Born on February 24, 2005, Syo was born in Kawagoe City in Saitama prefecture by himself. He wasn't the type of person to rely on anyone, but he has many flaws that would render him useless without the help of others. Syo was always by himself and he has always been for the last seven years. He was able to learn to fend for himself, because he didn't have parents to show him "the way of life." Syo wasn't the most social person at school, nor was he active. He almost never shows up to school at all and fails to try to attend. Syo is intelligent, but every teenager needs to go to school, but he finds school unnecessary. Sometimes he would get harassed at school, because of how he is. His escape from reality.. Is Virtual Reality. Syo was able to save up enough money to purchase a NerveGear and a copy of Sword Art Online, but when he was going to ask about the game, the vendor vanished. The last thing on Syo's mind was escaping reality and he said those two final words, "Link Start!"

✯Commitment✯

Syo will always stick to a task to the very end, because when the going gets tough, the tough get going. He will never stop making mistakes, because of how committed he is to a task, but mistakes are proof that you are trying. The greatest pleasure in life for Syo is doing what people say he cannot do. Syo wants to prove to everyone that he could still be a somebody without parents of his own. He was able to take care of himself like everyone else, because he was committed to do so.

✯Forgiveness✯

Syo ceases to feel angry or bitter towards anyone or about an offense. The past is the past and there is no such thing as turning back time, because you have to move on in order to achieve your goals. Syo would never show any sign of anger towards anyone, unless they do something that is unforgivable. There are times when people break the "code of humanity" and if people do the wrong thing, Syo would lose this virtue in a snap of a finger.

✯Zeal✯

Syo always has a feeling of strong eagerness, Tireless devotion. Ever since he fell into the world of Virtual Realtiy, he has been eager to see what's in store for him. There are times when you shouldn't feel eager about things, but Syo is optimistic and will try to find the good in any bad situation. He would never work in a bad environment, but when things get rough, Syo would be the one to get rid of the negative feelings as soon as possible. There will be times when things are bad, but what's the use of being sad about the past?

» Flaws:

☢Absentminded☢

Syo is always preoccupied to the extent of being unaware of his surroundings. Abstracted, daydreaming, inattentive, oblivious, or forgetful. When he heads to work, he would sometimes wander around Kawagoe City, but always find his way to work. (Late though.) There are times when Syo might get into a few accidents here and there, but his mind is always in the right place when he's serious. Syo is always finding himself in a park, but it doesn't seem to phase him as he falls into patches of flowers. (Like the image above.) It doesn't hurt to have someone helping him out here and there.

☢Fools Love☢

Syo is the time of boy to fall in love with a girl instantly. Why? He was always alone when he was a child and always needs a person to comfort him. Many have taken advantage of him and sometimes he would always shut himself in. Syo would always trust anyone, whether you look innocent or not. He's the type of person who is always falling in love or believes he's in love, for the wrong person or even multiple people (generally one after the other), and typically love at first sight. Star-crossed, or ill-fated-love.

☢Gullible☢

Syo will believe any information given, regardless of how valid or truthful it is, easily deceived or duped. This causes multiple of issues during his time in reality, because he would trust those people who would harass him and in the end, he would regret it. This will always be a major flaw for Syo, but sometimes being gullible would help build a strange bond with someone else who is also gullible.

Ark 1: The Beginning

When Syo first arrives on Aincrad, he ventures into the Grassyfields and finds himself almost at the point of death. He is labeled as The Blue Corsair of Aincrad. Still weak, he heads back into the Grassyfields to train on Frenzy Boars. He finishes his grinding on the Frenzy Boars and reached level 5. Syo finds himself with Mari, the Leader of Cerulean Silence.
