[PP-F9] <<Bandit Camp>> (Lessa)

Recommended Posts

Daeron had heard of a new quest that got released. When he was told that it was on the ninth floor, he decided that he didn't want to do it alone, not because he couldn't do it, but because he didn't want to do it alone, plus he wanted to be with Lessa again. Daeron sent Lessa a message requesting if she'd like to join the quest with him. Daeron sent her the location of where they had to meet up.

Having been told that there are four bandits that need to be killed, Daeron was able to see the Bandits off in the distance. When he saw her, this time he didn't hold his glare at her, instead he turned back towards the group of Bandits remaining hidden, trying to scout out the area. When she came near him, he put his finger on her lips to hint to her that she would need to be quiet for a moment. This was the first time Daeron hadn't spoken to Lessa directly since she had arrived.

His message had come out of nowhere, but it had not surprised her. The woman had figured that he would reach out to her at some point, and so his message did not catch her entirely off guard. And truthfully, she found herself delighted by his note. She certainly enjoyed his company, and she had been wondering what he had been up to. Besides, these quests were brand new. Lessa had no idea what they were about, and she figured Daeron was the perfect player to explore them with.

She spotted him from quite a distance away, but he did not make any motion to let her know he spotted her. The woman was dressed for battle, so she made a soft creaking noise with each step. But Daeron stood silent and unmoving. And when she slowed to a halt beside him, he shocked her by pressing a finger to her lips. Her blue eyes widened, but she understood what he was trying to tell her. She gave a slight nod.

Removing his finger from her lips, he leaned his head sideways slightly. "Good to see you again, let's just finish these guys off real quick and then we can catch up alright?" he asked for confirmation, to make sure he wasn't being to demanding. Daeron pulled out his weapon and stood up. When he readied his weapon he realized that the bandits had seen him. Though he could have tried for a whole stealth factor, but instead, he went for the whole rush at them with the attack.

The bandits now alert, they were prepared for combat. Daeron had hoped that Lessa wouldn't pull to much aggro so that she doesn't take too many hits. Approaching the first Bandit with a sprint, he swung his weapon from around his body at the bandit's body. Tearing through some of the clothing of the bandit, it left a red gash where the weapon had cut through. "Take the flank!" Daeron said as he pointed to the right.

As he withdrew his finger, and told her how pleased he was to see her, Lessa gave him a soft smile. Standing beside him, she realized just how nice it was to be with him again too. The past few weeks had been especially turbulent, and it was a welcome relief to be away from those who worked to complicate everything she knew and felt. Regardless of whether or not they knew what they were doing to her, it was taking its toll. The woman needed a break, and Daeron was providing her with one. She could think of no reason not to enjoy herself while she was with him.

Lessa turned to the bandits, and for a brief second, felt herself hesitate. They're just NPCs. she reminded herself, but her hands still shook within her gauntlets. Daeron's sharp command snapped her back to the task at hand, and her face hardened. She would just have to get through it.

Moving around the bandits, the woman lunged toward the nearest one. Her pink blade shimmered under the bright sun of the ninth floor, and her blue eyes followed its arc until it was buried within the bandit's midsection. The bandit was too stunned to respond, and Lessa easily moved out of its range.

Daeron watched as she managed to match the Bandit's Health that she had attacked, to the same amount of health the bandit had which he had attacked. Daeron swung his weapon at the bandit once more, dodging another hit here and there. Unfortunately, in the turn of events, the bandit he was attacking, swung at him at the same time, so it was either he missed, but got hit or he would just take the hit while he hit the enemy.

The attack was a hit, but luckily it was a huge critical, which allowed him to prevent any and all damage taken from this attack from the bandit. Giving Lessa a look at how she's doing, he nodded to make sure that she was still safe. No matter what, Daeron would be willing to fight all four of them if he really needed to just so that he could keep her safe and sound without a scratch.

"If you need help, call me for backup, I'll tank them all so that you don't take damage." Daeron said to Lessa as he continued to hold off the other bandit which he was fighting at the same time.

"Whoa," Lessa breathed as she witnessed Daeron's enormous hit. That must be how it feels to be a level 32, she found herself thinking. I'll be there one day. This thought gave her a boost of courage, and she was a bit more cocky than she had meant to be when she answered Daeron. "Don't worry about me! I'll be fine."

To prove her point, she shoved off her back foot and threw herself toward the action. As she neared the first NPC, she slowed to a halt. The bandit, who would not be duped a second time, squared off against her. The blonde met his gaze, gripped her sword's hilt tighter, and shifted her weight so it was distributed evenly on each foot. She could tell from the NPC's actions that it was preparing to go on the offensive. It would make more sense if she allowed it to come to her instead.

And as the bandit threw itself at her, swinging its blade gracelessly around its head, she bent down onto one knee. Now her form was securely in one place, and as she thrust her blade forward, the enemy's entire weight and momentum rammed Hell Rose deep into his stomach. Her hands glowed within her gauntlets.

Although she seemed confident at her own words, he still worried. He kept hitting off the enemy, but continue to look at her, to make sure she wasn't in trouble. Turning his attention to the Bandit quickly enough to get hit by the bandit because he had focused far too much on Lessa. Luckily, his battle healing had managed to keep up with the damage he has taken.

Daeron ignored the bandit some more, and continued to focus on Lessa, though he should focus on the fight, he just couldn't.

"Careful!" The young swordswoman called out, clearly concerned by the damage Daeron was taking. She watched his battle healing boost his health, but she still worried for him. Despite his high level and enormous amount of health, Lessa hated to see him take damage.

She allowed this anger to carry her toward the bandit once more. Her emotion clouded her blue eyes, but the added accuracy in her gauntlets helped guide her strike to the right place. And as her heavy claymore dropped, she slashed away at the enemy's health. She carved a piece out of his shoulder, then threw herself away from his blind retaliation.

  • 2 weeks later...

Ignoring anything that was happening, he had set his mood so that he could just end this fight. He knew she could handle herself, and it would in fact be easier to protect her by defeating them all as fast as possible. Swinging his weapon at the first of the bandits, Daeron's sword slashed through the air, almost able to make a sharp whistling sound had he swung any faster.

His weapon cut into the torso of the Bandit, dealing more damage to it, and almost defeating it. When the bandit went to return a hit however, Daeron was quick enough to retaliate, allowing him to pass through the motion with ease.
