Atticus Smyth 0 Posted March 7, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 7, 2015 This might be a dumb question, but what's the difference between an npc versus a play character that doesn't have an account? Below is what was posted in the player killing status announcement thread. #2 - Killing floor NPC's (shopkeepers, etc..) doesn't count #3 - Killing PC's (fictional players that don't have accounts here) that aren't real does count
Mari 1 Posted March 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2015 a NPC is a NON PLAYER CHARACTER so they are just game data. a PC is a PLAYER CHARACTER; another entire character you develop for the RP :) But for all RP purposes they are another actual player using the software and are stuck in the game. But at your level I would not recommend becoming a PKer.
Atticus Smyth 0 Posted March 7, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted March 7, 2015 At this point in time I don't have any interest in becoming a pk'er, just wanted some clarification. So in other words, you wouldn't have to create another character entirely, in the sense of making another journal?
Mari 1 Posted March 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 7, 2015 At this stage no you wouldn't have to.

Baldur 0 Posted March 7, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 7, 2015 Yea, it gets a bit weird in SAO, because you have NPC - a character controlled by the Cardinal System NPC PC - an NPC that is a player trapped in the world just like you, but isn't controlled by an IRL person PC - a player character that is controlled by an IRL player

The NPC PC thing was what I was getting hung up on.
