Rusty 0 Posted April 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2015 A small homely cabin lies on the outskirts of the town, where snow covers its windows with a frosty white tint and icicles lie from the door to the roof. Inside is a warm orange glow and when you step inside, the brick fireplace heats up the entire room so it feels as if you're in bed. There is a counter surrounding the outer wall facing the window and a counter on the far side from the door where a certain player is reading his book. Jacob 0 Posted April 6, 2015 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2015 Jacob walked into the amazing new forge that was owned by his friend, Rusty. It was warm inside and felt as if he was at home in his original house back in his real life. The room kinda had a orange glow in it. He walked up to the counter and seen Rusty. Jacob miles and said, "Hey Rusty! Is this place yours?" Jacob looked around the building. It was not as fancy as Jacob's shop. The rack of weapons was empty.
Rusty 0 Posted April 6, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted April 6, 2015 Looking up from his book, Rusty was surprised to see that Jacob was in front of him. The boy questioned hik about whether or not this was his shop. "Yep, it is." He replied to the young player. Hopefully the child wasn't just here to visit him, although it didn't matter that much. "Are you here to order something or similar to that?" Rusty put his book down and took his feet off the counter. "I was about to start making weapons, but I got caught up in the book. Uncommon orders are 250, Rare is 500 and Perfect is 800.

Rusty 0 Posted April 6, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted April 6, 2015 "Jacob, I just started out. I can't do armor yet, but come back at a later time and I will do it." Rusty replied. He didn't want to come off as rude or sarcastic, so he said in a sincere tone. If he was able to, Rusty would do his order but it wasn't allowed at the moment. "In fact, I'll keep the order so when I rank up, you can have it." Rusty offered, not sure if Jacob was going to decide to take his business ssomewhere else.
Rusty 0 Posted April 6, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted April 6, 2015 Rusty decided to artempt some smithing while Jacob made up his mind. This was going to be his first time attempting, but he had high hopes for the first craft indeed. First, he grabbed one of his materials and put it inside the stone brick furnace and waited for a few minutes. As he took it out, something felt wierd. The heated piece of material felt too brittle but Rusty ignored it. Getting his small feeble hammer, Rusty began smashing the metal in order to shape it. After 5 hits, the piece of metal broke into pieces before dissipating in the air. He had took it out too early and now he had wasted his first piece of material. So much for a first craft. Rusty 0 Posted April 6, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted April 6, 2015 Rusty didn't want to end his first day of being a smith in a bad note so he grabbed another one of his materials and put it inside tthe furnace. This time he left it in for about 8 minutes before grabbing the red-hot metal and putting it on his bench. It was soft and malleable, unlike the previous attempt. Grabbing his hammer, Rusty began to mold the fresh hot metal into a form that was shaped like a rapier. Once he finished, Rusty was happy to find that he had made a good rapier. Item: Iron Rapier Item Type: One-Handed RapierQuality: GoodEnchantments: N/ADescription: A standard metallic rapier with the lightness of a feather. Even if it didn't have any enchantment, he didn't care. Today's craft ended with a mediocre item, but it was a perfect one to Rusty. Putting the light rapier onto one of the hooks on the side of the counter facing the door so that people coming in would find a sword right away if they were looking for a purchase. Rusty 0 Posted April 7, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted April 7, 2015 Deciding that he was going to let the previous day's failures get to him, Rusty grabbed another piece of material and threw it inside the furnace. Waiting a few minutes, he took it out and grabbed his trusty hammer. Slamming it down with a strong force, Rusty repeatedly did this until a form took place. It was a half-cracked blade with no hilt to hold it. It was another failure. Sighing, Rusty threw it out, not even wanting to take a chance to salvage the material. He was going to try one more time, and that's it. ID: 14387 CD: 6 - Bad +1 EXP -1 Material Craft 1/
