[PP-F2] Quiet Days (Ethereal & Rebekah)

Recommended Posts

Rusty sat atop a branch in one of the redwood trees that populated floor 2. Although it wasn't too high off the ground, he did have trouble getting atop of one since he didn't have much experience tree climbing. Still, it gave relief from the countless mobs the floor had to give and he was pleased to have had a nice spot among the tree. The branch was big enough so that he could lay down against the reddish-brown bark, but small enough that anybody could see him from a bit of a distance. Although, if a person were to see him sleeping in a zone where players were able to be killed, they would assume he was high-leveled and therefore able to rest without an repercussions. Although he didn't have a book, Rusty was content enough to hang his legs from the branch and observe the woods from his viewpoint.

Of course, Rusty was still a bit worried about any possible attackers and so he had his rapier equipped and placed to the side of him in case of any problems that could occur with him being alone in the woods. The sun was brighter than ever and it shone through the somewhat thick treetops, lighting the area around him. He was in the dark, which was favorable to keep hidden. Rusty's short coffee-colored hair flowed through the air, which was a bit brisk but not so fast as to give discomfort. It was peaceful and quiet, and it felt like a weekend back in the real world. However, unlike most teenagers his age, he usually had these quiet days during the week since the lack of friends didn't give him any reason to go out with anyone and either he stayed at home, took a walk in the park, or just read a book outside. Even then, these moments were the ones Rusty cherished the most.

Eth had been casually strolling the rather bland Floor Two for a few hours now, it'd been so long since he was last here and the Specialist was feeling rather nostalgic. Picking up alchemical ingredients - which literally grew on trees if you knew where to look - Eth was pretty chilled.

He had been taking a small stone-built path the past couple minutes dressed in his regular clothes. While many people constantly wore armor, the young man believed that deception was a useful tool for avoiding conflict. Grey cloak and long brown hair ruffling in the cool breeze, Eth sighed. Time out was good.

That was when Argent cawed. Instantly alert, he drew his greatsword with the scrape of bone on metal. Argent never cawed! He was much too aloof for that hence Eth high-tailed it to the sound of his familiar.

Rounding a sizeable outcrop of redwoods he spotted the silver-white streak that was his albino raven perched upon a small branch above what appeared to be a sleeping player. "Hmmm." he murmured, taking several steps towards the lad high above him. Judging by the fact Argent wasn't moving or airborne Ethereal decided that there was no imminent threat and sheathed the massive sword across his back in one deft move.

Cupping his hands to his mouth he hollered "Hey! What're you doing up there?"

Rebekah had been walking around places the last few weeks. She tried to spend as much time trying to explore all the floors once again, as there was nothing happening these past weeks. She had been training to grow stronger, but she knew that she was going to burn herself out if she did that daily, so she spent the rest of her time, exploring the floors. This past week, she had spent the majority of her time on the second floor, and as she continued down the path. She thought she saw a familiar face, one that she has not seen in months. He was not wearing any armour, or equipment.

It was common for her to see many players who often go missing, especially a lot of the players who had been around fighting longer than she had. It had just been one of those things that had happened, and typically, she did not presume they were dead but just taking a break. Sometimes those breaks would take forever, but once in a while, she would hear of a player who was now appearing again, as an active player. She walked up to the guy, who she had not seen in a long time, "Long time no see, Ethereal, what had you been up to?" as she walked towards the base of the tree that he was standing nearby.

Rusty quickly rose up from where he was and repositioned himself so that his legs were dangling off the side of the bench and he was facing the player who had awoken him. He frowned with annoyed look on his eyes as he observed the man. "Some people don't know when to leave others alone." he grumbled as he dropped down from the branch with his rapier in hand. Rusty then sheated it as to not provoke the person or to give the impression that he was hostile in a physical way. "What do you want?" he questioned, wanting to know the reason for his sleep to be interrupted. Then another voice came from another direction, and Rusty turned to look in the direction of the newcomer. "Oh what now?" Rusty muttered.
