Liam grew up living a decent life one would say. His family always treated him well, but did not spoil him. Liam would grow up to never forget the love his parents showed him when he was younger. Good things sometimes seem to never last however. In the years Liam attended grade school, his mother and father no longer seemed to see eye to eye, and fights became more and more frequent with the two, at the time never seeming to progress past constant yelling, keeping Liam awake some nights. One night, these fights took a complete turn for the worst when Liam walked in on his father after hitting his mother out of anger. The images scarred Liam, and before his father could do anything about the son who now witnessed everything, his mother quickly got away from her abusive husband, taking Liam and leaving the household. Over the next couple of weeks, Liam and his mother managed to get some of their necessities from their old house. Most would end up being given away or sold, since Liam’s mother did not have a job with enough pay to purchase a new home. So his mother turned to her family back in her home country of Japan, specifically the city of Yokohama. Although Liam would miss his homeland of Ireland, he was excited to start a new life in this new country. Being settled into their new home, Liam finished up elementary school at an English speaking school in Japan and even attended a bilingual high school, making sure to learn the language of the country as well. Despite moving around and learning a new language, Liam still held some of his original accent whenever speaking in English. Liam easily adapted to the high school setting in Japan, and even managed to make some friends there. His main group of friend introduced Liam to anime, fantasy, and table top games like Dungeon and Dragons, to which he immediately took a liking to. Liam also met a girl names Reina whom he dated for a couple of years. Their relationship ended abruptly when it was revealed she was cheating on him with another guy, who pummeled Liam into the dirt when he attempted to confront him. Luckily, Liam had his friends and his interests to take his mind off of what happened. After graduating high school, Liam applied to different colleges in the area.. but the one he took most interest in was a college back home, Dublin City University. Being a native to the land, and having the grades for it of course, Liam was accepted into their program. He took the trip back to Ireland where he would dorm and attend college for the next couple of years. He even managed to get in touch with his father, who was now living on his own and regretted everything he had done to split their family up. Liam moved on to graduate college with a degree in teaching mathematics, and he decided to move back to Japan to be closeby to his mother, who was beginning to grow ill. Despite wanting to be back where his mother lived, Liam decided to move into an apartment nearby as he looked for a teaching job in the area. As he searched for jobs, Liam decided he needed something to take his mind off of the stress.. That was when he heard about a new game coming out, Sword Art Online. Liam had grown accustomed to playing some MMORPG’s while in college on his days off, and this one really seemed to go above the rest. » Virtues: Spoiler Heart of Gold: Both in and out of game, Jomei is very kind towards others. He never strays away from helping a player in need, even if it puts his own life in danger. Jomei will always try to assist a friend, even a stranger if deemed trustworthy enough, in any was possible. If the one Jomei is helping betrays his trust, however, he will make sure that they get what they deserve. Musical Virtuoso: Once a musician in the real world, Jomei carried that trait over into Aincrad. Taking up the profession of a performer, Jomei took his new ability to use musical instruments in game seriously. For awhile, Jomei could almost be found playing his lute either in his shop, in a pub, or just walking the streets of various floors. His bard-like attitude also helps Jomei in various situations with others, being able to talk to him with his charisma as a performer. In his spare time, he can usually be found writing music or practicing a new instrument. Light in a Dark Room: Akin to his namesake, Jomei always tries his hardest to be the light that pushes through the dark cloud of despair that surrounds Aincrad. Despite how he may feel internally, he always tries to keep a smile on his face, hoping that someone else may find it contaigous. Born to Lead...: A certain air about Jomei has brought others to believe that he is fit to lead them. Whether its the head of a guild, or being the front man of a raid party against a floor boss, Jomei has been trusted as someone who can get the job done. Be it his experience in learning to be a teacher, or his want to always help those in need. » Flaws: Spoiler Don't Leave Me..: Jomei fears abandonment and being left behind more than anything else. Wanting nothing more than to be there for those he loves, to push them forward and support them through every ordeal.. but what happens when they aren't there for him when he needs it? When he reaches out to those he cares about, and all he sees is their backs walking farther and farther away. The last thing he wants is for his memory to die out as just another name etched on the Monument of Life, forgotten. A Broken Man: It was not until his time in Aincrad that Jomei knew how it felt to be taken down a few notches. The loss of friends, the weight of surviving this ordeal, betrayal, and abandonment truly shattered the image of who Jomei once was. The cracks spreading as time goes on. The mask he wears with a bright smile bolted tightly to his face.. though how long it will remain is uncertain. ...Expected to Fail: The downside to being seen as someone who can lead is how hard he hits the ground when he falls. With the weight of others on his shoulders, seeds of doubt seem to plant themselves into Jomei's self conscious, sprouting into vines that grasp at his ankles and pull him deep under. The air is crisp, filled with the earthy scent of damp soil and the sweet aroma of pine. The lake, a glassy mirror reflecting the vivid canopy above, shimmers under the warm glow of the sun, inviting visitors to dip their toes into its cool waters. Nestled deep within a vibrant forest, the two-story cottage stands serenely by the lake, a charming haven amidst nature's spectacle. Its weathered wooden exterior is cloaked in rich hues of deep green, harmonizing with the surrounding foliage. A stone path winds through a carpet of fallen leaves, leading to the front porch, an open air sitting room with a fire pit in the center. The estate interior radiates warmth and charm, with rustic wooden beams overhead and soft, earthy tones throughout. A charming mix of Japanese and European furnishings wrapped in a cozy package. Passing through the genkan, a crackling fireplace serves as the focal point, surrounded by plush armchairs and a thick, woven rug that invites you to sink in. Natural light pours in through large windows, framed by simple linen curtains. Shelves are lined with pottery, recording crystals and vintage books, adding character and personality.
