Daeron 1 Posted January 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2015 As Daeron finally steps up to the task. He's grown a lot since the last time he's seen this monster. He knew that this time, there's no failing or backing down. If he didn't live, then clearly he was too pathetic to be pure again. Kneeling before the statue that stood outside of the Church on the outskirts of the Starter City, Daeron took a breath and said the "oath" of a savior in a Celtic language that he had picked up over time before he joined this game. The statue began to come to life and it drew it's massive weapon. Daeron put a smile on his face and drew his own weapon, knowing he was in for one hell of a fight right now. Repentance 0 Posted January 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2015 The statue began to animate after the player's oath and it drew it's massive stone blade. Wings coming from it's sides to spread out, the player name triggered the quest to activate. "Daeron" the player's name said. Setting it's eyes to a shade of dark red, it was programmed to slaughter any player killers that stood before it. It's wings made of a solid stone, but looking like silver feathers, it used them to hover down to a lower platform. The feminine statue stood tall before the player as it prompted the player if they wanted to accept this quest, Redemption, so that they may become a "Green" player once again. Daeron 1 Posted January 29, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted January 29, 2015 As he witnessed the statue before him, animating at his orange icon's notice. He had accepted the quest. Drawing his weapon, he didn't put a smirk on his face for this one. He knew that this fight will literally change the entire balance of SAO. He wouldn't be one of the toughest PK'ers anymore. He would simply be one of the strongest players in the game at this point. To be honest, he liked it. No killer title to join him, made him really happy. Running in at the boss he swung his blade at the female statue's torso, where he hoped to deal a heavy blow to it with the first attack of the fight. It'd be a shame if he lost to a weak monster. "Come on Daeron... it only has 80 Health, this should be simple." he told himself as he watched his weapon go towards the monster's torso. Repentance 0 Posted January 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2015 The weapon came crashing into it's chest, sending a long red cut along the body already and dipping it's health slightly down already. According to the Cardinal System, 10 hits is all it will take for this player to beat Repentance single-handedly. Redemption lifted it's weapon and sent it down towards the player before her, sending it down with a heavy crash and a dent in the ground. The attack itself isn't meant to hit the player, however, the aftershock of the blade is what typically does the trick to deal some damage. Daeron 1 Posted January 29, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted January 29, 2015 The weapon came down towards Daeron, luckily for his evasion he was able to avoid any incoming damage to him. This fight may turn out easier than it should be for him. That or it was simply because he was such a high level at this point. He could tell based on the parameters of his own and the enemy's health, that he had higher health than his opponent right now. Repentance tried to strike him with something that would catch him off guard, but luckily for him, he was smart enough to get away from that too. Time came around for him to find another opening in the series of fighting that went on right now. If anybody came to watch, players would say he's far too powerful to be fighting this thing and that he may as well become a green player again without having to fight. Either way, he ran in, charging his weapon up for an attack and he was ready to deal a heavy hit, yet again. Repentance 0 Posted January 29, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2015 Repentance was clever enough to avoid an attack as well. Taking off into the sky, using it's wings to take flight, it flew about for a moment. Once it had gotten it's advantage point, it made a nosedive straight down at the player, with it's wings now having a razor sharp edge to them that could kill a low leveled player, or so they say anyways. As Repentance flew down to slash him with her wings, she couldn't tell the aftermath of the attack until she turned around and prepared to fight him on the ground yet again. Daeron 1 Posted January 29, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted January 29, 2015 Daeron felt the hit on him, not from a weapon, but from the wings of her body. They were heavy, and they hit as hard as weapon might, but it was definitely not fun, knowing his armor meant nothing in this fight. Ignoring the damage he had taken, he held his sword ready, and he turned around to once again, face Repentance in the obelisk type stature that she's possessing. He swung his weapon at one of her wings, hoping that perhaps it could cripple her in any way, shape, or form. As Daeron's weapon came in on the body, he could see that it had dealt a lot of damage in a single blow. Repentance 0 Posted January 30, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 30, 2015 As the health of hers began to slowly drop as he did some more damage to her, she leaped into the air and brought down her weapon while coming down to strike the player with a downward strike. It's red eyes with a set goal to kill. Daeron didn't seem to have much damage on him at all, and with his healing factors it would make it especially difficult for Repentance to actually drop him enough damage before he can recover it in a smooth, but swift motion. Daeron 1 Posted January 30, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Daeron was able to foresee Repentance's strike without any troubles and he managed to get out of the way not only in time, but faster than the strike could even be brought down, leaving Repentance open right now. Coming in on Repentance's side, Daeron swung his weapon in a horizontal motion, at the rib cage of the statue that once stood still, but was no seeking to kill him simply for having his orange icon. Repentance 0 Posted January 30, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 30, 2015 As time moved on throughout the length of this battle, Repentance appeared to be falling behind more and more, the longer it lasted. At this rate, Daeron would have her down and defeated before Repentance can even bring him down 10 health. Repentance stood still for a moment, trying to recover from the damage taken. On her side, near her