Skylar 0 Posted March 12, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 12, 2015 He was lonely. To be honest Skylar felt lonely very often. People here are always very nice but trying to survive all the time made it a bit harder to make friends. A few days ago an old hag told him to try feeding the animals to make a friend. He brought some noodles from butterfly bakery and heated them up. He was just a bit too scared to actually try and feed one though. Besides he wanted to get out of this snow before he froze too death. Collecting crystals earlier made him a bit tired, which was not very good. If he was not so tired he probably would have noticed the growling sound more earlier.
Skylar 0 Posted March 12, 2015 Author #2 Share Posted March 12, 2015 ID:12556 MD:3 *Swing* That was the sound he noticed at the last second that kept him from being decapitated. He dropped to the floor and rolled as a blade barely passed his head. "See this is why I was trying to leave earlier! As soon as I try to head back I get this." It was a snow lizard runner low level but in groups they could be deadly Skylar had to finish this as soon as he could if he wanted to live. The lizard runner was staring down Skylar as if he could not wait to rip him to shreds. S.Lizard Runner HP: 10/
Skylar 0 Posted March 12, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted March 12, 2015 ID: 12558 BD: 2 Skylar took a running start at the frozen wannabe dragon. He jumped bringing his right leg around in a whip like motion. The lizard runner was not bad either it brought it's spear arm up to block it. Which made Skylar very upset. Humanoid monsters are harder to fight sense they can display various level of intelligence. This thing was apparently familiar with the rules of combat and had no problem fighting. Skylar 0 Posted March 12, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted March 12, 2015 This lizard was also determined to make sure Skylar reached the end of his days The lizard brandished the spear and swung like it was a baseball bat. Skylar was fast enough to avoid the point but not enough for the middle rod part to whack him. He watched his health bar drop as the two damage he took got too him. This would be the hardest battle he has ever faced so far. ID: 12559 MD: 9 S.Lizard Runner HP: 10/
Skylar 0 Posted March 12, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted March 12, 2015 The swing hurt but Skylar stood back up. He would not allow himself to die in the middle of a freaking video game, especially if he died permanently in real life. He was still within range of the spear and moved forward for an open palm strike to the rib cage. The attack was successful and caused the beast to back up in pain a little. "Yeah come on. Get a taste of my kung fu fists of justice!" Skylar was only taunting a bit. ID: 12560 BD: 7 Skylar's HP: 13/
Skylar 0 Posted March 12, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Apparently monster could not take a joke to well. As it tried to impale Skylar on the edge of the spear. Skylar lifted his right right arm and turned his wrist in a slow twisting motion. It was a tai chi technique he learned for redirection. The spear missed the target by a few inches and landed in the snow. ID: 12562 MD: 5 S.L.R HP: 8/
Skylar 0 Posted March 12, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted March 12, 2015 With the spear tip in the snow and the lizard right in front of him. Skylar brought his foot up in a straight snap shot kick to the face. The lizard moved it's head to the side missing the kick by a narrow margin. This close up Skylar could see the muscly build of the monster and the very sharp teeth. It even had a stench to it which must be very bad, if Skylar was able to smell it over the frost bite covering his nose. ID: 12563 BD: 4 Skylar's HP: 13/
Skylar 0 Posted March 12, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Skylar was not expecting the next attack. Instead of attacking with the spear the beast lunged forward with his mouth and bit him. Skylar has experienced pain before but never like this. It was like the darn thing wanted to take his arm off. Which Skylar wondered if was actually possible. If you some how lost an arm here would you wake up and have a paralyzed arm? But oh boy did it hurt, ID: 12564 MD: 9 S.L.R HP: 8/
Skylar 0 Posted March 12, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted March 12, 2015 The shock of being bitten almost stopped him in his tracks. Still he returned with an upper cut that still missed the thing. On an up note he felt himself heal a bit automatically which was a good sign. ID: 12566 BD: 3 CD: 12 (+1 HP) Skylar's HP: 12/
Skylar 0 Posted March 12, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Skylar thought he was ready and backed up. The Snow Lizard Runner turned around and smashed Skylar with the tail sending him flying backwards. Into a little snow drift. This thing knew how to fight as if it was trained by the military. Definitely not something he would want to run into in groups. ID: 12567 MD: 10 (2 dmg) S.L.R HP:8/
Skylar 0 Posted March 12, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Skylar got up and brushed himself off. He made a move but stopped feeling a bit fatigued. This battle was taking a toll on him and it did not look good. He felt a slight pip as he healed up a bit. His battle healing would be the only thing keeping him alive right now. Instead of fighting he got out a crystal. "I am here for something first" he dropped the crystal letting the music out and into the world. It grew louder covering the sound of the piercing wind. ID: 12570 BD: 3 CD: 11 (+1) Skylar's HP: 11/15 Item used: Resonance; +1 too the LD for the rest of this quest.
