Khaosclaire 0 Posted May 29, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Can somebody explain the diffrence? I mean I get that vouchers are used to re-customize gear of that type or lower. That makes sense, But what exactly does VIP do? Does it upgrade items as well? Not well explained ~.~
XWuZHeAR 0 Posted May 29, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2015 I actually do not know if merchants are allowed to sell those items anymore. As they are not listed in the new proffesions guide written by oske. However the essence of steal quest has a drop that upgrades an item. I'd be happy to help you if you decide to try to take that quest
Khaosclaire 0 Posted May 29, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Mechants can still make them actually, takes 2 mats to make an atempt; it's there on the profession guide. Directly from last post in http://www.sao-rpg.com/topic/6372-complete-profession-guide/ Crafting Die Results Merchants may trade basic items for vouchers. Vouchers can re-assign an item’s enhancements, and are generally sold in the custom area of the store. Voucher results can be improved with a Merchant Scale, which adds a +1 to the CD and can be purchased from a blacksmith or an artisan. Merchants must offer at least two items to receive a voucher. ►The CD Result Chart [1] = Critical failure (Lose all materials you were trading) [2-3] = Fail (Lose half of materials you were trading) [4] = Bad item (No deal) [5-7] = Good item (Uncommon vouchers x2) [8-9] = Uncommon item (Rare voucher x1) [10] = Rare item (Rare voucher x2) [11] = Rare item (Perfect voucher x1) [12] = Perfect item (VIP Perfect voucher x 1)
XWuZHeAR 0 Posted May 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Oh ok just remember it's items not mats, like the starting weapons everyone gets. But yeah the VIP voucher is interesting il give it that. Not exactly my area of expertise sadly but I'm sure mari would know or atleast ask the higher ups what they say it is. Also there's a chance oske could come back in a little while to clear up things like this.
Khaosclaire 0 Posted May 29, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Oh doesn't use mats? Then you might wana tell the only other merchant I've seen as a merchant that; as he was turning mat's into Coupons. I assumed it was basically salvaging good quality equipment at first until I saw him craft- but it's possible he was doing it wrong. His name is Hikoru.
XWuZHeAR 0 Posted May 29, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Hey man I'm not a PST or a GM report that to mari she's usually good about setting records straight. Also I hear that GM's and PSTs mostly skim shop items and non quest RP's so maybe it just got past them.

XWuZHeAR 0 Posted May 29, 2015 #9 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Ok so I found out what VIP vouchers do for you here http://www.sao-rpg.com/topic/6155-f1-catfish-sundries-merchant-general-store-closed-for-business/?hl=vouchersit says that VIP vouchers are the same as perfect one but players can also change the item type.
