(F1) Potion Paradise (Alchemy) CLOSED

Recommended Posts

The shop is pretty small, consisting of only two, good sized rooms. The floor is made of beautiful mahogany planks, covered with nice red carpeting, and has many glass display cases for showcasing potions and crystals. The back room is filed with alchemy equipment and is Manta's workshop. At the moment almost everything is covered in dust, and most of the display cases are empty, save for the ones on the counter.

She still needed potions to sell. Who knew when someone might come in to inquire about the new shop and wanted a potion. She quickly got out a new material and repeated the process, tweaking it slightly by adjusting the heat she was using.

Sol enters the shop, a bit of concern from a rumor he heard. "H-hello?" He asked as he looked around. "Do you have any healing potions or crystals?" He asked as he spotted a person behind the counter making something.

Manta walked out of the room holding the rare healing crystal. She was going to put it in the display case, but then the customer asked about healing items. She held it up for him to see. "I have this! It heals 10 points of damage and cost 250 col or 3 materials." She grinned over at him.

Sol smiled upon its status and great value, surely this would be enough for his quest. "I'll take it!" Sol swiped down and began a trade transaction. Swiping over 250 Col to request for the Crystal. "250 col correct? Here we go." He sends off the request with a smile on his face.

Manta accepted the 250 col and handed him the crystal. She felt like maybe she wasnt charging enough by the mans smile, but oh well. "Here you go. Come back again soon!" She called out grinning.

CD: 5 (Bad Item)

Manta worked hard in the back room of her shop, trying to prepare a good inventory to get more customers. It just wasn't going well for her though. She made two bad items. She put them into the mat chest to see if she could salvage them later.

A few minutes later she took all three of the bad items out and started to salvage them. The first one shattered and evaporated into blue shards. She decided to be painstakingly careful with the next one. The next one she almost finished salvaging, but right as she was about to finish it too broke into pieces. All right then. On to the last one. This one shattered into bits almost as soon as she touched it. She looked down at her feet dejectedly. Maybe she wasn't cut out for being an alchemist after all.

Time to try one more time. Manta thought to herself as she got out one of the materials that Arrekusu had kindly donated to her. She used to mortar and pestle to grind it into a dry powder before placing it in her cauldron and stirring. A few stirs later it changed into a good item. Sadly not a crystal, but she got what she got.

The moment I stepped foot in the shop my eyes darted around, this place's decor was amazing. The wooden floor were a beautiful contrast to the red carpet that spread across the room. There were display cases that lined the wall, filled with all different color of potions and different effects. I walked over to a case with a red potion and picked it out carefully. I looked around and called to see if anyone was actually in here. Hello? Anyone home? I need to buy this potion so...

Manta headed into the back of the shop after placing a closed sign on the door. She realized that she needed to work on her stock before actually opening up. She pulled out one of her materials and started to grind it up before putting it in her cauldron and stirring it around. Moments later it transformed into a <<Good>> item. She then got to work on her other material. She was halfway through the grinding process when it randomly formed a bad item. She quickly went over and tried to salvage it as carefully as she could. Miraculously it worked and she got the mat back.

Description: This potion comes in a tiny heart shaped vial. The liquid itself is a bright pink color, but turns clear when mixed with another substance. It is also tasteless. This potion, when used, simulates the feeling of intense love towards the next person seen. Pounding heart, blushing, and physical attraction are a few of the effects of this potion. • 10 months later...

Manta had changed in the time that she had been gone. The weeks of silence from Sousuke, and her abandonment by her friends had left her a much less happy, more cynical person. It couldn't be helped though. She would get through this game, and help as many people as she could in the meantime. She unlocked the door of her shop and entered, wiping dust off of the counter before entering the back room. She had a couple of materials left over from when she had last been there, so she pulled three of them out and set to work making healing potions.

The first attempt turned out very well, forming into a nice red colored potion that restored 15 health. The second potion didn't turn out as well though, turning a murky brown. It looked like some sort of swamp water, right up until it shattered into crystals.

Manta turned the sign on the door to Open, and then made her way to the back room of the shop. The bell on the door would notify her if anyone came in. She didn't have much of a stock, or many materials, but she felt that she was prepared to sell the few potions that she had. Still, she needed to make more and she was almost out of materials. She closed the door to the workroom and pulled out her last two mats. Her first attempt didnt go very well and ended up a weird black sludge. She disposed of it and went to try again.

The second time she felt much more confident. She was getting back into the swing of things, and her material transformed into another red potion, identical to the last one she had made. She looked over her stats and was proud to see that she had ranked up in her profession.

Manta pulled out two more of her materials and started to fiddle with one. She placed it in a mortar and pestle and started to grind it up. She poured it into a pot and started to mix it up. It wasn't going too well, in fact it was going worse than it was better. It ended up turning into a sludge, but when it didn't disappear into blue and green crystals she assumed that while it wasn't usable it was salvageable. She placed the pot over a flame and set it to evaporate while she continued on to her next material. If all went well the liquid would evaporate and a powder would be left. With a bit of work after that she might be able to salvage it. Her next attempt went downhill quickly, and it wasn't long before it burst into crystals. She leaned over to take a look at what was in the pot only to see it burst into crystals as well. Rather than being upset, she just acknowledged the fact that some days were worse than others. She'd just have to try again the next day... If she could get any more mats at least.

Once again Manta had only received just enough materials to craft for that day. Her material hunting the day before had been slightly more successful, and definitely a lot more fun than her earlier one. She had met a friend, and they had hung out for a while, just chatting and discussing strategy. She had also stopped by a merchants shop on the third floor and sold her coat and set of armor. She had received two materials to add to the three that she had gotten hunting, leaving her with five materials total. She walked into the back of the shop and pulled out the three materials she would be using that day.

The first one she started to grind up. Her plan was to make a powder of it and then mix it with some water to create some sort of health potion, but midway into the grinding the item burst into blue and green crystals. She shrugged her failure off though. She had a good feeling about today.

She took the next material and ground it up as well. She had a slightly different plan for this one, and was overjoyed when it turned out perfectly. It was a good quality item, but that was actually what she had been going for. This potion would change the hair color of one person to whatever color they wished, for a single day.

The last material she would be using was a piece of bone from a skeleton she had encountered on the fifth floor. As she had with the others, she ground this up and this up and put it in some boiling water. She stirred it for a bit, and after a couple of minutes she poured it through a piece of cloth and into a crystal bottle. The liquid didn't look all that appetizing, but when she checked the stats she was astounded to see that it was a perfect item. The liquid inside the item was a murky white color.
