PP - F4 Nightly Snowfall in Snowfrost (Teayre) (Completed)

After witnessing the sun set at the frozen lake they were at Calrex and Teayre began to make their way back towards Snowfrost. As they walked the lights of the small lamps that lit up the pathways to and from the settlement came alight as they continued walking.

 

Calrex kept a smile on his face as he kept an arm wrapped around Teayre, looking over at her as they walked.

 

"She wanted to know about my past relationships...I guess I need to start working on a way of conveying it. I mean, it is easier to talk about after the years of being away from them, but I guess having to remember those moments...if it's anything barely close to Teayre's story...are still going to be hard to talk about. I'll need to prepare myself."

 

"Was there anywhere you wanted to go before we got back to the inn? We've still got some time before the stores closed if you want to look around."

 

He looked as they passed through the gates into Snowfrost. The fresh snow continued falling from the skies above, gently settling on his shoulders and head as they kept walking.

Teayre returned Calrex’s smile as he held her, her own arm wrapped around his waist as they walked together. Beleram was perched on Teayre’s free shoulder leaning against her sleepily.

 

“Umm… There’s nowhere I need to go, but would you… Would you like to go out for a meal or something… Maybe see if they’re a theatre show somewhere on this level…â€

 

Blushing she watched Calrex as they entered the gates, shuffling her feet Teayre stumbled and fell over.

 

“Arh!â€

 

As she landed she fell flat into the snow, her hands underneath her. Standing her looks at Cal making sure her hands are behind her as she leans up kissing him, batting her eyelids at him before placing the snow she’d gathered onto his back underneath his jacket and shirt. Grinning Teayre jumps back just out of reach, sticking her tongue out at him.

 

“We never did have that snowball fight Cal.â€

"Huh, are you alri..."

 

After Teayre got back to her feet and kissed him Calrex's eyes closed for a second, but then his feeling of joy was shocked by the familiar feeling of snow down his back, except this time he actually felt it touch his skin.

 

"Gah!"

 

He quickly flapped his shirt and jacket, the snow falling out from below. After doing this several times he managed to get it all out, looking over at Teayre as he put some distance between them, blowing him a raspberry.

 

"We never did have that snowball fight Cal."

 

"Oh really now..."

 

He put a smirk on his face as he quickly dropped down and gathered some snow into a ball, packing it moderately tight so that it would still easily break apart on impact. With that he looked over at Teayre, "Well we'd better solve that shouldn't we?"

As Calrex threw his snowball it flew at Teayre with great speed, but as it got just a few paces out the packing actually came apart as it turned from a single medium sized snowball into a shower of snow. Calrex looked as it flew and covered Teayre like a shower of snow, "Well, that wasn't what I intended, but it worked nonetheless."

As the snow showered over her Teayre dove to the left rolling taking cover behind a wall compacting some of the snow in her hands she spins as she stands up throwing the ball at Calrex smirking she ducks back down hearing a small thud. Peeking over the wall her vision suddenly becomes covered with snow, hearing a screech of an eagle she looks up seeing Beleram flying away from a tree that was just above her, oddly free from snow.

 

“That little… Cal, we’re getting him!â€

 

Pointing at Beleram Teayre loosely packs another snowball before throwing it at the eagle, as it sailed through the air it disintegrated joining the falling snow flakes above Calrex. Grinning she pauses as her mouth drops.

 

“Ooopps…†

As Teayre turned her focus to Beleram Calrex nodded, "Alright, let's ge..."

 

As he was about to set his eyes on Beleram he felt a bunch of snow fall on top of him. His head turned slightly, seeing Teayre had a face that spelled "oops" all over it. As he turned his head back he began to pack more and more snow into a larger ball than before, turning to face Teayre, his eyes glinting with mischievous stars.

 

With that he turned and hurled the ball of snow, but it split into two. One fell short of Teayre, and the other Calrex lost track of before he heard a loud "squawk!" He looked up to see that Beleram had gotten covered in snow as he landed, ruffling his feathers as the snow fell off of it, "Huh, guess I got him after all."

Letting a small cheer out Teayre ducks down behind the wall crawling on her hands and knees, poking her head around she sees Calrex looking up at Beleram scurrying round quickly hoping to avoid being seen, she quietly packs some more snow together before picking it up and throwing it towards Calrex. As she watched the snowball fly forwards it arced downwards landing at Calrex’s feet.

 

“Truce… Over…â€

 

Turning about Teayre sprints down the main road ducking into a side alley as she walks a little bit further down she spots a small shop with an open sign in front of it. Walking over she peeks in and sees several round tables each within a booth. There were two long candles on each table each lit. Looking around Teayre finds herself alone for the moment, a hand going to her stomach as it rumbles.

As Calrex looked back over he saw that Teayre had taken off down into the settlement, "Wha? Hey! Beleram we've gotta catch up to her!"

