Fluctuating Levels

Hi everyone; 


As you may have noticed levels are fluctuating wildly right now:

-In the beginning many people's levels had gone down. Some more than others - this was because all OOC posts were removed from the post count. So anything not pertaining to the RP did not count toward post counts.

-Now levels have gone up!
This is because all posts, everywhere across the site seem to now be included in the post count.


Why is this happening?

At this stage it is unclear; I've received confirmation that the level formula hasn't been messed with. Chances are; there may have  been a forum software update; and it is messing with the plugin with the levels. Now the levels may fluctuate a few more times whilst we attempt to fix this issue, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

What do I do when I am in a thread and my level has gone up/down
-Just RP as the level and HP that you had when you started the thread. That way you don't have to RP that it has gone up or down.

I want to start a new thread, what should I do?
This is a little more difficult; I would reccomend avoiding battle in a new thread until the issue has been fixed. It should hopefully not take too long, unfortunately it has occured during a time when many staff are busy. The Admins will work hard to ensure this is fixed post haste!

Is it possible every new post is being counted for everybody? Just a thought as we're all leveling sporadically at roughly the same rate.

Going by Erroneous update;

Levels have been trimmed down considerably. Everyone's posts have been resynced and all sections net you posts.
Level 60 is the current cap.

This also means that staff are going to be harder when it comes to spam. So don't spam folks.

After a few days of testing; the final roll call on levels has been established. In addition, all staff sections, the introduction section, the anime section, the games section, the general section, the fan roleplay section, and the general unrestricted section do not contribute to your post counts. All posts have been resynced, and the cache has been resynced (the caused of the last fluctuating levels). At the time of this post, the newest cap is 85. If you noticed some of your post missing from the last update this week, it was likely because your posts were in one of the sections mentioned above. Through this process no posts were deleted; with the exception of the old MMO topic being set to "hidden". Without further ado, here's the latest roster of posts.
