(PP-F1) Chocoholic (Manta + Saoant) (Topic Completed)

Manta walked along the road in the starter city, heading to her favorite cafe. They had the best hot chocolate available so far on all the floors. There werent many people there today so Manta just walked up to the counter and ordered her hot chocolate with extra marshmallows. The service was great and they had it ready for within a minute.

Saoant had gotten word of a nifty café, apparently it had great hot chocolate and the food wasn't bad either. He'd gotten lost a couple of times but eventually he got there, when he walked in he found it was a warm and welcoming place, what was even more welcoming was the girl at the counter. He said  "Sixty" under his breath, it was a very high score for somebody he hadn't even spoken to yet. He walked up alongside the girl and said possibly the most cheesy thing in history "Hello there beautiful, are you a thief? Because I think you've just stolen my heart. No matter for you may keep it for I will forever be yours" You could almost see the hearts in his eyes, most people wouldn't be so straight forwards but Saoant was compulsively honest and didn't beat around the bush.

Manta turned around with her cup of hot chocolate grasped in her hand. There was a cute guy there, proffessing his love to her. It was very cute how cheesy it was. She would have played along, but she did already have a boyfriend. "Im gonna have to give it back to you. Im totally accounted for." She smiled at him. "You should keep that line. Trust me, it works."

His advances had been rejected but he didn't mind, it was the kindest rejection he'd had in a while and replied "Well, I guess I kinda need it, you know, pump blood and all that" He figured he might might as well order something, the drink the girl ordered looked nice so he figured he should have the same "Could I have the same as the lady here, I'll pay for both" he realised  he'd been quite rude and said "Where are my manners, my name's Saoant (say-o-ant) but you can call me Aks if you like, what's your name" Names tend to be useful, he couldn't call her babe or love when she had a boyfriend now can he?

"Thank you." She said in reply to him saying he would pay for both. "My names Manta. Nice to meet you." The cashier brought Akios drink out to him. Manta went and selected a nice two person table for them.  "Akios a nice name. Any story behind it?" She asked.

Akio smiled when Manta thanked him, even if he wasn't going to knowingly hit on her it was still nice to have a girl thank you. The cashier was quite speedy and handed him a drink before much else could have happened, the price raised his eyebrows but he paid without a comment, he didn't want Manta to think he was a cheap skate now did he.

 

He moved over to a two person table and she asked about his name "Ah, it's just a nickname I've picked up, probably because it means bright manly hero" he lied, it actually meant that but it was his real name. He was quite curious about Manta's name, he had never met a Manta before "So, what's the story behind your name? It's a lovely name" he felt like adding for a lovely girl at the end but managed to stop himself, just.

"Its really just my real name with a few changed letters. I bet you cant guess what it is!"  She grinned broadly and took a sip of her hot choolate. He would never guess it. This was turning out to be a very fun encounter. "And I think Akio fits you perfectly then. You are very manly."

A look of sheer confusion came across his face, a few letters changed around, there was only a single name he could think of but it couldn't be that. He was still in thought when she complimented him, his face went completely red, he'd spent a life time hitting on girls but one had never called him manly before. Keen to hide his embarrassment he brought his hot chocolate up to his face hoping she wouldn't notice, it was futile of course and he gave up after a few seconds. He decided it was best not to comment on the compliment through fear of making a muppet of himself, instead he answered the earlier question "I have no idea, well, I can think of one name but it can't be, it's a guy's name, Marty" he was surprisingly close, he never once thought of Monty.

She blushed. It was surprisingly close, hed even gotten that it was a guys name. "Really close. Its Monty... Dont ask why please.Its embarrassing and slightly depressing." She thought it was really cute when he blushed at her compliment. She took another sip of her hot chocolate.

Monty! Of course that was another name that would fit, he knew she was actually a girl, if it was any other game he would have questioned it but this was an exception. He nervously drank a bit more of his hot chocolate leaving a chocolate and marshmallow moustache above his lip. He figured he probably would want to know but she didn't want to say so didn't push it "I admit I'm curious but everybody has their secrets and a secret wouldn't be a secret if you told people now would it? Anyway, I heard you're part of a guild, what's it like?" He had a gut feeling she was in the same guild as Jun was which is why he was asking, he'd love to join a guild, it made life a lot easier.

