I would love to rp! I'm actually a bit curious, when making my charecter, are we assuming everyone was there day of when the log out button was erased or what? Lol just want to make sure I'm setting things up correctly.

Everyone must RP from day 1 of the log out sequence, generally it is assumed that new users rarely ventured out of the starting towns which is why they have a low level. 

You cannot log into SAO 'after the fact' in other words you cannot go "Oh yeh my character knew it was a death game but entered anyway because YOLO!"  (Legit something I have seen in a journal before.) 

 

So in answer to your question, yes it is assumed you were there on the day the log out button disappeared :)

No, not at all- to be honest I interpeted that as you were just sorta dazed in the town. I would edit it out.
