» About: Shinex, or Shinji Okuda was an orphan. He ran away at the age of 11 and was found by a nice woman who he will soon call Mom. His mother took him back to the orphanage and adopted him. When Shinji was 17, his mother died in a car accident. He had to live by himself in a cheap apartment. He got two part time jobs in order to pay for his rent. He made some friends as he worked. All his friends were people who had problems. After a couple years of working, he moved in with one of his friends who owned a house. He quit one of the part time jobs so he could have some free time. After living with his friend for a couple of weeks, he learned about MMO video games and started playing with his friend. When he wasn't playing MMO, he was either sleeping, working, or exercising. When Shinex turned 21, his friend gave him a NerveGear and a game called Sword Arts Online as a birthday present. Shinex's friend wasn't that interested in the whole fantasy genre even though Shinex was. Shinex tried out the NerveGear for the first time and received an unwanted surprise.

» Virtues:
 

Speed: Shinex is very fast and agile due to a lot of cardio activities. He's able to outrun most people he comes across. Before playing Sword Arts Online, he decided that he'll try be one of the fastest players because he thinks it'll help him with strikes, dodges, and getting to places faster than others.

Creative: During his life, he would draw a lot which gave him a great imagination. This is due to a lot of free time given to him. He somehow converted his imagination into real life. He makes a lot of predictions that tends to work. This somehow helps him in battles and solving puzzles. His creativity also allows him to remember things clearly.

 

Teamwork: Shinex is willing to accept someone else as a leader. He's not the type that'll argue to be leader. As long as a job gets done, he'll cooperate. This allows less arguments when people are developing a strategy for a certain fight. It also makes a lot of people want Shinex to fight besides them.

 

Calmness (Gained): Ever since he completed Calming of the Soul, Shinex has been able to control his feelings much easier. In certain cases where he’d normally be angry, he’d remain calm. Sometimes he isn’t calm. When that happens, he tries his best to show that he is calm. Shinex is now rarely seen angry.

 

» Flaws:
 

Strength: Shinex isn't the strongest person. He looks strong, but he struggles to lift somebody his size. He makes up for his weak strikes with combos. When parrying, he needs to move around a lot. If he stayed still while parrying, his weapon would be break or fall out of his hand. He has a strong grip, but he can't maintain it if a heavy attack is made. The only way he could parry while standing still is if holding his weapon with both hands.

Relationships: Shinex tries to keep his number of friends limited. The reason why is that he thinks that if he has a lot of friends, chances are he'll lose most of them. In Sword Arts Online, he knew that a lot of people would die. He wanted to avoid his friends to die. Shinex chose to only be acquaintances with most people he comes across. How he chooses his friends is very difficult on him. If he was to spend a lot of time with a player, his temptation would make him friends with the one player.

Secretive: It could be information or items. If Shinex thinks it's dangerous, he'll hide it. It causes a lot of problems because people have trouble trusting Shinex on quests and sometimes battles. If there was a battle that would happen due to not giving out information or an item, Shinex would only back down and give the information or item out if he knows that he can't win the battle. If Shinex thinks there is a chance, he'll risk his life and fight.

 

Laziness (Gained): After spending time in Aincrad, Shinex developed a lazy attitude. He never had a lot of free time in the real world. Sword Art Online gave him tons of time to nap. Shinex took this opportunity to relax as much as he can. However, he’ll be wasting a whole lot of time. The bright side is that he’s only lazy when he’s in a monster free area.
