[PP-F27] Antagonizing the Trees

The wind whistled through the trees, as if announcing the start of Hakai's hunt. She was leaned up against a tree, the bark gently digging into her back as she took in her surroundings. Srona, one of the five territories of the twenty seventh floor, was the area with the largest forests on the floor, and the easiest enemies to farm. As an appraiser she was in constant need of more money and items, leading her to spend the majority of her free time running around Aincrad looking for treasure. It was a solitary life, but she definitely didn't mind. Other players always seemed to find some way to come between her and the riches that were rightfully hers.

She gripped the collar of her fur lined jacket, the white fleece contrasting sharply with the black of the cloth as she pulled it closer around her. She had never been a fan of armor, the almost imperceptible padding of the jacket being more than enough for her. After all, why try to mitigate damage when you could just avoid it entirely? She let out a long groan, her long red hair hiding her grimace. She loved a good fight, but after spending so long clearing trash mobs she was starting to get a little annoyed. If only there was some way to spice things up...

Karona made one final attack towards an elemental that the two had been in combat with, after Karona had made its chomp and reduced the elemental back into data as it exploded into shards in its mouth it felt around inside itself trying to feel if it had any loot, however alas... the enemy had dropped completely nothing. Leaning a bit forward having its eye looking down at ground as it walked towards Kairi, Kairi giggled and gave her mimic a few pats on the head "Its no worries lil guy! There are boundless enemies with tons of loot just waiting for us! You did a good job!" afterwards Karona looked up and bounced a bit excitedly as it opened its maw and with its big tongue lick Kairi. Kairi giggling pushing the tongue away from her "hehe, not now not now! Its too windy and too cold for you to get slobber on me!"

Afterward she patted herself and her Valkyrian Armor down to get any of the saliva off and looked over to see that another player was in the area. With a smile she waved her hand excitedly towards them "Hi there! I'm talking to you! Are you alone? I'd love to talk!"

Hakai didn't trust it. This new woman was asking some very strange questions. 'Are you alone?' The chick didn't seem like type to go around murdering other players, but you never could tell in SAO. There was also the fact that she was being followed around by a monster. A mimic, the perfect creature to dispose of a body with. To top it all off the woman had a very chipper and happy attitude that Hakai despised. 'What is there to be so happy about...' She thought to herself. She tried to weigh the risk reward. Could she take the chipper princess lady? Probably. And people like her tended to be easy to rip off, so maybe there actually was a lot to gain from this encounter.

She groaned inwardly, already dreading the interaction ahead of her. Hakai waved back to Kairi, a half hearted and very tired wave. "Hello. I can see that you're talking to me, I don't think there's anyone else nearby." She frowned, unable to bring herself to even pretend to be friendly. "What would you like to talk about? If you need directions, i don't have the slightest clue where anything is." Her hand reached down to tap the pommel of her katana absentmindedly. "I'm just here to hunt monsters, and I'd love it if you wouldnt get in the way."
