Sol 0 Posted December 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Sol was standing out in the white blanketed snowy fields of Starglade. With it being nighttime, it was perfect for Sol to try and regain what sanity he lost during his little endeavor. He preyed that would not have to encounter monsters tonight, or anyone for that matter... At least for a while till he regained his thoughts. "...Always... watching." He said to himself, that statement forever engraved in his head. He thought he came over his fear of mirrors and reflections, but this just made things worse. Sol stood in the middle of the clearing staring up at the Sky, watching the snow fall to the ground as flakes hit his face, slowly melting away into water as they touched his face. "...What if... He was right?" He spoke aloud, as if speaking to the sky. "What If I need to do that to free everyone. Is that really the way to help?" "Of Course it is..." Sol's heart skipped a beat, a little worried that he was hearing things. "...No, This game can be beaten. I mean, I promised her... I'd beat this game with her together. And I will protect her no matter what." "So protect her here... Just free her now and get it over with." Sol began to hold himself. "Its Cold... yet..." He looked down at the ground at his own feet, ashamed of what he was thinking. Could he really save everyone like that? "... Why does it feel like I'm being driven to..." He stopped himself. "...What am I saying?" He continued to hold himself and stand in the middle of the clearing.
Destiny 0 Posted December 16, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 16, 2014 “There he is…†She thought to herself. Destiny was perched high up on a tree looking down at her friend. She was pissed. More than pissed, she was worried, anxious, agitated, disturbed, unsettled. All of those words combined couldn’t explain how she felt towards Sol. He had been gone for more than a few days and she was worried sick. “Imma kill him. Imma kill him.†She thought to herself as she watched him . Destiny was high up and ready to strike at him at any moment. She was using her new ability, sprint and acrobatics, to induce a surprise attack. As the snowy wind blew, Destiny’s pigtails wavered in the wind; but she didn’t. Nothing could bother her now, she was a volcano about to erupt.
Sol 0 Posted December 16, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Sol remained there, Motionless. "..." His stance was that of the Sol she knew. There was sorrow lurking around him. "I could... kill..." He muttered under his breath. The chilly wind cutting to the bone. He heard the steps of someone coming up, 'Player?' He slowly turned his head to see the black pigtails flowing in the slight gust of snowy wind. "...Hn... Just you, Need something?" He asked, his voice quiet and eyes showing that he hasn't slept in a while.
Destiny 0 Posted December 16, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Destiny bolted from one tree to the next. She was doing front flips and back flips. She wanted to make sure that she wouldn’t miss. She couldn’t miss. She would never miss. “…†Destiny stared down at Sol. Her eyes were filled with determination and anger. “I’ll make him pay for this…†she thought to herself. Destiny waited until the right moment.
Sol 0 Posted December 16, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Sol turned his whole body to fully face Destiny who approached him at a rather alarming speed, Usually Sol would begin to panic but he remained motionless staring with a bit of a haze over his eyes. "Destiny..." He spoke loud enough to break through the sounds she would make performing her acrobatic maneuvers. "Was I late for something? You look... Mad." Seeing Destiny with that fierce look of determination made him prepare a defensive move, incase she followed through with something. Voices echoed again in his head. "She has come to ask you to free her..." "Do it Bastion... Be a Hero..." Sol narrowed his eyes hearing that voice in his head. He chose to ignore it for now, Maybe she was here because she was worried? Nah, She wouldn't. She is probably here to complain about him being late.
Destiny 0 Posted December 16, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Destiny glared at Sol. When she was within a foot away from him she said, “HEY A*******!†As she moved her body to give him a round house kick. Destiny wanted to make him feel the way he made her feel. She wanted him to feel her pain of how she thought that he died. Destiny stared at Sol. He was dead to her. (Soo... you kind of messed this up a bit for me but oh well)
Sol 0 Posted December 16, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted December 16, 2014 (I can edit if necessary, lemme know.) Sol prepared to defend himself, but not against a roundhouse kick. "GRAH!" He spun and slid across the snow covered ground. "....O-Ow..." He layed there and slowly began to push himself up off the ground. "D-Destiny!? Wh-What did I do!?" He blinked a bit stunned that such a maneuver was executed flawlessly and it actually hurt as well. He slowly came to his feet, holding his head with a throbbing pain, and a slight red footprint on his cheek. "W-was I late for something? I'm Sorry!! He began to plea for mercy. This anger was not something he wanted to experience... ever.
Destiny 0 Posted December 16, 2014 #8 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Destiny just stared at Sol directly in the eyes for a few moments. Destiny slapped him with her right hand. The sound of the contact between her right and Sol’s face echoed for some time. “Late?! LATE?! How about being gone for seven days sound?â€She screamed at him. Destiny took her left hand and smacked the other side of his face with it. "Or having me worried sick about you?" She screamed at him again and then wound up her right hand against to slap him again. "Or making me search up and down for you!" The pattern went on and on, intervals of screaming and slapping. "I didn't sleep for days." Smack. "I haven't eaten in I don't know how long!" Smack. Finally Destiny stopped slapping him and started to feel more saddness than anger. "I thought you died Sol! I THOUGHT YOU DIED!!" Destiny stared at Sol. Her eyes started to fill up with tears but she wouldn't break her gaze at him. "I really thought you died..... I really did...." She started sobbing into her hands.
