[SP-F10] Search For 10

Recommended Posts

Daeron stepped through the doors that led to the new land of the unknown. As he passed through, he didn't see much light. In fact, it was rather dark. Because of his current player killer status, he had appeared outside of the main town. Not knowing it's name would perturb him, but it's something he could always figure out later on. Knowing that it would be best to go into the floor right away to try and find his way through a network of caverns as it appeared, Daeron began his journey.

This would be a good time to look for the room for the boss. This way once they found it, they can scout the boss and then get ready for the next fight. Unsure of what he would witness, he had no clue if he was entering a floor with traps of a sort. Also assuming that because it's a double digit number for the floor now it meant that the boss must be special somehow, or perhaps not.

As he began to make his way through the difficult cavern, he knew it was hard to see. "This is going to affect my A-Game." he said, but he didn't let it bother him too much. Now that the hot floor was gone, he didn't need his robe. It was nice, being able to feel cold again, it was a relaxing feeling to him, reminding himself that he is indeed human. Squinting through the floor, having a harder time navigating than usual, he witnessed a shimmer. Catching his attention, he sprinted towards it.

At the end of the run, he saw a chest before him. Knowing he has first dibs on any loot chests, he reached his hands towards the latch to open it, but before he could even touch it, the chest moved on it's own. Now before Daeron was a new creature to him, a Mimic, a creature that took shape of a easily attracted item, and tricked the person into susception. Once they were fooled, they struck and they would finish off a player. Or that's how it typically worked in most RPG games he had played before he got trapped.

Daeron looked around as he knew the darkness of the floor would make fighting here much tougher, even worse, fighting the boss for this floor. Daeron was ready to slay this monster though. His weapon in his right hand and the enemy before him, he knew exactly what needed to be done. Charging in head on without a battle plan, he knew that this monster's health couldn't be too hard based on the level of his own and the floor. He has a whole 25 Level advantage technically.

Daeron's weapon had taken the monster down to near half health with a single swing. "Oh yeah. Without a doubt, I should be able to find this boss room 100% on my own, or so I hope." he said to himself as he wasn't worried about the mimic one bit. In fact, the mimic hadn't even moved to attack him. Still it stood there, ready for it to be attacked yet again. Running in at it, footstep after footstep he knew that this time, he go for a direct attack head on once again. Swinging his weapon at the monster, he watched it hit the monster's body.

To his own luck however, the damage he took from the monster, didn't matter as his Battle Healing investment made sure to keep him right at maximum HP the entire fight. This fight was free experience as well as a waste of time. "One more hit." he reassured himself so that he could continue looking for the floor 10 boss so that he can get together a scouting party to scout out the boss' attacks and attack patterns.

One more hit. That's all he had to do in order to win this fight. Swinging his weapon, he knew that if he hit the Mimic this time that it'd be an easy kill and he could continue moving on to search for the next boss room. His weapon didn't hold a standard shimmer anymore and he knew he was due for an upgrade on his gear fairly soon as all he had right now was a weapon. He had no form of protection except his mediocre chest piece that wasn't even intended to be used.

However, as he tried to strike the monster, he realized it had given him a false sense of mood. The monster appeared to have no fight left within it, but in the end it had tricked him and now it was fighting back unlike he had expected. Having taken only miniscule amounts of damage, he shrugged it off and went in for the counter strike, before the series of damage began to stack and then that's when that would hurt.

The fight had come to another halt as Daeron dodged past the mimic, while the mimic had done the same. His health hadn't been quick enough to recover, but regardless. Daeron rushed in once more to try and end this fight rather quickly. He had 0 intentions of dragging this fight out longer than it had to be. He'd much rather get it over with, find the boss, tell the others, and start the next raid so that they can clear the game faster.

Daeron finished the fight that moment, however the mimic had let him have a piece of it one last time before it shattered into hundreds of pieces that dispersed throughout the cavern. "Alright, next step. Find the boss." Daeron told himself as he put away his weapon into his sheath and began to venture onward throughout the system to try and find the boss' chambers. Expecting monsters to be lurking just about anywhere, he was prepared for a fight at any second. If he could find the boss' chambers, he knew he could probably clear out those monsters before other players found it so that it isn't nearly as deadly as it once was to find the room.

As he had just began to search through the cavernous floor, he found no luck in seeking the room. He had no clue where it was and to be honest, it was hard to find anything with the darkness throughout the floor. Continuing to move through different room and different systems and networks, he was looking at every nook and cranny in order to find this room.

Daeron searched every part of the walls, the floor, and even the ceiling as he had no clue if the room was hidden or if it was in plain sight. All he knew is he needed to find a large door in order to discover the room permanently on the map. This was also a challenge for him because he wanted to show to his old guild members that he meant only good now, and that he had no intentions of being violent anymore. Daeron truly did want to help clear the game and to make sure everyone gets out of this game alive.
