She grew up with her adoptive mother, Emi, who adopted her when Air was only 2 months old. Air attended a public school but never really got along with the other children and tended to be a loner. She seemed to push everyone away except for her adoptive mother whom she loves very much. The orchard was Air's heaven. She loved the large, colorful, peaceful garden and fruit trees and bushes. Air spent most of her time in the garden reading classic novels. One thing that she loved better than the orchard was the animals who seemed to come to her naturally and not be scared by her. At school boys were always attracted to her and the girls envied her beauty and mysteriousness, though Air simply liked the fact that she could have such a peaceful life and live on a beautiful orchard. When SAO came out Air was instantly attracted to be free, seeing new places and being able to roam around and look at the beautiful places in a new world. Air became a waiter, and up until the day of the release, saved up all of her money. She said, "Link start!" excitedly and couldn't wait to tell her mother about the experience when she logged off in the next few hours. Personality: Air is calm, creative, a loner, and cold/rude. She doesn't like people to be around her and can come off as someone rude when she gets annoyed, which happens often if she wants to be alone. She enjoys writing short stories and poems with meaning that are usually about her own life experiences and feelings. When in arguments or drastic situations she keeps completely calm and thinks out a reasonable strategy. Virtues 1. Peacefulness - Air likes to keep peace between herself and others at all times, though her rude approach towards others doesn't help much. Even though she pushes other people away she still doesn't like turmoil and prefers the world and everyone in it to accept each other and solve arguments with nice conversations, not war. Air herself avoids arguments if she sees one or if she senses one coming on and tries to stop them with reasonable and smart explanations as to why they shouldn't be fighting. 2. Creativity - With all of the free time on her hand and a supportive adoptive mother Air began writing at an extremely young age. She excelled in Language Arts and English classes and even got awarded with money at a few contests she entered her short stories into. All of her writings come from the heart and are about her feelings; they mostly consist of poems or short-stories. 3. Leadership - Because she is serious, calm, mature, and peaceful Air has always made a great leader. People think of her naturally as a good leader and tend to follow her and listen to her ideas. Air, if leading something, makes sure the job gets done and that everyone does her job. 4. Intelligent - Air's natural love of learning new things helped her become the intelligent person she is now. That, and she has an amazing memory and big bran that always wants more in it. She will learn anything she can and pays a lot of attention in school, always putting extra effort into anything she does at all time. Air also tends to think situations, problems and ways to deal with things thoroughly before acting out. Flaws 1. Frail - For as long as she could remember Air was always the smallest and the weakest kid in school. She was never made fun of because she was well-liked but knew what others were thinking. She had to sit out during gym and this is part of the reason why she loves staying in the safety of her orchard so much. She developed talents where she didn't have to move around so much and if she had to made sure to be extra careful. Now Air has muscles but is still rather weak. 2. Mistrusting - During the years Air has developed a trait that makes it hard for her to get close to new people. She thought that because her mother left her that others would soon leave her too if she got close to them and this is why she now pushes people away and is rather hard to talk to and become friend with. 3. Practical - Air is rather mature and dislikes other adults or older teens who act childish. She doesn't hate kids, only people who don't act their own age. Her rule is no-nonsense as she is very serious and calm most of the time and would like it if everyone else could act serious and take things to heart like she does. Although depending on who she's with Air might act a bit childish here and there. 4. Hard - Nobody ever really understands Air when they meet her. She is mysterious to almost everyone and difficult to approach or talk to most of the time. If you do approach her she is cold instantly and is hard to gain trust from. Air is hard hearted and it's a tough barrier to break if you plan to pass it. That is, unless she decides you're worthy of companionship and instantly likes you. She doesn't trust other players and feels that by herself it would be better for her. She kills 1 lizard and gets the hang of fighting, now used to using a one-handed rapier and the game mechanics. Shortly after coming back she finds herself bored once again and ventures for fun, finding a fight going on in an alley, wanting to stop it. Instead she finds herself standing in the shadows, watching. Air only intervenes once and that is when her beloved weapon is unsheathed by someone other than herself. She finds herself annoyed by two players named Arekkusu and Sousuke whom she dislikes immediately. Atma is another player put on her list as avoidable. Kiru, the only other girl around, finds an interest in Air who likes Kiru back and doesn't feel like she is someone annoying like the rest. Eventually Air ends up leaving and goes to teleport to Floor 4 and get some fresh air. She ends up bumping into Tyrius, who like Kiru, she actually enjoys being around. They get in a fight with two weak bandits and one ends up dying by accident, the other bandit has his legs cut off. Air helps Tyrius carry the bandit to an inn and the two watch over him for the night. In the morning Tyrius and Air leave the inn and decide to let the bandit heal on his own. The two set out for something to do and end up talking the day away, eventually becoming "official friends". Air leaves and the next day finds herself with nothing to do... again. She spots someone familiar who ends up coming towards her in the end and they introduce themselves to each other once again; it turns out to be Kiru and Air is delighted that it is.
