  1. 1. How would you like light and heavy armor?

    • Light and heavy armor can be created by both tailors and blacksmiths

May I ask why the third option was deemed "unfair?"

Anyways, to make it more "fair" I changed my vote to the second one.

I do not see how tailors can craft with heavy stuff.

I do see how blacksmiths may craft both, because metal comes in different shapes and sizes.

It was unfair because it was saying:
Hey Blacksmiths can work with both light and heavy armor but tailors cant.

It was literally doubling the blacksmiths clientèle; and halving tailors clientèle

It has been pointed out very clearly in this thread the differences between light and heavy armor. I strongly suggest re-reading the thread and then you should clearly understand why the decision was made :)

I decided not to post here because I thought people might consider me biased by the fact that Ariel is a tailor, but now seriously? have ever..EVER heard of blacksmiths sewing silk items or tanning leather??? I mean srsly, they are covered in coal from all the metal working, its pretty time consuming to temper metals and shape them. Here's an example from cannon:

In SAO LN volume 10: Alicization Running, Sadore, the blacksmith tasked with carving the top branch of the Gigas Cider tree into a sword, took

A WHOLE YEAR to make Kirito's sword! rendering 6 high grade tools useless ("black Corengan whetstone"), items that should have lasted him 3 years with normal use, each. (yes! he didn't forge it, he crafted it but that's not the point).

Anyway, since that's out of the way I anxiously await the new update.

Ariel, they're not talking about making blacksmith light armor with leather. They're talking about using 'light metal' to make 'light armor' but it just isn't possible. With all the historical reenactments I do, there's NO SUCH THING as light metal armor. That stuff is heavy. I think you just misunderstood what they were getting at.

I'm glad option 3 was taken out, and glad that it was noticed with the alt accounts. It was perplexing to see that many votes on something everyone seems so blatantly against. And, of course, i'm glad to see the differentiation winning. This adds a lot more depth to what players choose for their professions and they'll actually have to plan out their sets, versus just throwing anything into their shop. I assume most people that aren't building any extra mitigation will probably go for leather armors, while putting the evasion on a shield if they're one handed (Or a trinket) plus their weapon for damage. if they're a two handed weapon, they'll either go for heavy or light depending on what they're going for, with a trinket to make up for their accuracy/evasion.

This also puts a heavier emphasis on skill points and what to take. Are there any plans to let people re-config their skill points to reflect the new armor changes?

The armors should be separated in order to give more balance to the already unbalanced system. As the previous points mentioned before to allow blacksmiths to do both would be very ridiculous to say the least. One of the very first things I noticed about this site is that things are fair even if a bit difficult. If a high level blacksmith able to make anything started to create light armor too. The Taylor's would have a tough time selling anything. Not to mention every time a noob logs on they would want to be a blacksmith too.

[sry bad english]i have a idea how about that both can make light and heavy armor but they should allowed create so starter armor(i mean with ''starter armor'' that both can create it) that both can make and special armor too that only each(blacksmith or Tailor) can make