Sol 0 Posted December 16, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Sol blinked at her, Sharing that silent moment with her. "D-Destiny? A-Are you Oka-" Interrupted by the sting and sound of a harsh, humiliating slap, Sol's eyes widened from the hit to his cheek, It beginning to turn red from the first hit. "S-Sorry, I guess I sho-" Interrupted once again by another painful, anger-filled slap. His cheek was definitely noticeably red now. "You were that wor-" Once again, another slap came across his face, swelling up his cheek as a red grid like hand print appeared on his face. Sol kept receiving the punishment he probably well deserved. Slap, after slap, after slap. Soon she stopped and Sol would hear the words that would hurt him more than any slap, stab, or wound he would ever receive at the time. "You... Thought..." He lowered his head, ashamed that he put one of his closest friends through such trauma. "Destiny... I..." He tried to find the words he wanted to say, but nothing came out. He continued to stare into her eyes that swelled with tears that ran down her face. She then covered her face with her hands, sobbing into them. "...Sorry. Forgive me. I just wanted to try and become stronger for everyone. I don't know what I was thinking..." For once that voice in his head left him alone, Completely indulging in the problem at hand. "I understand if you hate me for this. But I had to do this. Not just for everyone, but for... others as well.
Destiny 0 Posted December 16, 2014 #10 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Destiny shoved him. “How is you disappearing for a week for the greater good?!†She yelled at him. Destiny’s eyes were still pumping out tears. “I really thought you died Sol.. I really did.†She thought to herself. Destiny wanted to punch him in the gut, but she couldn’t so she shoved him again. “Why, Sol? Why.†She said, still whimpering and crying. “Please tell me, why is it that you’re so determined on dying?†Destiny shoved Sol a bit harder this time. “Is it cause you want to die, Sol? Because that would make things better than being here with me and everyone else?!†Destiny shoved him one last time until there was at least two feet separating them. “I just.. I just don’t get you sometimes.†She mumbled.
Sol 0 Posted December 16, 2014 Author #11 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Sol was pushed, stumbling back as he recovered into a standing stance. "... I didn't know I wou-" Sol was shoved once again. "W-Why? W-well.." Once again shoved. "D-Dying? I'm not set on-" Once again. "...." Her statement shot through his heart. Sol gulped trying to think of an answer. "I don't want to die... I want to save... No-... That's not the answer." Sol hushes himself, trying to think of a more reasonable response. This being a hero talk was clearly getting old, and childish. voices began to ring in his ears once again. "See, she hates you now, Hero." "Don't you just want to show her your real solution to everyone's problem now?" "...I'm closer now Bastion." Sol held his head, covering his face with a single palm. "Closer...?" He shook his head and looked at Destiny once again, seeing those tear filled eyes. "...I don't know Destiny. I don't even get myself lately..." Sol let out a pained sigh. "I'm sorry, that's all I do know right now. And It may not be enough... But it's all I got right now." He tried to explain what he felt, but felt as if it came a little short. Sol gulped as he was scared of what words may come out of Destiny's mouth.
Destiny 0 Posted December 16, 2014 #12 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Destiny started wiping her tears on her sleeves, she continued to whimper but she couldn’t develop anymore tears. “I...†whimper. “I just…†whimper. “I just…I really despise you right now, Sol.†She said with clarity. Destiny was shaking; her emotional state had been through so much in the last twenty minutes. “I wish you knew how it felt..†She spat at him, “ It is the worst feeling imaginable.†Destiny took a few steps back. “I don’t want to be here anymore..†she thought to herself. “I can’t..I just can’t be around you.†
Sol 0 Posted December 16, 2014 Author #13 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Sol stared forward, the words she spoke crushed his very heart. "..." Sol began to tear up from those words. "The worst huh?" He wiped away his tears and turned around. The voices going off like bells in a tower, defined and very loud. "Told you Hero." "Look at her, She is begging for her soul to be saved now!" "Take your chance." Sol's heart began to race, as he looked up and into the distance, seeing an imaginary shadow of himself with a murderous grin. He stared at it for quite some time. "Bastion... Do it..." ... ... ... "KILL HER!" Sol bit his lip, attempting to shun out this voice which was turning into urges. "I-I'm sorry to trouble you so much..." Sol closed his eyes avoiding eye contact with that imaginary shadow of his, the fear within him starting to affect his actions. With a Broken heart and near broken mind Sol turns back to Destiny. "Your call. What do you want me to do?" Sol attempts to find one last beacon of salvation in Destiny.