ribs there were now red marks that were evidence of an attack being landed. Taking air once again, Repentance, flew about the skies for a minute or so and then went in on the player again, trying to nosedive him with the blade of her weapon being pointed at him and her wings being stretched out to try and inflict some damage somehow by increasing the range of attack against his odds, making it harder for him to avoid and dodge. Daeron 1 Posted January 30, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted January 30, 2015 Proving that he was far too agile for her attacks to land, he maneuvered past her opportunity to strike. With yet another dodge going in his favor, it had left Repentance open for another turn of damage on her as a fair trade in his mind. Daeron rushed in behind her, trying to slash at one of the wings yet again, trying to see if it has any effect on her combat this time. Daeron packed some heat in this swing and made sure to put a full roar out as his weapon came around at the area he wanted to hit. Repentance 0 Posted February 5, 2015 #12 Share Posted February 5, 2015 Repentance began running out of patience, but showed no falter in her strikes. She elevated off the ground once more, soaring through the air like a plane, but as deadly as a silver sword to a vampire. Feeling the pressure, Daeron watched as Repentance navigated through the sky, looking for a location in which she can strike him without exploiting herself open to him. Daeron stayed calm, showing no concern about his status in this fight as he had full health while Repentance was nearing the halfway mark for her own health status. Swooping down after several minutes of flying, it took only seconds to reach a level where she could strike Daeron from behind. While he had been focusing on something else, she had found an opportunity to come in and soar behind him. Lifting her massive weapon, she swung it with two hands to put all the force into it so that he had no chance of dodging it. Daeron 1 Posted February 5, 2015 Author #13 Share Posted February 5, 2015 Able to tell exactly what she was attempting, Daeron rolled forward, avoiding yet another strike. It was a fast reaction time needed. Had he been a second later, he would have felt one heavy hit to his back. Worried at her incredible speed, Daeron turned back around to face her. Staring at the once still figure that he was no fighting for his old history, he gripped his weapon's hilt with a firm grasp, so that there's no hope in loosing grip on it anytime soon. Rushing in himself now, to strike her from a complete frontal assault, he swung his blade in a diagonal motion, that would go across her breast and down to her hip. As she was still recovering from her last hit, this attack should be easy compared to any of the other ones he's landed, which he has had to work for in a long run. This fight really had the work cut out for him. ID: 8680 Battle Dice: 3 [Miss] Crafting Dice: 12 [Heal 3 HP] Daeron: 76/76 HP Repentance:54/80 HP
Repentance 0 Posted February 5, 2015 #14 Share Posted February 5, 2015 Luckily for Repentance, the brown haired player killer had missed his attack. Taking on a new approach at the player, Repentance's wings began to glow in a white fashion. The feathers on her wings had shifted from a gray color to a silver color and moments later, she shot out silver feather blades towards Daeron's body, where he was standing. Her feathers moved at an incredible speed, making them extremely hard to avoid. However, somehow the player managed to avoid every single one of them with expertise maneuvers that seemed almost unhuman. Daeron, the player killer before her had a huge grin on his face as it seemed like he knew where every single one of them would go. Daeron 1 Posted February 5, 2015 Author #15 Share Posted February 5, 2015 Standing there now, without a scratch upon his body, Daeron kept a heavy grin on his face as he felt like a God at the moment. Of course, this was simply his narcissism taking over, where he knew he stood strong on. Running at Repentance now that she had wasted yet another attack to simply miss, Daeron held his weapon forward almost like a needle about to be sewn throughout a fabric to stitch away a hole. Daeron weaved back and froth, sure to be unscathed by the end of his sprint. Swinging his weapon at the final step before he was near her, he knew that if he hit her, it'd be a heavy hit, not just something easy that would deal minor damage. Repentance 0 Posted February 5, 2015 #16 Share Posted February 5, 2015 The fight had come to yet another standstill, where neither opponent was able to deal a point of damage to one another simply because each target was too fast for the other. Repentance, whom had dodged yet another strike from Daeron, turned quickly to counter against his strike before he could react. Swinging her heavy weapon at the player, she watched it come down to the location she had eyed with her red, hostile glare. Daeron 1 Posted February 5, 2015 Author #17 Share Posted February 5, 2015 Ready for the attack, he reacted before she had hit him again. Making a quick turn as well, he swung his weapon in a counter clockwise fashion so that he could gain the element of surprise on the foe. Daeron was growing weary and bored with this fight so he had wanted this to end fairly quickly, but at this rate, he'd be here all night, until the sun rose above him three nights later. Though that may have been an over exaggeration, Daeron was hoping that Repentance wasn't nearly as clever as he was when it came to fast reaction time in such a short time span. Repentance 0 Posted February 5, 2015 #18 Share Posted February 5, 2015 To Daeron's surprise, not really, she didn't even need a good reaction time as his attack had come short of hitting her entirely. With this leaving him open, Repentance took off into the air, to come back down right away with a vertical strike straight at the player's head, where she could end him fairly quickly if she hit the player hard enough and quick enough. Daeron 1 Posted February 5, 2015 Author #19 Share Posted February 5, 2015 What do you know? Repentance once again, had missed like the past few strikes. Grunting to himself, he was willing to do anything for this fight to end as quickly as possible. He had thought how this fight may be the most drawn out battle in a long time. Especially since it's a fight that he knew could be ended fairly quickly if only he could land a few good hits on the enemy. Daeron recovered from his stagger and his miss and in a good enough amount of time he came at Repentance swinging his weapon in a vertical fashion for a shot near the gut.