 

He gave a calming breath as he let his <<Reveal>> ability activate, allowing him to see through the wall of the city as he used his <<Sprint>> ability to quickly run inside. As he made a quick turn he saw Teayre standing in front of a restaurant, her hand on her stomach. Calrex let his abilities deactivate as he gave a smile, walking over as he put a hand on her shoulder, "Hm...this looks like a nice place. Shall we get something to eat?"

 

The interior of the shop looked very homely and welcoming, as if the theme of the place was trying to go for that appearance. They even went so far as to place some pictures and weaves stichings that said things like, "There's No Place Like Home." Some of the foods being prepared seemed to be long-cooking dishes like stews, braises, and such that also retained a lot of their warmth from the cooking, perfect for the cold wintery nights in Snowfrost.

 

As he looked at Teayre a thought passed through his head, "Hey, where's Beleram? I thought he was right behind me when I ran after you."

"Hm...this looks like a nice place. Shall we get something to eat?"

 

“Huh… Y-yeah…†Taking Calrex’s hand she opens the door, ducking down as a white bundles comes hurtling over her and into the restaurant.

“What the… Beleram? Well that solves that issue Callie.â€

 

Entering the restaurant she slides into a booth, bringing her menu up she unequips her sword whilst equipping her more Victorian style outfit. Blushing as she looks over to Calrex smiling sheepishly

 

“Well it’s a nice place, I figured I’d dress up a bit…â€

 

Picking up a menu she opens it leaning her face down her eyes peeking over the top at Calrex, flicking between his face and the menu.

 

“Say what do you think looks nice?â€

As Teayre dressed up in her VIctorian outfit Calrex's face flushed as he looked around, "S-Silly, you look beautiful...here hold on."

 

He quickly swiped through his menu, "Let's see, I put it in here somewhere...ah here it is!"

 

As he pushed the item his entire body was covered in a flash of light. His casual combat clothing had changed to the suit that Teayre had picked out for him when they had going out and around the Starting City. He closed his eyes for a second as he adjusted the neck of his suit, "M-ahem...does it look alright? I figured if you were going to dress up I should as well."

 

As Teayre presented the menu he began to scan through it, "Hm...all of them seem delicious. Give me a second, I think I should be able to pick something out. Was there anything that you saw that looked interesting?"

Keeping the menu held so that Calrex can only see her eyes, Teayre smiles her blush deepening as Calrex changes into her suit.

 

“You look… So handsome Callie… You’re, You’re unbelievably cute in that outfit, you should wear it more often.â€

 

Her eyes flicking downwards to the menu she lays it on the table, her tongue poking out as she ticks off various items with her finger.

 

“Ooooh that looks nice, lamb shank in a rosemary and red wine sauce with roast vegetables. I think I’ll have that with some water Callie, what do you think?â€

 

Smiling again she looks at him with wide eyes that twinkled as she looked at him resting her hands on her head she begins to stare at Calrex’s face for some time.

 

“I wonder what he’ll have to eat, everything on this menu looks so nice… I really hope he asks me tonight… I doubt he will though, we’ve never really discussed it so it’ll be tough to do… I wonder if he feels the same way about me though…â€

 

“I’d better order some rare venison for Beleram as well, give him a little treat.†The eagle quietly squawked at Teayre’s words, hopping up and down on the table.

"That lamb shank does sound pretty good, definitely sounds like a good pick Teayre."

 

Calrex's face was flushed after Teayre complimented him on the suit, "H-Hey you were the one that picked it out. I'm just the person filling it, heh."

 

As he continued to look through the menu many slow cooked meals looked familiar. Brunswick stew, hasenpfeffer, goulash, even beef bourguignon . But one seemed fairly interesting out of all of them.

 

"Hm...I think I'll give their veal osso bucco a try. That is usually pretty filling and has a great taste to it."

 

As he turned and saw Beleram hopping up and down in excitement at Teayre's comment about giving him some venison he gave a smile as he looked back over at Teayre, "Wow, he's certainly excited about it. I wonder if there's a way to teach him to do tricks with that kind of enticement."

 

As he spoke he looked back over at the eagle with a joking face, "Hm...nah, Beleram's too much of a free spirit to fall for something like that."

Chuckling at Calrex's comment on trying to get Beleram to do some tricks, she watches her familiar very closely reaching a hand out slowly stroking him.

"I wouldn't be so sure, I reckon he would... At least for not for anyone else he does like to show off and if he gets food at the same time all the better for it I think." As she finished speaking a waited turned up telling her their order Teayre smiles ordering a small bottle of rose for them as well. "Is that okay Callie, I never asked what you like to drink..."

Reaching over the table she takes the boys hand smiling up at him, as she began to blush again.

"Huh, yeah, that's perfectly fine Teayre. I'm not picky about what to drink at all."

 

As Teayre took his hand Calrex felt his cheeks tinge red as he gave a smile. After finishing placing his order as well he looked over at Teayre, "So, did you decide on where you wanted to get a house I remember you mentioned that you liked this floor, but I don't remember if you actually came to a concrete decision."

 

"After all that's happened, things still feel like I'm in a dream sometimes. Ever since the first floor, how much we've grown as players, as a couple...maybe it is a good time?"

