Mari 1 Posted January 21, 2015 #41 Share Posted January 21, 2015 The others started attacking, and whittling away at the beasts health. Mari smiled. This...THIS is what a boss battle should be like, quick, precise attacks in succession. No lulls, no stagnant periods. No uncertainty. Just the thrill of the battle. Mari darted forward. Dagger clutched tightly in hand. She had become very proficient with her blade. It was small, and some had underestimated her. But Mari - she had proven herself time and time again, and this time...it would be no different. She drove the blade into Frosty's leg, dealing a good chunk of damage. The boss was nearing the red. Just a few more hits and it'd be down and out for the count. Battle Dice: 4 +3 = SUCCESS! Perma Roller ID: 7203 Mari 45/45 Frosty The Warlord: 62/
Life 0 Posted January 21, 2015 #42 Share Posted January 21, 2015 Frosty was beginning to let up it seemed. The others were making quick work of his hp, just as L had thought, frosty wasn't as tough as everyone had made him out to be when he had first heard about him. He was overflowing with confidence, this is what he had joined SAO for. He rushed at the boss with immense speed a gleam in his eyes, a crooked smile on his face and doesn't think he can die. He jumped high into the air lunging his arm upwards and brought the machete down hard single handedly on frosty's helmet, a crack running down straight the middle it shattered, the blade leaving a scar across the beasts frostbitten face. A no holds bar blitz fest, everyone was rushing at him at this point, so why shouldn't he. He smirked as he dropped at the feet of the warlord, it staggered back in pain and let out a mighty bellow. Without a further moments notice he jumped back gracefully by the side of the other players, before frosty would unleash his anger. ~Attack success! 10 damage (1 base + 3 enchant + 3 Skill + 1 athletics + 2 crit) ID: 7202 BD: 10 Life: 28/28 Frosty The Warlord: 52/
Rebekah 0 Posted January 21, 2015 #43 Share Posted January 21, 2015 Everyone else around her was quickly finishing off this boss, and she was determined not to slow down the pace. She had not really landed an attack the last few times, and ignored the warlord. Rebekah had always been easily affected in battle, thus she tried her hardest this time to land an attack on the giant frosty. She drove her rapier into the widest part of Frosty's body knowing fully aware the chances of missing are near impossible as there was a big target for her to hit. Daeron 1 Posted January 24, 2015 #44 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Daeron grew annoyed with boredom. As he rushed in, he held his blade ready to strike. The boss being near death was a huge sign for an ending. He hated waiting and this was stgarting to become far too much for him. Ignoring everyone. he neared the boss, ready for a big finish. He swung his weapon with a fury. Unfortunately, his attacks rendered useless and the boss' health hadn't faltered a bit. Kosan 0 Posted January 24, 2015 #45 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Kosan sat and waited for people to attack.. He didn't knew how long it will take for someone to attack. Then he saw a player running at the boss , trying to slice it but inflicting no damage.. He grabbed hold of his sword and rushed in after the player he wasn't familiar with , slicing the boss as well , the warlord taking some damage from it . Then he jumped to a safe distance and waited to attack again. 7504 - BD - 7 Frosty: 38/
Zelrius 0 Posted January 25, 2015 #46 Share Posted January 25, 2015 Zelrius took the chance, he was fully unfrozen and entirely ready to go. It seemed that the fight had become extremely unorganized and a mad frenzied rush to get the final hit. And well that was all fine and Dandy, It could be life threatening to just let all Hell break loose like that, at anytime in a boss fight. Zelrius sighed, He'd bring that up in conversation later, For now they had a Field boss to rid the world of. Zelrius leaped forth, Slicing his Twinfire sword down Frosty's leg and then jumping back, Hoping the last hit wouldn't be stolen after he dealt all the damage. Guest Posted January 29, 2015 #47 Share Posted January 29, 2015 He'd stood there, frozen in thought like an idiot. As the others all threw themselves at the Ice giant, Alkor had fallen to the side and lost himself in the moment. What the snow reminded him of, a time forgotten in his life that made him long for a return to reality. What he saw in Frosty was a barricade, one that separated him from his life. Everyone from all of their lives. So the frost that held him back from within now shattered, the swordsman raced forward at top speed. His weapon lacked a piercing effect, but the system recognized the strength of his blow no less. Pure power emanated from Alkor's avatar as he scored a monstrous hit to help whittle away the boss' health. Life 0 Posted January 29, 2015 #48 Share Posted January 29, 2015 Life smirked at Alkor, he had picked himself up rather hurriedly "Good to see you back on your feet Alkor, i was getting rather worried you had gotten frost bite. heh.. If that's even possible in a game" He twirled his machete and began to pick up the pace, from a slow walk to a full on sprint. The weight of the machete could be felt as it rotated on his palms, handle weaving through his fingers. He built up a large sum of momentum and caught the handle with a firm grip. He stepped his foot down hard into the snow and began to slide swiftly towards the icy warlord, the snow steadily building up and around his legs. His blade went flying across frostys already thoroughly damaged body. A bright burst of blue black and red and the bosses hp dropped dangerously low. He could hear the warlords fearsome bellow in response to his attack as it swung back at the hasty figure. L simply grinned impudently and sheathed his blade grabbing the warlords arm and propelled himself over it's body backflipping beside the rest of the chaotic group; there wasn't much hope left for frosty. The victory was to be given to the warriors of Aincrad. ID: 7813 BD: 10 ~Attack success! 10 damage! (1+3+1+3) +2 perfect crit Life: 28/28 Frosty The Warlord: 6/