Rusty 0 Posted April 7, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted April 7, 2015 It wasn't going to be a good day for crafting and Rusty knew it. Grabbing another piece of metal, he inserted it into the furnace. After waiting for a few minutes, he took it out and examined it closely. It was way too brittle and it was going to break easily. Still there might've been a chance to fix it. Smashing it with his hammer, the piece of metal broke into millions of pieces before dissipating into oblivion. He had failed once again. Sighing, Rusty decided to stop crafting for the day. Maybe tommorow. ID: 14388 CD: 1 - Critical Failure +1 EXP -1 Material Craft 2/
Rusty 0 Posted April 8, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted April 8, 2015 Rusty decided to try another day of crafting, hopefully this time with success. Grabbing another piece of material, he inserted it into the furnace with an eye on the timer. After exactly 10 minutes of watching the oven for weapons, he took it out slowly before putting it in his miuth while he reached for his hammer. Grabbing his hammer firmly, Rusty saw the perfect rapier in his mind. It was beautiful. Trying to make his dream into reality, Rusty smashed with ease on the soft malleable metal. It came out perfectly. It was a perfect item, just like he imagined. Item: Feather Whip Item Type: One-Handed RapierQuality: PerfectEnchantments: +2 DMG/+1 ACCDescription: A rapier who's lightness allows the user to aim better and a point so sharp that it punctures deep into a target. Smiling because of his success, Rusty decided to continue to craft. He was surprised to find that he made such a good weapon. Rusty 0 Posted April 9, 2015 Author #11 Share Posted April 9, 2015 It was time for Rusty's final craft. Grabbing his trusty hammer, who he had named "Smashy." Opening his furnace which was was blazing hot as always, Rusty grabbed a piece of metal and let it roast for a bit before taking it out of the heater. Grabbing "Smashy", he began to form the warm metal into the shape of a regular dagger. Item: Steel Dagger Item Type: One-Handed DaggerQuality: GoodEnchantments: N/ADescription: A typical dagger made from an average piece of metal. He decided to change his creations up since if he did, there would be a variety of differents weapons for any customers to choose from although no customer had come in the last few days. The dagger was a typical one, no enchantments or anything, but at least it was something. Hanging it next to his first craft, Rusty ended the day with a somewhat happy expression, something that was nice to have once and a while. Reusririasuir 0 Posted April 9, 2015 #12 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Walking into The Empty Shells, Reu was thankful to be out of the damnable cold. He hated extreme cold weather, actually he hated any cold weather, but this cold was miserable. Luckily, The Empty Shells was warm; extremely warm actually. It felt good. Coming in, he noticed a table set out with hot tea, and so he walked over and poured himself a cup. Sipping on his tea, he browsed the forge's wares. Though their wasn't many items, some items stood out and showed that the resident Blacksmith was skilled. A Perfect-grade Rapier in particular. Deciding that he was happy with the quality of the work, and having finished his tea, Reu approached the counter and began filling out an order form. Item Name: Apotheosis Unto Mars Item Type: One-Handed Straight SwordQuality: PerfectEnchantments: +3 DamageDescription: A One-Handed Straight Sword that is actually a pair of swords, fastened into one hilt. The two blades run parallel and are within half an inch of each other. The blades are the same thickness, weight, and length. The left blade-Ea, and the right blade-Apocalypse, will, according to mythology, merge to become a single blade upon its wielders' ascension into a God of War.
Rusty 0 Posted April 9, 2015 Author #13 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Walking up to the newcomer, Rusty put down his hammer and material. He was going to begin crafting again, but was interrupted by the coming of a customer. It was better for this to happen, Rusty could begin working on any orders if the player had one to begin with. Stepping up to the counter, Rusty muttered a hello to the man before taking his order and looking at it. "That would be 800 col or 8 materials. You don't have to pay now however.., when I'm finished with your order you can pay. Ok?" He said at the player.