"Oh. It's amazing. My guild leader is a bit strict, but she's not too bad. You get a lot of benefits, like discounts from shops. For example everyone in my guild gets a 50% off all potions I make except common ones. It's a lot of fun too. We have guild meetings every once in a while where we eat food and talk about stuff. I'm assuming you aren't in a guild? You should join ours. Cerulean Silence. I would go so far as to say that we're the best guild around!" She grinned broadly. She was sure that her little speech would make Akio want to join.

Akio could almost hear the pride in the girls voice, he was even more convinced that the Cerulean Silence was the right guild for him. "Sure, I'd love to join, I've been meaning to pm Mari for a day or two now, I'll do it as soon as we've finished our drinks. Oh and one more thing, you said you make potions, do you make love potions? I haven't been having much luck recently, they've either been spoken for or not interested. Don't worry, I'd never use it on a girl with a boyfriend, that's just low!" He was worried he sounded a little too defensive at the end but he didn't want her to get the wrong idea.

"I could make you one. Actually, I have one in my inventory right now. Its probably not what you want though. Also the effects would only be temporary." She swiped her hand in the air, drawing her HUD up and using it to get to her potions. She equipped the Beautiful Loving one. "This makes the person you use it on attracted to everyone around them. Literally everyone. Even the same gender. It also turns them on..." She said this last part uncomfortably. She had been planning on using it on her boyfriend to get him to kiss her.

Akio was only joking so he was amazed to hear she actually had one, when he thought about it the concept made sense. He nodded as she explained and he had a thought "I've always wondered what it would be like to have no compass if you know what I mean, why do you have a potion like that anyway? A beautiful girl like you doesn't need it" he swiftly face palmed and apologised "Sorry, that sounded like I was hitting on you, I'm not seriously" as much as he would like to he wasn't.

"It's fine. And Im planning on either pranking someone with it or using it to get my boyfriend to kiss me. I think he's too timid..." She thought about what she had said for a moment. "Not about most things... I think he just wants to make sure its ok with me, which of course it is, but if he asks it wont be as romantic. You know what I mean? I want my first kiss to be awesome." She took one last sip of her hot chocolate, finishing it up.

Akio was amazed this girl  had never kissed a guy before and he nodded as she explained things, he figured he might as well try to help "You know some guys like girls to make the first move, maybe if you could book a room in an inn, dim the lights, light a few candles. Maybe you could bring some food and drink, sit at a very small table then when it feels right do the kissy face" he felt like a right dork calling it a kissy face but he couldn't think of anyway of saying it. He'd already made himself look like an idiot so he might as well demonstrate the face, he basically closed his eyes and puckered his lips, he went quite red as he did because he felt like a prat.

Manta was slightly confused. What was the kissy face. She was relieved when Akio demonstrated it, but it didn't look like anything she would ever want to do. But she got the gyst. "Do you mean like this?"

She looked down slightly and widened her eyes, puckering her lips out as slightly as possible. All in all it was the most kissable face possible.

Needless to say Akio much preferred Manta's kissy face, he felt himself gravitating towards her but stopped before he got far "Yes, that's perfect, nobody could say no to that face, I mean, even I had physically hold my self back. You know your boyfriend is really lucky right? Even in a cursed death game like this we can find true happiness, and he has more than most, I just hope I can find a girl who loves me as much as you love him" he  looked quite depressed saying this, he didn't want to depress Manta so once again hid behind his drink before draining it dry.

Manta noticed him start to lean towards her like she had a gravity of her own. She was surprised, but that meant it must have worked. "All right then. I think I've got this now." She looked over at Akio who looked depressed. "Hey. You'll find someone. Just keep using that line from before! If you do you'll have all the girls. Seriously. It's the cutest thing I've ever heard. If I wasn't dating already I would have said yes right then and there." She smiled over at him and set her empty cup down before standing up. "Thank you for paying. I'll be seeing you around!"

Akio's spirits were lifted by Manta's praise, he had no idea girls actually liked that cheesy pick up lines, he went red again \when she said it was the cutest thing she heard "Really? Well, thank you it means a lot coming from somebody like you, I'll be seeing you around then, sooner rather than later I hope" he would normally have offered to walk a girl home but he had pressing business, he had to contact Mari and sign up to this guild as soon as possible.