Skylar 0 Posted March 12, 2015 Author #12 Share Posted March 12, 2015 While Skylar was distracted the Lizard took this time to strike. It was not a pushover by far and it knew when to strike. Skylar barely managed to leap out of the to avoid most of the damage, that would have decimated him. ID:12573 MD: 8 (1 dmg) S.L.R: 8/
Skylar 0 Posted March 12, 2015 Author #13 Share Posted March 12, 2015 "Arrghhh! Blaahh!" Skylar was getting pretty pissed. He kept getting hurt. So he focused, he imagined the spot he wanted to hit and rushed for it. Doing a straight punch. He crushed the spear of the annoying gnat, pushing through he continued to punch it straight in the chest. ID: 12575 BD: 10 (4 damage) Skylar's HP: 10/
Skylar 0 Posted March 12, 2015 Author #14 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Skylar was ready for the next attack. After punching he stepped back and squatted to have better control of his center of gravity. The Lizard snow runner threw down the spear parts and lunged at his throat with his teeth. He turned on his heel and dodged the razor maw by a narrow margin. ID: 12576 MD: 2 (miss) S.L.R HP:4/
Skylar 0 Posted March 13, 2015 Author #15 Share Posted March 13, 2015 Skylar had to admit the chance of dying kind of made this exciting. In the training hall if you were unable to fight you would just be knocked unconscious. Here death added the sense of realism. You only have one life in the real world, here it was the same. Still after Skylar barely dodged the deadly maw. He returned with a straight punch to the face. The lizard easily backed up and out of the range of the fist. Skylar 0 Posted March 14, 2015 Author #16 Share Posted March 14, 2015 These overgrown lizards are an annoying and a persistent bunch. The Snow lizard runner had claws. Something you generally wanted to avoid during a fight, unless you wanted to lose a limb. The Snow runner eyed Skylar to death. Apparently this would be the last stand, it ran towards Skylar in a velociraptor type motion. ID: 12640 MD: 3 S.L.R HP: 4/

Skylar 0 Posted March 14, 2015 Author #18 Share Posted March 14, 2015 "Huff" Skylar stood there panting from that strenuous battle. Fighting one monster took a heavy toll on him alone. The freezing weather did not help much either. He reached into his back and pulled out some noodles he brought and heated up earlier. He had to take a break the snow and the battle was getting to him. He sat and started to munch on his warm food, keeping a very close eye on his surroundings. The only thing that told him something was approaching were a pair of sparkling blue eyes.
Skylar 0 Posted March 14, 2015 Author #19 Share Posted March 14, 2015 A low growl was escaping the creature that was staring at Skylar. It slowly walked forward keeping his eyes on him. Skylar made sure too keep his eyes on it and not move a single muscle. As it got closer Skylar could really see the beast. It was a snow leopard! Not that Skylar has seen one in real life before, The fact that one was here was actually pretty amazing. It blended in with the snow the fur being so snow white. It came close and sat down to stare. Skylar 0 Posted March 14, 2015 Author #20 Share Posted March 14, 2015 ID: 12649 LD: 18+ 5 = 23. (+1 for the plushie, +2 For the necklace, +1 for the item I used for the quest, and +1 for the search and detect.) For a second Skylar wondered why it was staring. Then he noticed it was staring at the noodles in his hand. He slowly put some of his noodles into a separate cup and scooted closer to the Snow Leopard. The creature gaze was relentless, as if it was looking into the very recesses of his soul. Then it slowly ate some of Skylar's noodles. The Snow Leopard purred contently so Skylar reached to touch it. It did not seem to reject the contact just went with it, it was pretty laid back for a beast,
