Graven 0 Posted December 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2014 «Graven» The Purist. Profile» Username: Graven» Real name: Jackson Marshal» Age: 19» Gender: Male» Height: 5' 11"» About: History/personality Most of Jackson's life has been defined by being an only child. When he was young, his father left his mother. His mother worked all the time trying to provide for him and pressuring him heavily to get exceptional grades, saying he was their way out of this life. Jackson never felt much like he was their "hope" of a better life. Being naturally good at most things he attempted, he mostly skated through primary and middle school getting great grades of straight A's with about one to two B's per year on his report cards. In high school, his grades fell slightly to B's and a few A's as he became more involved in MMOs. As Jackson got older, he became obsessed with winning. The harder his mother drove him to be better, the more he dove into gaming, growing into the worst kind of min-maxer. He competed in some low-end tournaments and placed extremely well but never pursued anything higher for fear of failure. Only the future will tell what Jackson makes of himself as Graven, but one fact is sure: it will be great! » Virtues:(Patient). Jackson is quick to look for weakness, to plan perfect strategies, and unlike most, unendingly patient to see perfection to its fruition. The inability to carry out one's plan to succeed exists as the greatest weakness that gamers possess. His perfectionism even overpowers his overconfident, cocky nature, using patience as its primary tool to keep Jackson out of bad situations.(Zeal). Not accepting that there are impossible situations constitutes an unbreakable spirit. Although hesitant to find himself in slanted battles or caught off guard by traps, when a seemingly unbeatable situation arises, Jackson proves the impossible to be probable due to his unflinching nerves and aggressive zeal for battle. This is his proving grounds. (Loyalty). Beneath all callous natures lies a void for companionship. While Jackson may seem rudimentary, his depth hides in deep companionship. Unknowingly looking for an equal, when another finally breaks through the shell of distance and callous that Jackson has constructed, he will be undyingly loyal to them. » Flaws:Reference: http://www.darkworldrpg.com/lore/flaws.html (Overconfident). Very sure of himself and his talents, some might say that living without siblings' quips has given him a rock-solid feeling of self-worth and potential. They would be wrong. Video games have honed him into instincts, potential, and confidence. (Perfectionist). Doing everything to the extreme is a trait others may seek to avoid, but Jackson always seek to do anything worth doing to the best of his abilities. In previous games, this manifested itself in a min-maxer strategy. This extremism can be a huge turn off to most people.(Callous). Jackson's propensity toward getting caught up in strategy and odds seems like merely a flaw but instead has a more double edged nature. When the goal was completely to win, his min-maxing and disregard for saving his team when the goal was in sight often led to victory. However, when Kayaba Akihiko announced the new meaning of permadeath, Jackson decided that Graven was only rarely going to be a group member due to the unreliable nature of other players.
