Ren 0 Posted January 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2014 Introducing Ranks, a new way of categorizing power levels. The reason behind this idea is to enhance the role playing quality and to differentiate the power between items. [Weapons Classification] [E – Rank] Standard Weapons from Shops [D – Rank] Crafted Weapon from D Rank Material [C – Rank] Crafted Weapon from C Rank Material [b – Rank] Crafted Weapon from B Rank Material [A – Rank] Legendary Weapons [s – Rank] Divine Instruments [Crafting Materials] [D – Rank] – Floor Drop 1 - 25 Hardened Iron Ingot [C – Rank] – Floor Drop 25 - 50 Titanium Ingot [b – Rank] – Floor Drop 50 - 75 Crystalline Ingot [Weapons Damage] (Reason why scalling is doubled, is because Quest Items or Unique Items, can be given between those values) [E – Rank] + 2 Damage on Hit. [D – Rank] + 4 Damage on Hit. [C – Rank] + 6 Damage on Hit. [b – Rank] + 8 Damage on Hit. [A – Rank] + 10 Damage on Hit. [s – Rank] + 20 Damage on Hit. How to farm a Crafting Material? A five post role playing session done by a Blacksmith in a [solo Party], and the fifth post will determine if the item dropped or not. Example: Lets say that you’re farming a [D – Rank] Material. Farming Floor 1 – 5, will need a roll over 25 from 30 Max on your fifth post. Farming Floor 6 – 11, will need a roll over 20 from 30 Max on your fifth post. Farming Floor 11 – 16, will need a roll over 15 from 30 Max on your fifth post. Farming Floor 16 – 21, will need a roll over 10 from 30 Max on your fifth post. Farming Floor 21 - 25, will need a roll over 5 from 30 Max on your fifth post.
RyujinSeaLord 0 Posted February 3, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2014 The idea and thought behind this, in my opinion is brilliant but shouldnt we have something more based on the 20 sided loot die, so 1 can be a basic anything and 20 is like S-rank weapons or armour or items but catergorize them clearly better than i just did
Ren 0 Posted February 4, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted February 4, 2014 Thanks for reading, Ryu. Yeah implementing them with Dice Roll can be a good idea as well, though I should of stated. My idea behind ranks was something like this: Example. Between Level 5-10 A player should have access to D Rank Weapons. Between level 15-30 A player should have access to B Rank Weapons. That way a level 40 will do more damage then a level 10, making the game more realistic. As you know, Kirito had a sword (the black one) but he couldn't use it because he didn't had a high level. The reason I want to implement this is because with the curent system, players who have 3-4 levels more will 100% win because = more hp. So spamming = win here, don't need to Role Play as long as you spam. So... farming for a weapon or materials etc, in my opinion will improve the role play, heck the people might make parties to get better weapons, mats etc. (more role play) Edit Notes: I do agree this might complicate the system a bit, but as you can see people are not fighting that much in terms of player versus player. Thus, those who are a bit more "hardcore" can use this system, and those who aren't can use whatever they wish against dungeons, mobs, etc. Not sure about events, or level clearing.