Mari 1 Posted January 29, 2015 #49 Share Posted January 29, 2015 Mari turned her eyes to lay on Alkor as she watched him charge, taking a hefty chunk of damage out of the christmas themed beast. She tilted her head to the side. Pink bangs falling delicately over her shoulders. In that moment, that small moment it seemed as though time had slowed. That there wasn't a raging boss who looked suspiciously like a jolly ol' fellow named Santa. There weren't other people frantically fighting for the final blow in the shamble of the fight. There wasn't the harsh winds. It was just her. Her and Alkor. His form, adorned in black was like a shadow, dancing amidst the stark white snow. Torn cape fluttering in the breeze as he landed a deadly precise strike. Amber eyes alight with a fire and passion for battle. Mari's heart tightened in her chest and she found that she was holding her breath as she watched. Hoping, praying that the warlord wouldn't lash out at Alkor. ... And it didn't, Alkor had struck, and landed saftely back amidst the group of players still actively fighting it. Mari breathed a sigh of relief. Shooting Alkor a smile filled with Warmth and pride. The next to attack was her dear friend Life, who was quick - stark blue frame darting toward the Frosty and back again, as though he was a crack of lightning. "My oh my~" Mari chided playfully. "We have so many strong players, Poor lil' ol' Frosty~" It was her turn now. Mari kicked up off the ground. She had to show them what she was capable off, She wanted to show Alkor exactly what she could do..Life...and all the others, she wasn't just a pretty face. She charged full force, as the Frosty tried to land a punch against Mari, she dodged it, leaping up onto his arm and deftly running up it till she reached it's shoulder. As it shifted Mari began to topple over - but not before she rammed her dagger hard into its shoulder. She used it to slow her fall, a large red gash appeared on Frosty, going diagonally from shoulder down to his waist. It gave a horrendous screech. Mari landed safely on the ground, but Frosty wasn't done yet - it staggered too and fro, and it looked as though it was about to fall on the pink haired girl, but before it did - the giant mob shattered into a flurry of data. Mari was breathing heavily now. Eyes wide in shock."Did I just....?" Somehow, against all odds - Mari had landed the final blow. Defeating the Warlord. She didn't want to celebrate any time too soon. She still had her dagger at the ready, waiting for the 'Congratulations' to appear. Battle ID: 7814 - 9 CRITICAL 10 DamageFROSTY 0/200 HP DEAD
Zelrius 0 Posted January 29, 2015 #50 Share Posted January 29, 2015 Zelrius stood and somenly nodded. It seemed this work was done for the day, And he was quite tired of being around so many people he though to have lesser intelligence. With that in mind, Zelrius sheathed his Twinfire sword, Killing the flame and the light that went with it. He dusted himself off, Straightened the bowtie that sat on his neck and cleared his throat. The Blood Buccaneer was really done with it. This was the second time he felt that after such an intense battle, It was all just a waste of time. Much like the Phoenix, This battle served no Purpose other then maybe buff another player. Other then that, This whole ordeal was nothing more then a little get together for players and an enormous time waster. He grunted and looked around at the few he thought as friends, and the many the boy saw as mere annoyances in the world. Zelrius gave his quick speech: "Another Boss Defeated, and Yet we are no closer to our Goal of escape. I am rather disappointed in everyone gathered here, Including myself. These little Battles we have are nothing but utter wastes of time and annoyances. Frosty maybe dead, But He wasn't an Obstacle. This proves just how lazy you all are. Any excuse to stay in here and away from the worries of the free world, right? I will have none of it. I, Zelrius, Blood Buccaneer, Commandant and Council Member of the Azure Brigade, Bid you: Lazy, Weak, and annoying people of Aincrad farewell. Let us hope that we never meet outside a Safe Zone again, Or I'll run you through faster then your head can spin.' With that, Zelrius teleported off the Ninth floor Phoenix City. Frosty The Warlord 0 Posted January 29, 2015 #51 Share Posted January 29, 2015 As the players began to swing away at it's body, the ice coating began to chip away. Piece by piece his armor began to fall and one by one, they kept coming in swinging their weapons as if in a frenzy. The boss wanted to break the onslaught, but the combos were simply too strong at this point. It had no time to react to a single attack before another one came wailing in at the boss yet again. Faster and faster, the health would begin to drop. First Green, then yellow, and red. In no time at all, the health was down to a bare sliver. Perhaps the boss could have done an attack that did it, however, the last player to strike, Mari, managed to deal in the finishing blow. As the health disappeared entirely, so did the boss in a series of blue and white, holographic shards that shimmered away into the sky. Once they had all disappeared and faded away, a series of letters formed in the air above where the boss had stood. "CONGRATULATIONS!" it had said, as a reward for killing the boss. Many of the players that were in this fight had fought long and hard, but in the end, it was the strong who stood tall and proud. Before players, messages were prompting for them to open. Inside of them it had given them a share of the col amount from the boss and some players even had received some items. All Players Receive - 5,000 Col and 3 Skill Points Mari Receives - Black Ice (A weapon that looks as black as the night sky, but feels as cold as Frosty's heart... probably) +1 Damage, +2 Freeze Kosan Receives - Permafrost (A weapon that looks to be coated in ice or even made of ice, but holds some sort of lost power that has yet to be discovered in Aincrad.) +2 Damage, +1 Freeze Rebekah Receives - Unfrozen (A shield that is dropped for the one who is frozen the most as it is their cold destiny to be holding a shield like this that prevents any freezing effects and even has an advantage.) +2 Damage Mitigation, +1 Block, Never Get Freeze Effect Again. Congratulations to all players who've participated. Hopefully you had fun and hopefully you've gained something out of this one way or another.
