Mari 1 Posted April 15, 2015 Author #161 Share Posted April 15, 2015 Mari gave him a curt nod and a short wave: "As long as you got the cash, I don't care what you do; or what you ask for. Want a potion to send you to sleep, you got it sweetheart; a potion to make someone love you for a few hours? I can do that too." She gave him a wry grin. "Col makes the world go round. See ya around." And with that, she turned to her crafting table; deciding to finish just a few crafts today; some were better than none. ID 14848 CD: 12 33 Materials remaining.Mari didn't care if the other player was still there or not; she was going to craft up a few items; it was good to see she was still getting decent business, she smirked. Making quick work of a new item. Something she had not yet crafted before; sure she had made a useful potion, but that was weeks ago; months ago even. Now; she had the ability to make crystals; so this time, she made a crystal that helped with her damage. It would be very useful..She didn't place this item in the store, she placed it in her own inventory. Mari did have a potion of the same effect: and instead placed that into her store Name: Sharp Edge III CrystalRank: Perfect Effect: Adds +1 damage for every slot used. This adds 3 damage to your weapon for the duration of the batle Description: This blood-red crystal pulses like a heart! Gross! But when you place it against your weapon, your weapon glows slightly, it feels lighter: and you feel as though you could deal more damage.
Mari 1 Posted April 15, 2015 Author #162 Share Posted April 15, 2015 ID:14851 CD: 4 32 Materials remaining. Mari went straight onto crafting her next piece, however- she hadn't properly cleaned out the Crystal Canister from her previous craft. As it turns out, attempting to craft a recovery crystal right after a damage increase crystal- without cleaning...leads to a big, oily, smelly mess. That is exactly what Mari had. She grimaced as she picked up the Oily Rock, placing it to the side. She would one day, attempt to salvage it for materials, but that day was not today. Name: Oily Rock Rank: Bad QaulityEffect: NoneDescription: It smells like a fast food outlet, and is greasy to the touch. This reminds you of food that is better left uneaten. It's a useless hard rock unavailable for sale. Can only be salvaged for Materials.
Mari 1 Posted April 15, 2015 Author #163 Share Posted April 15, 2015 ID: 14852 CD: 8 31 Materials remaining. After cleaning the mess up from her previous failure Mari got to crafting once again; setting up the crystal canister to create a simple recovery crystal, as Mari was somewhat rusty with her crafting she didn't want to risk wasting the more useful materials, so for now she decided to craft an uncommon recovery crystal. To replace the one that the other player had just bought. She was successful in her craft. She gave a curt nod as she placed it to the side, satisfied with her work. Name: Recovery Crystal I Rank: UncommonEffect: HP Recovery Crystal Heals 5 HP instantly! Mari 1 Posted April 15, 2015 Author #164 Share Posted April 15, 2015 ID: 14854 CD: 11 30 Materials remaining. Now that Mari had finished a uncommon Recovery Crystal she decided to move on up, and work on a Rare ranked one; they did after all; heal a hefty 10 HP. She made quick work of it, Recovery Crystals were an item she crafted all the time. Clear spring water; a special sap, roots from a river weed...all items with healing properties. Mari was a devious character, cold and harsh - it was almost ironic that her most crafted item was one with positive, healing values. Name: Recovery Crystal II Rank: RareEffect: HP Recovery Crystal Heals 10 HP instantly! Mari 1 Posted April 15, 2015 Author #165 Share Posted April 15, 2015 ID: 14855 CD: 2 29 Materials remaining Mari sighed, giving a yawn. It was very late; and she was tired. Mari still rarely got any sleep. Lately, she was lucky if she managed to sleep at all. The last time she had slept well was about a week ago, when Daeron paid an unexpected visit. It was odd, how she managed to gain a decent sleep with him around. Perhaps the two had more in common than Mari first thought. It seemed as though Mari's weariness was affecting her crafting abilities, for what she was working on, exploded; with a loud BANG, Mari coughed, waving the smoke away from her face. Mari 1 Posted April 15, 2015 Author #166 Share Posted April 15, 2015 ID: 14856 CD: 3 28 Materials remaining Mari's eyes watered from the smoke; and her ears were ringing from the loud bang. There was no way she could work in this condition. She grimaced, as she continued to attempt to wave the smoke away and out of her face. She stood up, collecting the crystal she had crafted, and headed over to the locked cabinet. Placing it safely away. She headed to the front of her tent, and opened up the two large flaps, hoping to encourage the smoke to leave her little tent.
