Kojiro Kitagawa, born April 3, was always the anti-social kid with a fascination with fire. Whenever he could at home, he'd strike a match and watch the fire eat away at it, or use a lighter instead and watched it burn. At home and at school, he says nothing, and mostly does nothing as well unless forced to do so because it's a requirement. The only thing that could help him escape was fire, or video games. And then Sword Art Online was announced.

 

Kojiro didn't care about his identity when going into the servers, and kept his true identity when he logged in. But when he was trapped there with so many different people, he realized the situation: kill or be killed. The mirror given to everyone that day had no effect on Kojiro, as his avatar was his own image.

 

Kojiro is anti-social, but will talk to people if it's in his favor or is forced to. Having a fascination with fire, his main motif is fire-based designs for his clothes, even in real life. He has been trained in swords in real life, but now has to learn the combat of this place as well.

» Virtues:
 

Knowlegeable: Kojiro doesn't speak much, which also makes him a really good listener. While in class, Kojiro would never answer questions out loud, which made him exceptionally smart during tests and exams. As such, he was considered a genius of sorts in real life. He applies this knowledgeability in SAO as well, always coming up with answers when needed, and that hasn't really failed him at all.

Quiet: Kojiro doesn't speak, as mentioned before, meaning stealth is always an option for him. He managed to get through school hiding during breaks and hiding in plain sight during class. He could blend into any crowd without anyone noticing, and that's how he prefered it. Of course, hiding at home was not an option, but he enjoyed the quiet he got when he did hide.

Swift: Kojiro was very fast in mostly anything. School work, races, chores, etc. It helped especially when he needed to escape people at school. This also applies in the sense that he's a quick learner, correcting his own mistakes before they got too out of hand. Especially when he learned swordplay in real life. Learning the SAO system will take some time, but will still be able to get around quickly

» Flaws:

Anti-Social: Kojiro has never liked having friends or just interacting with people in general. He prefers to keep to himself most of the time and not draw much attention to himself. While this helps in some aspects, it is still an overall disadvantage for him, especially since he was trapped in the SAO servers. Kojiro knows that he will have to break a few of his own rules if he wants to survive here, and this is a major one.

Judgemental: Kojiro is very judgemental about other people, although he usually keeps it to himself most of the time. However, he always takes the first impressions of someone as false until he sees who they are really. He's still judgemental even then, always criticizing a person's faults. This is something else Kojiro will have to fix if he wants to survive.

Uncaring/Unkind: The biggest flaw Kojiro will have to fix is how uncaring and unkind he is. In real life, if anyone tried to help him or ask for his help, he wouldn't accept it and walk away as if it was nothing. Even if someone was being hurt, he wouldn't care and just keep on walking. He'll have to learn to play nice with others, or else he's already dead.
