» About: Daniel was never all that social. He would spend time outside with friends from school on occasion, but he would mostly be in his room playing a wide assortment of video games. Daniel played MMORPG's the most and would never go a day without playing one. After a while, he had somehow come upon the name Axel from another game and fell in love with it so much that he used it as every username for every game and every character name, assuming neither were taken. Now when Sword Art Online was announced, he counted the days until release, barely getting any rest in anticipation. When the day before launch came, he set up camp right away to make sure he got a copy. As soon as he got it the next day, he raced home and waited until all the servers were up before putting on the Nerve Gear and saying the two words that would send him into the most terrifying experience he's ever been in.

So far his time in SAO has been uneventful and he has only aquired a white cloak with a black outline of a phoenix on the back.

Now onto his personality. Daniel wasn't all that outgoing IRL, so not many people knew his personality there. Even online he was very mysterious about who he was, smiling and joking one day and another being serious about everything. Daniel doesn't mind being in a guild, but if he is in one, he makes it a personal goal to be of a high ranking in that guild.

» Virtues:

Reflexes. Daniel has always had good reflexes from playing sports during gym since he had nothing better to do, and also from playing video games for literally half of his life if not more than that. His reflexes are what keeps him alive in games , usually favoring a one handed sword with no shield since it allows him to move around quickly. For armor, he usually uses light or medium for the same reason.

Natural Leader. Daniel has always thought of himself as someone who leads. In every guild he's been in, he would become at least an officer and always led well. In guild battles from other games, his coordination led his guild to victory just about every time. And outside of battle, he helps his fellow players out with quests and inner guild conflicts that others may not be able to deal with. He also motivates everyone and is great at giving speeches, no matter what the circumstance. He hopes this will help him later in SAO if he ever joins a guild.

Courageous. Daniel has been viewed upon as courageous by many, IRL and online. He would stand up for others when they were picked on in school and would risk his character's life in a video game or rp, even if it meant losing that character forever. Of course, he knows the difference between stupidity and bravery, knowing that trying to stop a bank robbery without a weapon would be suicide and would never attempt it...with a knife however...

» Flaws:

Arrogant. Despite being brave and a leader, Daniel also thinks he's better than others and believes he's one of the best gamers around. The fact he's just about never been beaten in an even one-on-one fight doesn't help his ego either, but instead fuels it. And also being a high ranking member in every guild he's been in also doesn't help. Even though he enjoys giving help, he despises receiving it, even if he's in a rough situation.

Power Hungry. Now, despite being a nice guy, he loves to be the most powerful guy around. Money isn't as important to him as experience and will do almost anything to get it. Of course, he claims to do this to help others, which he does, but not many people view it like that and many people think him a jerk for all the things he does to people to get what he wants, even if in the long run it helps someone.

Anger Issues. Daniel has some major anger management issues and can burst out into a fit of rage at any time and it will take a while for him to cool down. Of course, someone has to make him mad first before he erupts. For instance, someone once called him an outcast and loner when he was ten, which ended in the other boy with a broken arm and Daniel with a detention. Over the years it got better however, and now major insults are the only things that will make him explode in ball of fury...well, for now at least.