Reusririasuir 0 Posted April 9, 2015 #14 Share Posted April 9, 2015 Yes, that's fine. I just need the blade crafted quickly. I'm hoping to do some grinding here near the end of the week. Just PM me when it's finished and I'll come pay for it. Thank you for your services! Reu smiled, and quickly made his way out of the store, back into the freezing cold of the fourth floor tundra. Rusty 0 Posted April 10, 2015 Author #15 Share Posted April 10, 2015 "I got it..." Rusty replied, although his voice would fall unto an empty store. Looking at his inventory, he found only one piece of material left. If he didn't get a perfect on this last try, he would have to start searching for more materials. Sighing, he grabbed the last piece of metal and stuffed in his furnace. It would be a few minutes before he removed the iron from it fiery bed and decided to form it into a sword that would fit his new order. However, this was not meant to be. The metal was deformed and looked like a pile of garbage. He had failed and would have to go look for more materials. Rusty 0 Posted April 11, 2015 Author #16 Share Posted April 11, 2015 Rusty had finally gotten another piece of material, but he had to make sure not to waste it. He also wanted to finish up his order so that it wouldn't be bothering him for an entire week. This time, he was going to go about making the weapon in a different fashion. Rusty inserted the metal ingot inside the small fireplace inside the building and stood there for a few minutes. He then grabbed the red hot piece of iron and began to form it into the form of a sword. Unfortunately, the piece of metal was formed into a lump of iron that didn't look anything like a sword. He had messed up again. Rusty was able to salvage the failed attempt by hammering the iron into its original form, however. He then put it back into storage, waiting for another time to craft. Klick 0 Posted April 11, 2015 #17 Share Posted April 11, 2015 Klick walked up to the shop. It read "The Empty Shells" He wondered what it would sell so he walked in. He saw weapons everywhere. He was surpise, and felt lucky. he was getting tired of his heavy glaive. Still weak at japanese speaking. He wrote down a request and placed it on the counter. Rusty 0 Posted April 11, 2015 Author #18 Share Posted April 11, 2015 Rusty was reading a book in the back room of his shop when he heard somebody open the front door and walk towards the counter. It was a boy with birch colored hair and light blue eyes and somewhat taller than Rusty himself. Walking towards the player, Rusty's cold gaze didn't falter and he continued to have a neutral expression on his face. He put down his book on the chair situated there and put his full attention towards him. "Konnichi wa." Rusty greeted, not sure if the boy was Japanese. Usually anybody who played SAO was Japanese, but there were the occasional other nationalities. In fact, the slightly taller player looked strangely American, if not British. Grabbing the order, it seemed that he was wrong.. The order was in Japanese in fact fluent Japanese. In any case, he read the order and put it in the waiting list. Just in case, Rusty said his reply in English. "You will only have to pay when the order is done." If English wasn't understood, Japanese would be spoken.
Rusty 0 Posted April 11, 2015 Author #19 Share Posted April 11, 2015 Rusty grabbed his salvaged material in the hope of a better craft than the one before. All he wanted was to be able to make a weapon at the very least. He inserted the piece of metal inside the little stone furnace inside of his back room and let heat up for about 15 minutes. Taking it out with ease at to not deform it before he could form it into a shape of a weapon, he put out onto the table where he would take his hammer and make it into a proper sword. Rusty began to bring it down unto the metal and continued doing so until he found himself with a regular curved sword. Item: Metal Curved SwordItem Type: One-Handed Curved SwordQuality: GoodEnchantments: N/ADescription: A typical sword with a curve to allow the user more leverage in battle. It was something and if anyone wanted to buy, it was their. Happy with his attempt, Rusty sat down and began reading the book that he had put down earlier in the day. Rusty 0 Posted April 18, 2015 Author #20 Share Posted April 18, 2015 After gaining material from the boar he fought with Vashtor, Rusty had continued to his shop and settled in for the night. Today, he was going to finally attempt to finish some orders or at the very least leveling up. The material had been in the furnace at a low temperature the whole night, so he only had to take it out and start crafting. Grabbing his hammer, Rusty began to hammer the sides of the metal into the shape of a typical sword before grabbing a piece of wood and inserting into a hole inside the metal that he had made with a drill. Then he hammered all around the wood so that steel tightly held the hilt. A good item had been created. Rusty then put it up with all the other good items he created. Item: Iron SwordItem Type: One-Handed Straight SwordQuality: GoodEnchantments: N/ADescription: A regular iron sword with a wooden hilt.