Mari 1 Posted May 9, 2015 Author #167 Share Posted May 9, 2015 ID:15560 CD: 7 27 Materials remaining How long had it been since she had come here? Since she had crafted any sort of potion or crystal? Mari wiped the dust off her workbench. Checking her stock she decided to start off with something simple. A truth serum - she quickly and adeptly mixed the ingredients over a low flame. Shadowed blue eyes dull, half lidded as she worked. Her actions almost robotic as she completed it and pushed it to the side. Ready for the next craft. Name: Truth Serum Rank: GoodEffect: The Player who drinks this is unable to lie for the duration of the threadDescription: This vile is filled with a clear liquid that has no taste or smell, however the small label on it states 'Truth Serum - sometimes, lies are kinder than the truth - use with caution' Do you dare use this? Mari 1 Posted May 9, 2015 Author #168 Share Posted May 9, 2015 ID:15561 CD: 4 26 Materials remaining Mari's brow twitched as her next crafting attempt was a failure. Still, it didn't explode in her face. That was something. She was left with a vial of black sludge, something she could attempt to salvage at a later date if she chose, but that date wasn't now. Wordlessly, she placed the vial in a woven basket underneath her bench, with the rest of the salvageable failures. Black SludgeRank: Bad ItemEffect: NoneDescription: Pee-Yew! This stinks! A useless sludge, unavailable for sale. Can only be salvaged for Materials.
Mari 1 Posted May 9, 2015 Author #169 Share Posted May 9, 2015 ID:15562 CD: 1 25 Materials remaining It seemed as though things went from bad to worse; she had made a simple truth serum easily enough, but as she attempted more complicated crafts she found her work sloppy. Out of practise. Of course, she had been gone for nearly a month. her shop abandoned. It was to be expected. "Sloppy" she muttered to herself, wiping the soot from her face with a clean cloth. It was a shame this particular craft exploded.
Mari 1 Posted May 9, 2015 Author #170 Share Posted May 9, 2015 ID: CD:15563 5 24 Materials remaining Back to basics, it seemed to be the right way to go; Mari pushed aside a few other items- and started working on a salve. Mari made various items that bewitched the mind, she'd be a fool not to make something to counter that - if she were to fall under the effects of her own potions again. She'd be able to quickly recover. Mari would not have another incident similar to what occurred on the 4th floor. Name: Soothing Salve Rank: GoodEffect: Under the influence of one of Mari's concoctions? Have no fear; this minty, soothing salve will cure all that ails you. If you drink this quick enough it stops the effects of Mari's potions. It also cures any curses that may have been drunk by a player. What a relief!
Mari 1 Posted May 9, 2015 Author #171 Share Posted May 9, 2015 ID: 15564 CD: 12 23 Materials remaining It was about time, Mari - after such futile attempts...finally seemed to be back into the swing of things. she cracked her neck, before rubbing the back of it gingerly. She set a ruby red crystal into its holder, and started infusing it with various toxins and herbs - it gave a faint glow, and slowly started to pulse as though it was alive. A small, satisfied smirk fell upon the pink haired woman's lips. As she completed the craft. A crystal; which would grant her, or a lucky customer the ability to strengthen their attack. Mari 1 Posted May 9, 2015 Author #172 Share Posted May 9, 2015 ID:15565 CD: 10 22 Materials remaining Mari was stubborn, if not determined. Pushing through adversaries and odds stacked against her. Her crafting was no different. She was not one to give up after a few failed attempts, and she had such spoils to show for it. Mari deftly placed the pulsing red crystal to the side and began work on another. This time, a soothing blue crystal - one that had quite the opposite nature, one to heal and remedy wounds. Rather than inflict them. "Done." Mari said, and it was true. There were no more crafts left for today. Mari 1 Posted May 11, 2015 Author #173 Share Posted May 11, 2015 ID:15646 CD: 5 21 Materials remaining Mari sat down at her Alchemic workstation; giving it a quick wipe over. She would start small, with a basic truth serum - she wanted to stock up. With this craft, she would have about 5 in stock. With that, she would be able to move onto her next inventory item. Mari gave a satisfied sigh, as she mixed the different liquids and ingredients together, over a bubbling mini cauldron. Every so often stirring it. The pink haired Alchemist then ground up some herbs, placing them into the bubbling vat. It was followed by a puff of smoke - creating a successful serum. One craft down, 5 to go. Mari 1 Posted May 11, 2015 Author #174 Share Posted May 11, 2015 ID:15647 CD: 3 20 Materials remaining Mari put the vial of truth serum to the side. Pursing her lips she looked at her inventory. Damn...she miscounted. She still needed another vial of truth serum to hit 5. still, it was a quick fix. Mari - mildly frustrated quickly and carelessly started chucking ingredients into her mini cauldron. She was careless enough to allow the cauldron to boil over - it exploded in a cloud of thick, black smoke. Mari coughed as she tried to wave it away. What a failure... Mari 1 Posted May 11, 2015 Author #175 Share Posted May 11, 2015 ID: 15648 CD: 7 19 Materials remaining Mari grumbled. She was, for lack of a better word. Pissed. She was angry at her carelessness - she had a habit of easily loosing her cool. Mari stood up, grabbing the Truth Serum - she placed it into the cabinet with the other Miscellaneous Oddities before grabbing a clean cloth and sitting back at the table. She wiped it down and disposed of the cloth. The tasks helped calm her down enough to get back to crafting, and crafting she did- She easily finished the last truth serum to set her stock level at 5. She placed it to the side. Now, what else to do.... Mari 1 Posted May 11, 2015 Author #176 Share Posted May 11, 2015 ID:15649 CD: 7 18 Materials remaining Onto the next item in her stock list - Calming Honey... an item that seems to be quite a ....popular sale. An item she wouldn't be able to screw up crafting. Setting the heat to low - she added the liquid honey from the depths of a wailing forest, and the wings of a yellow butterfly. Now - she had 5 in stock again. It was an intriguing item that affected different people in different ways. A small smirk fell on her face as she held up the vial to the flickering light of her tent, twirling the thick, golden vial in her hand. "My lil' Money Maker." She whispered as she placed it to the side. She had two crafting attempts left for the day. Name: Calming HoneyRank: GoodEffect: This liquid helps soothe uneasy feelings. Feelings of doubt, sadness and fear. If you drink it you will feel calm and strangely content. This lasts for 10 posts. As you drink it you feel very warm and calm. There is a small warning label on the side; that says that it is an addictive substance, but how can that be true?
