» About: Raun was the first child in the Hunter family. He was born on the last Wednesday afternoon of the second month in the year 2001. Having born in one of the wealthiest families of the region, he was treated like the prince he is, everywhere. If not nothing, he had experienced very little disappointment in his life. He had always got what he wanted right when he wanted it.

Five years later, another child was born in the Hunter family. It was a princess this time. A princess who was crippled from birth. The five year old Raun who was eagerly anticipating the days when he can chase his younger sibling around the mansion had his very first significant disappointment. However, this only increased the intensity of affection he had for his sister. The family took an oath to never let Sohpia Hunter feel low because of her inability.

Years passed and Raun was now going to college while Sophia was home schooled. And often, their parents had to leave for long business trips. This left Sohpia all alone in the mansion with a grumpy maid almost all day. Initially, it was a stray cat that sits on her window sill, then it was movies, later it was Anime and finally it came to video games which kept her engaged.

The introduction of the Nerve Gear and Sword Art Online brought tears of joy to her. She knew what it meant. It meant she can walk, even if it is in a digital world. It wasn't her brain that is stopping her from walking. It was a nerve at her muscle end. But Nerve Gear intercepts the signals from brain and makes the Avatar inside the game do it instead. She can WALK! And she wasn't going to miss such an opportunity. She ordered her maid to get a copy of SAO on the day it was released and logged in only to see how it feels to walk. Never did she imagine that it would put her life on the line.

Within hours, the news about SAO had spread all over the world and it didn't take the Hunter family long to know that Sophia was caught in it. The cops still haven't found the base server and the creator of the game. Raun was worried and frustrated. The twenty-two year old blamed his parents for leaving his sister alone all day claiming that was what had led to such an event. But deep down, he knew it was his fault too. Recently, his social circle has gotten so wide that he had less and less time to spend with his sister. For two whole days, he sat beside the bed where his sister was lying motionless and checked for her pulse every minute. This was killing him. He wished he could do something to save her. But what? There was only one thing he could do.

The very same night, he went to each and every victim's house that was in and around his area, requesting the people who lived with them to give the victim's copy of SAO. While most refused to give it to him, one lady was more than happy to get rid of the thing that killed her daughter. With that, Raun Hunter started his link with Sword Art Online to save his precious sister.

» Virtues:

Calm: The phrase "cool as a cucumber" fits him perfectly. No matter how tense the situation is, he is able to keep himself from panicking and think as clearly as ever. Such composure gives him an edge on long and tiring battles where strength alone is not the key.

Intelligent: It will be quite a task to fool him. He is very perceptive and would see through any obvious deceit easily. Also, his ability to comprehend complex problems and come up with several solutions for it in a short period of time is extraordinary.

Persuasive: Is it the charm? Or is it his tone? Maybe it is his choice of words? Including himself, no one knows exactly how he bends others' perception according to his will with ease. Nevertheless, he had found this trait of his to be very useful in many situations where he absolutely wanted to avoid violence and he is grateful to it.

Righteous: Immoral acts disgust him. He would go to any lengths to set things right, even if it means breaking the rules. And if there is no way to undo it, he will hunt down the person who caused it and make them pay for it.

Stealthy: This is a trait that manifests on both his physical and mental state. Physically, he is very quiet and has the skill to vanish into a crowd. On the other hand, mentally, he is highly surreptitious and would reveal nothing to anyone unless it is absolutely necessary.

» Flaws:

Proud: Ever since his childhood, every person he had met had complimented him on his intelligence and talent. Over time, it had gone to his head and he takes too much pride on anything he does. Anyone who picks on his pride, would earn themselves a ruthless enemy.

Vengeful: He believes "an eye for an eye" is too soft for a revenge. If he has his way, he would take both the eyes and a limb or two for an eye. Anyone who rubs on his wrong side or his loved ones', simply has no other option but to surrender, in which case he might spare them the torture.

Stubborn: His decisions are set in stone. He does take enough time to take one and thinks more than thrice before fixing it. But, once fixed, no amount of reasoning from anyone would make him change his plans.

Tactless: His family has been teaching him to be a gentleman all these years, but he could only learn to pretend like one. When being himself, he simply doesn't understand what would hurt others and what wouldn't. He his himself only with his very close friends and it is those who have to deal with it.

Indifferent: Because he has the perception to see through things and get to the root of it, he is very rarely impressed with anything. This means, eventually, he will lose interest in anything that he does and would constantly keep changing his activities.
