the cracks between the cobblestones of the path, and then sink into the ground. Instead of the shower of pixels like would normally happen when a monster was defeated, the wind seemed to carry away the left over pieces of shell like they were made of sand being taken by the wind and the tide. Even though the Champion was defeated, there were still dozens of his army bearing down on the players. As the minions started to bear down on them, darkness seemed to close in as well. Suddenly, the eyes of one of the minions began to glow with a disgusting yellow light. Suddenly it leapt forward as the darkness closed around, but Jomei was just barely able to get out of the way. The slashes of its claws seemed a distraction as the slimy tongue shot out of its mouth and attempted to latch onto the man, instead striking the building behind him and knocking a hole in the wall. [Champion Defeated - Hoard still threatens the NPCs, and a Deepling threatens the players] ID#241339 BD:6+3-4=Miss <<Hokolesqua - The Beast>> The writing mass of wiggling, crawling, slithering creatures that made up the Beast seemed to explode when Wulfrin hit it with his explosive combo, but each piece seemed capable of moving on its own, as it tried to rejoin and come together right when Katoka flew in and delivered a final blow, paralyzing it and preventing it from using its really cool special ability and dividing in half to create a second version of itself. The two of them, however, were now covered head to toe in whatever it was that made the Champion's form, and even though the Champion was defeated, there were still dozens of his army bearing down on the players. Each just as gross as the champion. And then one of their eye cavities seemed to grow with a yellow light. Then the eyes suddenly lurched forward, its form and limbs barely illuminated by the yellow light, but the tongue shot out from nowhere and struck Katoka like a punch, sending throwing her back several paces with the force of the blow. It didn't seem to want to let go, slowing her down even more. [Champion Defeated - Hoard still threatens the NPCs, and a Deepling threatens the players] ID#241338 BD:9 (crit) 200DMG, -2 EVA: 200-58=142 DMG dealt to Katoka With more space having opened up due to players teleporting out, there was less of a crush of players. More people were able to teleport out, because they were spending less time falling and fighting each other. More order could be maintained as people were slightly less panicked at being able to see and move without as much of a crush of bodies. But is also made each one easier to be an individual target. As champions began to fall, darkness started to close in down three of the four streets, emanating from the creatures with the sickly yellow eyes. The small guild of prepared players continued to try and hold the line against the rush of minions coming not down a street, but from the building that the giant hand had crushed. It seems they would be the last ones out. 35/35 Players remaining! 0 Players lost 2/3 Waves survived. <<Kaajh'Kaalbh - Mother of Smiles>> 424/1200 HP | No MIT | 3 EVA | 3 ACC | 200 DMG | Immune to Bleed and Burn Effects | +10 LD for searching | 64 Freeze on hit (EVA set to -1, Paralyzed) - but without ice, just a creepy, unhinged, crazy smile and a moment of mental torment | Stun Immune (1/3) | COWL OF MADNESS [0/2]- Gains 2 charges of Safeguard, must deal at least 100 damage to break through | PARALYZED | DELAY [3] <<Morningstar>> | HP: 966/966 | EN: 100/120 | DMG: 27+4 | EVA: 4 | ACC: 5 | BH: 43 | LD: 6 | REC: 8 | FLN: 16 | AA | PARA-V [1] <<Baldur>> | HP: 980/980 | EN: 132/132 | DMG: 23 | MIT:78 | ACC:5 | AA | KEEN: 1 | F-SPIRIT | EVA:2 | BH:49 | REC: 8 | FLN: 8 | BLI: 32/-20 | BRN: 56 | FRZ: 64 | LD:5 <<Y'ha-nthlei - Father of the Deep>> 