As Warnik rushed in to strike Calrex gave a calming sigh as he decided to shadow Warnik, keeping his sword at the ready as he followed behind. As Warnik brought his mace down Calrex tried to use the forced movement of the boar to try and lead it into a strike on his part. Unfortunately his strike flew clear of the mark as Calrex slid past the boar, turning to face the target, giving another calming breath, "Shoot, it looks like my strikes are flying off right now. Hopefully Riksis and Warnik are going to have better luck striking."

 

"Alright Riksis you're up. This one seems to be more spry than the last ones."

It looked like the black boar was way more agile than the normal brown boars. Only Warnik had been able to land a hit on it with his mace. Riksis seeked to even the score. The boar had Warnik in it's sights, shifting it's body weight to charge at him. Riksis positioned himself close to Warnik but at the side of the boar, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. The boar let loose a roar and charged at his companion, set on killing him. Before the boar could land the hit Riksis delivered a shield blow to the flank of the boar, driving it into the ground squirming. He followed up by stabbing it in it's underbelly, a critical hit.

Calrex missed his attack, which resulted in the boar dodging his blade swing. He had missed, but the momentary distraction helped Riksis to get an impressive hit in on the boar that brought it's HP gauge half way down before it could approach Warnik and land an attack. Warnik nodded in thanks, after Riksis came by and knocked the boar backwards with his shield, and impaled it with his spear. He seemed to be getting the hang of his new fighting style.

Warnik didn't waste any time after Riksis sent the boar to the ground, and squealed in pain. Once it had showed signs of rising from the ground, he immediately rushed in and brought his heavy mace down onto the boar's head. Warnik must've hit a harder part of the boar's skull, because his weapon simply bounced off, and did only minor damage. "Ooof." He recoiled back, after landing his strike. Though he didn't do much damage, Warnik was glad that he managed to land a hit, as he went back to a safe distance.

As Riksis nad Warnik both managed to get some connecting blows against the boar Calrex gave a smirk as he rushed forward, planning to connect a strike as well. Unfortunately as he got close Warnik's rebound from the mace swung close to his head as he ducked. It wasn't a hindrance, but the resulting reaction made him have to sacrifice his opening to prevent any accidental friendly fire.

 

Calrex gave a few flips to get some distance between him and teh boar, this time on the other side from his two compatriots, forming a triangle between the three of them. "Nice work you two. A strike or two should finish it off."

 

"They've certainly gotten into their own swing of things when it comes to combat. Riksis is definitely getting the hang of his new spear and shield style, and Warnik has gotten used to the weight of his mace. Both will make fine players as they get stronger."

 

Calrex gave a calming sigh as he resheathed his sword, punching his fists together, preparing to engage the boar in hand-to-hand combat should his turn come once again.

Calrex had missed his shot at the boar, it's health was one attack away from being in the red zone. One big attack could end the beast and the party could get back to the city for some must needed R&R. Riksis readied his spear, leveling it on top of his shield. The aimed it at the boar's center of mass, intent on scoring another kill to add to his belt. He let the spear go, it looked to be ready to skewer the beasts hind leg but it moved at the last second. He quickly redrew his spear to it's previous position, circling the creature for another opening. 

 

Warnik's last attack seemed to infuriate the boar to a frenzy as his squealed and wailed around. With all of it's might it stabbed at Warnik, landing a critical hit. 'He should have dodged', though Riksis. Readying his spear for another trust.
