As a man of morals, he felt he had to help players out when it came to making their life easier for them. Very much so making it awkward for them right now was some NPC bandits, who ambush players grinding floor 9 and causing them havoc, possibly even death if they weren't careful. Tristan saw this as a way to help many players, clearing out the trash this way. So Tristan went to the hot and unpleasant Floor 9, wiping the sweat off his face with his shield arm using a handkerchief, the shield slung to his arm so that he had a hand free. He did not enjoy the heat here, but he just had to bear with it. It took surprisingly little effort to lure the bandits. All he had to do is do some non-combat looting from a mining node, when 4 bandits came out as he expected. "Well then, come to play have we?" ID: 20815 BD 2 Miss MD 8-3=5 Miss Tristan attempted to strike the first bandit, but missed totally. They were great in number and thus difficult to target. The bandit mocked him, saying "Hah, you missed Barry!". The 4 bandits moved in unison to attack, but struck his shield so they all missed their blow on him. This was going to be a long fight... This was going to go longer than he anticipated. Luckily though their aim was awful too, so could be easily blocked by his shield as he went on. "Come on then, actually try to hit me." he taunted to them, which made them all mad. He struck the first bandit Barry and damaged them. Even if he did damage them though, he still didn't deal a huge amount and foresaw this fight taking quite some time... Barry cried out "Ow, you hurt me!". Tristan rolled his eyes at the AI of the NPC enemy. Now his brother spoke up. "Larry thinks you need to work on your aim!". Tristan spit back at them "Shut it you.", scowling at them. He readied himself to strike again at them. Apparently he fell right for it though as they anticipated the attack and dodged. Tristan blocked the attack that came though after so it didn't hit him. He damaged them and smiled as he got the hit, back to getting hits. They on the other hand all COMPLETELY MISSED him, so badly they fell in a heap and had to collect themselves. The mix of 4 small hirrs made the air leave his lungs, but they were probably grasping for breath because they were burning from his shield. He was basically eternally grateful to Alkor for that shield. Luckily for him, though, he raised at the last second his shield and they all struck the shield, which caused an explosion of flames and burnt them all. Tristan adjusted himself ready for the next attack, noticing one of the bandits was already close to death. He did want to focus on Larry though because the sooner Barry and Larry were dead, the less effort he would have to go through from being attacked by four different foes consecutively. He swung his spear slightly with a jab to Larry and cut their arm, then withdrew back as they all missed him badly. Well at least this meant only one more attack meant their demise. Tristan thrust his spear out at Larry and pierced through their guard, the spearhead smashing into them and dealing damage. All four bandits then converged on him, blades in hand swinging. They all however bounced off his shield harmlessly, leaving him totally unscratched. This fight was getting boding at this point at how long it was taking... They went to attack the image of them anyway, but ended up only hitting the shield and the flames of the shield burnt them alive, them screaming from the fire licking their virtual skin. Tristan then took the time after recovered from the blow of the attack to stab at one of the higher HP enemies, since one died and another was close to death at this point anyway. Tristan felt the battle healing revitalizing him though after the attack so he had mostly entirely recovered from the attack. Either way though, they all missed him too since well...they were too busy flailing. It was a bittersweet thing of sorts, since at this rate he wanted them to hit him so they received extra damage, regardless of what he received. It was of little worry though, seeing as the foes left themself very open for attack too and thus were of little concern. The fight was so long at this point he was considering what to have for food tonight, as he was at no risk of death anyway. Apparently it was much easier hitting a target that was not flailing due to being on fire, seeing as he connected his blow and damaged Garry, seeing as Larry would die from the next time they would hit his shield. It seemed that they were however still daze seeing as no attempt to attack him was seemingly made, that he could notice anyway. Damnit, this was not what he needed right now, in a fight which was tiring him out. The enemies all tried to hit him and if it were it not for his shield blocking the blows, would of been hit too. Instead though they all hit the shield and had the force of their blows negated.