201/1200 HP | No MIT | 0 2 EVA | 3 ACC | 200 DMG | Immune to Freeze and Shatter Effects | On hit decrease target EVA by 2 for 2 rounds | Continual 50 Blight damage -20 Mitigation Aura | Terrors of the deep - The effect of his area now removes all accuracy from effected players unless they have night vision. Ryo 0 Posted Thursday at 02:07 AM #59 Share Posted Thursday at 02:07 AM (edited) Ryo raised an arm arm to shield his eyes as the area around him went pitch black. Without wasting a moment, Ryo's eyes flashed his <Night Vision> activating. He tilted his head to the right narrowly avoid the missed attack meant for Freyd. The attack, whatever it was, fell harmlessly behind him. "They have ranged attacks!" Ryo called out. "Watch out for the cross-fire!" He said noting the still trapped portion of people. They'd be sitting ducks if this darkness didn't clear out soon. If they continued to hold the line as well as they did, the other players would soon all be out. And then they'd be able to follow suit. Or, take this beasts down. Two glowing beacons cut through the darkness, almost negating his need for Night Vision. An easy target. Ryo drew his blade, and spun it slowly. "Ittōryū-" He said to himself, activating his sword art. He dashed forward, blinking past minions and allies alike. He stood underneath the Father, his blade poised and ready. Ryo shouted, "Full Moon Revel!" and as he did he leapt into the air dragging his blade upwards and slicing through the father and the darkness. The violet blade's sword art cut into the air, slicing clean up the creature known as the father. The energy from the blade would pierce the heavens and cleave the sky in twain. The darkness was cleaved in both ways from his slice, revealing the previous sky. Where once there was choking black, there now was a sea of stars and nebulas. As Y'ha-nthlei fell and shattered into pixels, Ryo landed on his feet sheathing his blade the final pixels fading away as it clicked into place. Ryo turned to face the other beings, seeing that they had been swapped for new creatures. "Stand strong, another is more than likely on its way." Ryo said, readying for more things to spawn. ---------- Battle Stats --------- ID: 241404 | BD: 7+3=10 [Hit!] | MD: 4 | - Sword Art ST-1 used! -- Base Damage 21 = 21 -- 21 * 12 = 252 - 0 mit = 252 Damage -- Energy Used: 12 - [Katana] Stamina -2 = 10 energy used <<Y'ha-nthlei - Father of the Deep>> -51/1200 HP | No MIT | 2 EVA | 3 ACC | 200 DMG Ryo | HP: 624/680 | EN: 75/100 | DMG: 21 | MIT:75 | ACC:3 | BH:22 | REC: 3 | LD:2 PARTY STATS Spoiler Ryo | HP: 680/680 | EN: 100/100 | DMG: 21 | MIT:75 | ACC:3 | BH:22 | REC: 3 | LD:2 Freyd | HP: 1300/1300 | EN: 150/162 | DMG: 24 | MIT:197 177 | ACC: 7 | F-SPIRIT | EVA:4 | DOTE: 1/1 | BH:72 | VAMP-D: 72 | HLY 16 | FLN 16 | LD:5 Lessa | HP: 910/960 | EN: 128/128 | DMG: 13 | MIT:127 107 | THORNS:72 | BH:29 | HB: 38 | MENDING: 2 | REC: 8 | HLY: 8 THREAD INFO Spoiler equipped »Gin Kin (+9 DMG) »Fierce Deities Coat (+36 MIT, +3EN Recovery) »Accuracy Charm (+3 Accuracy) battle-ready inventory » » » » » skills »Katana R5 (+7 DMG) »Heavy Armor R5 (+40 MIT, -5 Stealth) »Battle Healing R3 (18 healing per turn) »Searching R2 (+2 LD, +2 Stealth Detection) » extra skills »Survival (Healing effects 10% more, immune to environmental effects) »Leadership R1 (Grants access to Leadership Arts, takes 2 Extra Slots) »Leadership R1 » » addons »[Katana] Focus (Minor Crit on BD 8, reduce DoT threshold by 1) »[Katana] Stamina (-2 EN) »[Heavy Armor] Iron Skin (+15 MIT, +45 HP) mods »Impetus (+1 DMG) »Emergency Recovery (Heal 62 when brought below 156 | Once per thread | 10EN) »Night Vision (No penalties from low light/darkness) buffs » Dining Room: "Tasty" - Turn 2 identical food items (same quality, tier, & enhancements) into a Lesser Feast.