Mari 1 Posted May 11, 2015 Author #177 Share Posted May 11, 2015 ID: 15670 CD: 1 17 Materials remaining Mari gave a frustrated sigh, as another crafting attempt failed today. That was two fails in one day....just what was with her today? This was getting old...fast..Mari was rarely in a good mood, even at the best of times, and this - was definitely not the best of times. Admittedly, it wasn't the worst of times either, but it was still pretty frustrating. Mari leaned forward- resting her head on the messy ash that was once a perfectly good crystal. She gave out a groan. And sat there in silence for 10 minutes, closing her eyes. Finally, she sat up. Deciding that she may as well get to her last craft for the day. Mari 1 Posted May 11, 2015 Author #178 Share Posted May 11, 2015 ID:15671 CD: 8 16 Materials remaining Mari wanted to end the day with a bang, and not a literal bang like minutes earlier, a figurative bang. No...she wanted to craft something more...useful. She decided to get down to basics and craft an Antidote Potion. Mari thought about these potions for a long time, and come ot think of it...they were incredibly powerful. Even the Uncommon ranked ones, could essentially save you from being paralysed or suffering any sort of negative effect. If she were to craft a Perfect qauility one, in battle - it would negate the next 3 instances of status ailments. In a battle against a boss which has the possibility of inflicting burn damage or poison damage every turn, it was beyond useful. The gears were working in Mari's brain. If she made perfect qaulity antidotes... and Crystalized them...they'd be very, very overpowered. They'd be very, very useful. And Very, very pricey. And Mari, just so happened to be one of the only Alchemists of her calibre around. Mari grinned as she got to work, she was hoping for a perfect quality antidote, but wound up with an uncommon one. Not the best outcome, but surely not the worst. Name: Antidote PotionAlchemist Rank: 5 ID: 15671 CD: 8 Item Quality: UncommonEffect: Each Slot Will negate the next effect of Burn/Poison/Paralyze/Bleed. This works as a counter to status ailments of these types. Drink it and the next time one of the ailments will affect you, that effect is negated. This takes a post action. This negates the next (1) instance of a status ailment. Description: This light pink potion is a sweet, rose like scent and taste. Yum! As you drink it you find yourself feeling more energetic, you feel as though nothing can stop you!
Calrex 0 Posted May 12, 2015 #179 Share Posted May 12, 2015 "Man, it's been a while since I've stopped in here..." The front of the tent opened as a man clad in deep-sea blue full-body armor entered in. After a couple of swipes on his menu the armor switched out to Calrex's casual combat clothes as he walked over to the counter, "Hey Mari, long time no see. I've got your material request here." He swiped again on his menu, the bag of materials appearing on the counter as he gave a friendly smile. "I think I remember the PM saying that she wanted to discuss something about this, but I can't remember off hand." After doing so he began to meander about the different selections as he did once before, seeing if there was anything new or interesting on the shelves. Mari 1 Posted May 17, 2015 Author #180 Share Posted May 17, 2015 + 15 Materials 31 Total Materials Mari's eyes flicked up as she noticed Calrex walk into her store. He was wearing different armour to what he had since she last saw him. He now wore a full set of armour, with a deep blue hue. Similar to the depths of an ocean. Or a dense sapphire. The look only lasted mere moments before he switched back to something more casual. She gave him a small nod. "so it seems." She said as she took the materials. Rather than leave straight away, Calrex lingered, perusing her wares. "Anything interest you?" she asked.
