Reusririasuir 0 Posted February 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2015 One thing I noticed while reading through the guides, is that Low Light and Darkness are treated the same but really, darkness should present a greater visibility penalty. -1 for Low Light seems right, but Darkness should be -2 or maybe even -3 depending on how it plays in testing. By the same logic Sneak and Hide should grant Low Light +2 stealth as it does now, and Darkness a +3 or +4.
??? 0 Posted February 20, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2015 No way. Sorry, but I absolutely hate this idea. Not that it is bad. That could be good for later floors though, such as floor 33 could be classified as a pitch black floor and could have the negative three to all dices penalty as you said. Would you agree? And I also believe night vision should be the thing that helps against that penalty.
Mari 1 Posted February 21, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Floor 10 is in darkness and its near impossible to see anything. All rolls on floor 10 suffer -1 If you do not have night vision :)
Reusririasuir 0 Posted February 22, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted February 22, 2015 It just seems strange to only have the one visibility penalty.
Mari 1 Posted February 22, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 22, 2015 I think many users would complain if you had -3 to all dice rolls as a darkness penalty, as it stands, its -1 to all dice rolls unless otherwise stated on floors/caves/in rooms.
Azide 0 Posted February 22, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 22, 2015 Would that happen to include CD rolls for combat healing?
Zero 0 Posted February 22, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 22, 2015 All dice suffer a penalty at all times.
Crozeph 0 Posted February 22, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 22, 2015 what about critical? from what I remember critical rolls can't be modified, then if it's a floor condition it still is applied?
Rolland 0 Posted February 23, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 23, 2015 Criticals are something that always hits, it can't be stopped by Dice roll counters.
Mari 1 Posted February 23, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 23, 2015 Criticals always hit for their damage wise. However if you have a critical of 9 and something has i unno evasion of 8 it would miss But nothing has that sort of evasion so no worries there ;)