Destiny 0 Posted December 16, 2014 #14 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Destiny watched as Sol turned his back toward her and then turned to face her again. ‘What do you want me to do?’ those words bounced around in her head for a while. Destiny didn’t know what to make of it. Destiny stood there in silence. Her eyes moved the surrounding around them; in search for an answer. She could finally feel the cold air that blew. Destiny glanced at Sol, even though they were only a few feet apart, she had never felt farther away from him. It was as if she was alone and she was fighting herself. “….†Destiny stared at Sol. “It’s up to you what you want to do Sol. I have no power over the decisions that you make, clearly.†She ended the sentenced with a snooty tone. “Why would you leave a decision like that to me.†She thought. Destiny looked down at her feet and thought, “Why can’t he just get it through his thick skull…I care about you, Sol…I really do..†
Sol 0 Posted December 16, 2014 Author #15 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Sol stared at Destiny for some time, waiting for an answer. "Up... to me?" Sol looked down and stared at his own hand, watching the snowflakes touch his skin and melt away into droplets of water. The voices in Sol's head growing more and more persistent. "She hates you so much." "You should show her." "Bastion, can you feel that malice in her voice?" Sol lowered his hand, staring at the ground. "Man, I'm such a coward. I can't even hold the power for my own decisions, Destiny. Sh-should I just go what what my gut tells me?" Sol asked as his head tilted up to stare Destiny down. "You hate me... That's what my gut is telling me. Its saying things I would usually never dare to say to others..." Sol stepped toward Destiny with a strange look in his eye. "Do I listen to it? Or Disobey? Either way, I still hear those voices Destiny... Ever since that stupid quest... That stupid shadow. I hate him... I hate him so much. Like you hate me..." Sol began to make hardly any sense of what he was talking about. Was he finally losing his sanity?
Destiny 0 Posted December 16, 2014 #16 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Destiny listened to what Sol had to say. “Hate you..?†she thought. “I never said I hated you, Sol.. I just said that despise you. Only at that moment, right at that moment.. I despised you.†Destiny was barely able to utter the words out of her mouth. Destiny took a step forward, and looked at Sol directly in the eyes, “I don’t hate you, Sol. Even if I do ever say that, I don’t mean it. Not at all.†Destiny took another step closer, she tilted her head slightly as she asked, “What are the voices telling you, Sol? What is your gut telling you? †Destiny did her best to give him the most genuine smile and tone of voice. She reached out to him with one of her arms, as if to show him that she would be there for him.
Sol 0 Posted December 16, 2014 Author #17 Share Posted December 16, 2014 "She is lying Bastion... are you going to believe her? Why would she just suddenly be all nice to you. She might try to kill you first before you free others, preventing you to become the hero you need to be. " Sol took a step back, clearly fearful of what might happen. Even though he would be safer around her, he worried too much about these voices of his shadow feeding him facts... or was it lies...? "Destiny, Stay back. I'm scared of what may happen. The voice tells me you lie. You're going to kill me. Right? No? Wait... I don't understand. You DESPISE me. Why would you...? I can't." Sol kept muttering on and on, Not making sense of his own words, confusing himself. He drew his Spear and pointed it at Destiny. "Stay Back! I-I just need to figure this out!" She stepped back another step away from her.
Destiny 0 Posted December 16, 2014 #18 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Destiny looked blank faced at Sol. It was high school all over again… “Burning bridges..†she thought to herself. A lump started to form in her throat. “Yepp…†she paused, she felt the overwhelming feeling to cry again. “Yepp. I am going to kill you Sol…†Destiny began to tremble. “It was my plan all along, Sol.†Her voice started to waver. “I only got close to you just to try and kill you.†Destiny could barely utter out the words. They hurt her so much. Destiny looked up at the sky. “It’s so black…and empty..†she thought to herself. Destiny turned around, and said “I despise you, Sol.†Destiny clinched her arms as she walked away. “Clearly, we can’t be around each other anymore….†Destiny took in deep breath and swallowed all the emotion that she had left, she was empty. “I don’t know who you are anymore..†
Sol 0 Posted December 16, 2014 Author #19 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Sol lowered his weapon, dropping it to the ground. "Why...?" Sol stumbled around, then started to laugh, no not laugh, cackle. He was gone, The Sol that was standing there before was now lost in a limbo of his own mind. "...Destiny~" He said with a low voice that seemed to carry towards her in a crazed tone. "Have I ever told you about the other way to get out of this game, I only thought about it a while ago. But its so simple... And I know people will think its crazy. But... How can they prove it?" Sol slowly followed after Destiny, swaying from side to side. "What? Why Am I moving!? N-No! GET AWAY FROM HER!" Sol's thoughts echoed in his own mind, able to see what was happening but unable to act. Sol didn't have a weapon but his intention was clear. That look in his eyes, gave out impending danger to those to looked his way.
Destiny 0 Posted December 16, 2014 #20 Share Posted December 16, 2014 “Sol, go away..†she said “please… just leave me alone.†She thought. Destiny kept her back to Sol. “I don’t want to look at him.. I want nothing to do with him…†she thought to herself. Destiny could hear the crunch of the snow under her feet and she could hear that Sol was following her. “Sol… Please… Just go. … I really want to be alone.†She muttered. Destiny needed time to herself. She had to come to terms that she had just burnt another bridge. She was in the stages of grieving, she lost her best friend it and felt like part of her was missing. Destiny stopped in her tracks. “Sol… I told you to leave… So please.. Go..†