 

He kept the smile on his face as he looked around the restaurant, "I guess after what's happened maybe I'm starting to get love on the brain as well..."

Blushing at the mention of the house Teayre smiles up at Calrex before averting her gaze to beleram who was busy preening himself. As the waitress came out with the plate of raw venison Teayre thanked her before tossing one of the pieces up into the air. The eagle glanced up before somersaulting into the air and catching the slither of meat in his beak.

"See I told you he would Callie, as for the house after spending the last couple of days up here I do really enjoy it , it's nice and peaceful however it all depends on what we would like as a couple. I feel like you just tag along most of the time and I want you to be happy as well Cal and have your say in things even if I disagree..."

As the waitress brought Beleram's meal Calrex watched as the eagle performed an aerial somersault before catching it, giving a smile as the familiar began to happily chow down.

 

As Teayre responded to his question about the house he gave a nod as he smiled, "Well, you're not the only one that thinks this floor is a nice place to have somewhere to rest. Even with the chilling weather outside there's still a nice feel to the fourth floor. Besides..."

 

He kept the smile on his face as he leaned in slightly, looking in Teayre's eyes, "The cold weather at night would make us want to stay in more of the time than going out and about right? It means I could spend more alone time with you..."

 

There was a second of silence before Calrex's face erupted with a flush. He quickly moved back so that he was sitting upright in his seat, "D-Did that just come out of my mouth?! W-Wait a second, that sounded like something a really smooth guy would say! N-No, that's not me at all. Gh!"

 

He put a hand behind his head as he looked down at his menu, his face still flushed, "S-Sorry, that sounded kinda cheesy didn't it."

Teayre blushed and giggled like a school girl amongst a group of friends discussing a cute boy. Smiling at him she gently squeezes his hand before taking a couple of deep breaths meeting his eyes.

"Thats not cheesy at all Callie... In fact I think it's really romantic, I love the idea of spending more time alone with you sharing a house and maybe even... Maybe even marrying you..."

As she paused for a moment she clapped a hand over her mouth as she then started to talk really fast.

"I mean not right now of course because we're in a restuatant maybe some time soon in the future when we have enough people to invite to the wedding and like not have it so oikawa is the only other person there except us cause if I could I'd get married to you right now that's not what I mean though but it is I just love you so much that I want to be yours officially."

"...Maybe even marrying you..."

 

As those words left Teayre's mouth Calrex's eyes widened in surprise as his full face blush deepened even more. "S-So she has been thinking about it..."

 

As Teayre began to rationalize against going into the idea so soon Calrex listened intently as he let the thoughts pass through his mind.

 

"The marriage system in SAO is important to players because of the fact that the links the players inventories, kind of like a representation of how married couples tend to legally share a lot of thing I guess. Other than that from what I knew it's more on the lines of doing something like establishing that the two are exclusively in a relationship. I wouldn't say I'd weight it as much as a real-life marriage, but still..."

 

"O-Of course, I can understand why you would want to do something like that...and I've been giving it some thought too..."

 

As he was about to finish his sentence the waitress returned with their orders, interrupting his train of thought. As he looked down at the food he gave a smile as he looked over at Teayre, "I-In any case let's talk about it back at the inn. For now let's dig in!"

"Y-you've been thinking about it to?"

Teayres mouth dropped as she looked at Calrex before taking a sip from her glass of einr, nodding at the waitress in thanks she picks up a smaller bit of venison before dangling it on Belerams nose.

"Wait."

The eagle froze his eyes looking forward.

"Waaiit."

Beleram shifted uncomfortably as his tongue started to slip out.

"Okay go one boy tuck into it , it's all yours ."

Flipping his beak up he catches the slice in his mouth before shuffling over to his small plate and tucking in. Teayre following her familiars eager display of eating picked her cutlery up before slicing a small piece of meat from the shank and placing it daintly in her mouth sighing as the flavours hit her tongue.

Catching Calrex's eye Teayre blushed before focusing on her food.

"S-sorry Cal..."

"Heh, no need to apologize. It's really good."

 

Calrex gave a laugh as he watched Teayre try to train Beleram to obey the wait command before she took a bite of her food. He used his fork to mix some of the inner meat of the veal as he mixed it with the pasta that came with it before taking a bite. The mix of flavors easily complimented each other as he chewed. It tasted really good as he swallowed, looking over at his dinner date, "Here Teayre, did you want to try a bite?"

 

He made a medium-sized spoonful of the food on his plate as he extended his utensil out towards her, "If you don't want to it's alright. If it not, then aaah."

 

"This reminds of that restaurant on the first floor we went to, although that one seemed a little more for a romantic setting, since the lighting and ambiance gave off that feeling."

Before Calrex had finished speaking Teayre had shut her mouth around the food, pulling back she chewed slowly sighing at the taste.

"Why can't everything's I eat taste this good Callie? Oh... I thought I made you uncomfortable... I just..."

Falling silent as she tucked back into her food more playing with it now than trying to eat it, scooping some up she offers it to Calrex blushing slightly.

"Ahhh?"
